Today is the day I finally deliver on my
0:03
promise to tell you how you can win one
0:04
of these. It's an Insta 360 Ace Pro 2.
0:08
So, latest action camera by Insta 360.
0:12
I've been using one for quite a while
0:13
now. Uh I've had a lot of fun with it.
0:16
It's uh it's a lovely bit of kit. It's
0:18
uh it's been on some of my really deep
0:20
uh expiration dives recently. But the
0:22
one that you are in for an opportunity
0:24
to win is, as you can see here,
0:27
completely brand new, never been opened,
0:29
still in the box. So, it's uh it's a
0:32
fantastic camera. It will be a great
0:34
prize, and you know, one of you lucky
0:36
people uh should be able to win it. It's
0:38
not just by itself, though. It comes
0:40
complete with this as well, which is the
0:42
60 m rated um diving housing for it. And
0:47
I've also got one of these as well,
0:48
which is the floating handle as well.
0:50
So, uh you can you can use that as well.
0:52
So, some really good items to win there.
0:55
That whole lot will go to one lucky
0:57
person. What I'm going to do in this
1:00
video is I'm going to tell you why I
1:02
love that Insta 360 so much. I'm going
1:05
to explain how to enter the competition
1:07
and I'm going to give you a secret code
1:10
as well. So, somewhere in this video is
1:12
a secret code that will give you more
1:14
opportunities to win. That does mean
1:15
that you're going to need to listen to
1:17
my video all the way through. But hey,
1:19
um I guess well hopefully you'll agree
1:21
it's a small price to pay. So on we go.
1:25
Why I think it's so good and remember
1:28
listen out for that secret code. Now if
1:30
you go uh on to other videos on YouTube,
1:33
they will spend a lot of time telling
1:35
you about the different stats associated
1:38
with Insta 360 and the different modes
1:40
and how they use it and how it
1:42
specifically compares to other cameras.
1:44
Uh, I'm not going to do that because
1:46
it's not really my area of expertise. I
1:50
am a diver who takes videos. It's always
1:52
been my kind of sort of uh principle.
1:56
What I'm not is a videographer who
1:58
happens to go diving. So, I think what
2:00
that means is I'm probably in terms of
2:02
using a video, I'm much similar to most
2:05
people who are going to watch this. You
2:07
know, really all I really want is a uh
2:10
something that I can take underwater
2:12
with me and is going to produce the best
2:13
possible quality, and I don't want to
2:16
have to spend ages mcking around with
2:18
settings or doing different bits and
2:20
pieces to it. So, the good news is
2:22
that's where I think I am now with the
2:24
Insta Ace Pro 2. I've figured out
2:28
exactly how to get the best possible
2:30
results out of it. And as you've already
2:31
seen from some of the clips I'm showing
2:33
you while I'm talking, I have got some
2:35
absolutely outstanding results, which
2:37
given the kind of diving I do and the
2:39
particular challenges it poses for uh
2:43
video cameras, I think that's really
2:45
really good news. And as I think I've
2:48
probably said a few times, the Insta Ace
2:50
Pro 2 is now my uh action camera of
2:52
choice. Whenever I'm doing an important
2:54
video, I want to get the best quality
2:56
footage. So yeah, obviously I'm really
2:58
pleased about that. And I'm also really
3:01
pleased that Insta 360 have given me one
3:04
that I can give away to one lucky person
3:07
who's watching this video. To do it,
3:09
you've got to go to the link that is in
3:11
the description or up the top somewhere,
3:14
and you'll end up on the page that
3:15
you're seeing in front of you here. You
3:17
can see there's all sorts of ways that
3:18
you can enter. You know, you get
3:20
different number of entries depending on
3:22
which one of these uh you use. And
3:24
obviously, at some point in this video,
3:27
I'm going to give you the secret code.
3:28
Sorry, I'm keeping you. I'm teasing you.
3:30
I know I am. But you kind of keep on
3:32
hanging in there. The secret code that
3:33
will give you another uh five entries,
3:35
another five chances to win it. So, go
3:38
to the description, hit the link, get
3:41
yourself entered, and good luck. While
3:43
you're doing that, I just like you to
3:45
focus on this piece of video, which
3:47
shows an unbelievably demanding
3:49
situation for any action camera. There
3:52
is basically no ambient light. It is
3:54
pitch black apart from all we've got is
3:57
the array of super powerful diving
4:01
strobes down there that are flashing
4:02
away. Now, as you can see, the camera is
4:04
co coping really well with it. There is
4:07
a few small artifacts, but frankly, not
4:11
very much at all, and the area of the
4:13
image that is lost to the flashing
4:14
lights is really small. So, I think it's
4:17
a it's a really good example of how good
4:20
the Insta 360 Ace Pro 2 can be in these
4:24
super demanding conditions. So, what I'd
4:26
like to do is just talk about what it
4:28
was that I did to achieve the effect.
4:30
And I think you'll be surprised actually
4:32
how little it was. And to achieve this
4:35
effect, what I do is really
4:37
straightforward. What I found works well
4:39
is simply putting everything on auto
4:42
apart from you need to turn the eyelog
4:45
feature on. Then once you've done that,
4:48
it's a case of importing it into Insta
4:50
360 Studio. You can see here, this is
4:52
the same bit of video. There's there's
4:54
my settings and stuff on the right hand
4:55
side. But what I'm going to do now is
4:58
apply the UT. And for me, that's almost
5:01
like magic. It instantly brings all the
5:03
color back. Of course, the Aqua Vision,
5:06
the AI enabled feature is also really
5:09
nice, and you can apply as much or as
5:12
little of of that as you think is
5:14
appropriate. Once again, does wonderful
5:16
things uh to the video. There's once
5:19
again, clarity plus, you can kind of
5:22
bring in as much of that as you think is
5:24
is appropriate. And there's all the kind
5:26
of bog standard adjustments you can see
5:28
here, I'm playing around with the
5:29
exposure just to get to a point that I'm
5:31
happy with. And then of course you can
5:33
see. So that's really straightforward.
