I understand my audience are already fishermen and already know how to do this stuff. However, when you are teaching someone else it can seem hard. I have taught other people to fish and I want to help you learn how to teach as well. Holding a rod properly is a basic skill you need. You learn to hold rod, cast different weight lures, hook a fish and then handling a fish. It is all important.
I like my own definition of the "Vulcan Grip" for the fishing rod. I might even think about making that a reel thing..ha! Remember to relax when you doing all this and you will learn it faster.
