Among her critics was the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., who tweeted, “The ‘tax the rich’ dress while she’s hanging out with a bunch of wealthy leftwing elites.” Ocasio-Cortez defended the statement, telling reporters on the runway that the dress was “about having a real conversation.”
