Blake Lively’s Attorneys Declare “Victory” In Baldoni Lawsuit

Blake Lively’s attorneys have called her settlement with Justin Baldoni over their movie ‘It Ends With Us’ a “resounding victory” as both sides submitted paperwork withdrawing from the case. The dispute was settled with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled. Baldoni also waived any appeal rights tied to the judge’s decision. Lively can still pursue attorney fees and punitive damages linked to Baldoni’s dismissed counter-defamation lawsuit against her. Previous reports claimed that neither Lively nor Baldoni would receive financial compensation through the settlement, which came just two weeks before the trial was set to begin. Lively’s attorneys have claimed that Baldoni and other defendants “now face personal liability for abusing the legal system to silence and intimidate Ms Lively.” They also said by withdrawing, the defendants acknowledged that Lively’s concerns “deserved to be heard,” ending “the fiction” that she fabricated her claims. In her original suit, Lively accused Baldoni of creating a toxic workplace on set and coordinating a smear campaign by using social media to “silence” and “eviscerate” her.
