Argentine leader threatens sanctions over Falkland Islands claim

Shelagh Fogarty speaks with the former Governor of the Falkland Islands Donald Lamont about Argentina's latest threat over the British territory. Argentinian President Javier Milei said he would sign decrees to introduce sanctions against any companies working on oil production in the area. Milei also reaffirmed his claim that 'the Falkland Islands are Argentinian.' In response, PM Andy Burnham has said he 'fully supports the wishes of the islanders to remain a British overseas territory'. Donald Trump is yet to back the UK, causing 'diplomatic tension'.