5:35
Once you're happy, you just export it
5:37
and then do whatever you want with it.
5:39
So really straightforward, really nice.
5:42
And I think that makes getting videos
5:44
really easy. When I'm shallower or if
5:46
there's a lot more light, I don't bother
5:48
with this. I use the pure video mode,
5:50
which is really, really effective in
5:52
those circumstances. The only reason I
5:54
don't use it at depth is because if you
5:57
do, sometimes the automatic color
5:59
correction produces red light from
6:02
torches, which I don't think looks very
6:04
good. But once you shallow, as you can
6:06
see here, you can see I've turned on
6:08
pure video mode. This is a uh piece of
6:11
video, and you can see it actually looks
6:13
uh looks great already. Haven't done
6:15
anything to it yet. But what I'm going
6:17
to do is go up into the kind of color uh
6:20
menu there. And you can see I'm going to
6:22
turn on the Aqua Vision. And once again,
6:25
you can mess around with that and it
6:27
produces really uh nice results. You can
6:29
see how lovely that is. So for for the
6:32
vast majority of dives, um this Pure
6:36
Video Aqua Vision is going to produce
6:39
absolutely stunning results. And many of
6:41
the videos you'll have seen online with
6:42
people in the tropics or yeah, you know,
6:46
shallow with lots of pretty fish, that's
6:48
how they're done. It's just I've got a
6:50
particularly unusual use case, which is
6:53
why I use the LUT thing. But the
6:56
combination of those two modes works
6:58
really well for me. Produces fantastic
7:00
results and I'm really happy with the
7:02
outcome. Now, the other thing that I'm
7:05
really keen on with the Insta 360 is
7:08
actually the dive case. It's rated to 60
7:13
mters and I have had it to 89.
7:19
And for those of you who are looking out
7:21
for the secret code, the secret code is
7:24
89 deep. All one word. Number eight.
7:28
Number nine, D E P. So 89 deep. That's
7:34
the secret code. Go and stick it into
7:36
the competition. Good luck. I hope
7:38
you'll come back and watch the rest of
7:39
the video. And of course, if you're in
7:41
the market for a new action camera and
7:44
you're not successful during the
7:45
competition, then I can strongly
7:48
recommend the Insta 360 Ace Pro 2 as a
7:53
camera that will do everything from the
7:56
really deep stuff you've seen in my
7:57
video, the really low light, the really
7:59
challenging conditions, all the way up
8:01
to beautiful fishes, tropical waters,
8:04
the whole lot. It is really a action
8:07
camera that does everything. So, will
8:09
meet everybody's diving needs
8:12
and that includes mine. So, to tell you
8:15
the ways in which I've used it, I have
8:17
had it on a tray with some video lights.
8:20
I've had it helmet mounted. I've mounted
8:23
it on a selfie stick, which is pretty
8:25
much all the use cases that you could
8:27
possibly want. And it's performed
8:29
brilliantly in all of those. So, the
8:32
only thing I have a current issue with
8:35
is I need to figure out how I'm going to
8:37
take it out on the really deep dives.
8:39
So, I've done the 90 m with the uh case
8:43
and I'm kind of wondering how far it can
8:46
go. I just it's just one of those things
8:48
I just don't want to to risk it. I have
8:51
bought one of the aluminium AliExpress
8:54
ones and I've taken that without a
8:56
camera in to 100 m and I guess therefore
9:00
the next step is to put a camera in it
9:02
and to see how it gets on. I I think I'm
9:05
going to have to risk it but maybe not
9:07
until I've been up to Scapper Flow and
9:09
got back from there. So, you're going to
9:11
have to watch this space on how the
9:13
housing performs, the aluminium
9:15
AliExpress housing performs until uh
9:17
I've had the opportunity to test it. But
9:20
to bring things to a conclusion, I hope
9:22
that my uh information about how I use
9:25
the Ace Pro 2 is useful for you. I hope
9:27
you'll agree it produces absolutely
9:30
fabulous results. And of course, the
9:33
giveaway is out there. So, I very much
9:35
hope you will give that a go and I wish
9:38
you all the best of luck. If you're not
9:40
successful, there's a link down below
9:42
and you can buy one if uh if that's what
9:44
you feel you need. The other thing you
9:46
might like to do is to go and check out
9:48
my other uh video about the Insta 360
9:51
Ace Pro 2 and particularly I talk in
9:54
that about the uh the Red issue and the
9:58
fact that it affects all modern digital
10:00
action cameras and explains I think why
10:04
I I use the the methods I do to try and
10:07
uh remove that red which I just don't
10:09
like. But so there's plenty of that on
10:11
the other video and I hope you go and
10:14
watch it.
10:16
If not, I hope you watch one of my other
10:18
videos and of course there is plenty to
10:20
choose from and of course there is a
10:22
load more to come. So thank you everyone
10:25
again and I'll hope to see you on
10:27
another video soon.
