I feel like so much has changed since I
0:02
took a break from YouTube and from
0:04
social media. For one, we are up north
0:08
in our Michigan home and we'll be here
0:11
for a while, at least through the entire
0:16
summer and maybe the beginning of fall.
0:19
However, my daughter also just had a
0:22
birthday. she turned 2 years old in
0:25
which she is now completely weaned off
0:29
of breast milk. So that has been a
0:31
transition for her. Um we've been slowly
0:35
transitioning out of co-s sleeping but
0:38
very slowly not aggressively
0:41
and my husband and I had our 10year
0:45
anniversary.
0:47
There has just been lots of little
0:51
subtle but very
0:53
important um changes over the past few
0:57
weeks. And so maybe the Lord was calling
1:00
me to slow down at just the perfect time
1:04
because we just honestly had a lot going
1:07
on and I never want to overwhelm myself
1:10
or my family and I really need to make
1:13
sure that I can tell and know where they
1:16
need me when they need me and allow God
1:18
to use me in that way as a mother, a
1:23
wife and you know all the things we had
1:26
been in Florida for
1:30
quite some time for about nine months
1:35
and it was wonderful. However, it also
1:39
feels really great to be back here up
1:42
north too. The weather has been so
1:47
beautiful, so peaceful. Just being able
1:50
to come out and sit on the patio, do
1:52
some gardening, plant some flowers. We
1:55
don't have a ton of things in the garden
1:56
because we got a very late start. So, we
1:58
didn't do any spring gardening. We only
2:01
have been able to put a couple of summer
2:03
crops in, mostly whatever is my son's
2:06
favorite. And we added a couple of
2:09
annuals and maybe a few more perennials
2:11
here and there. We added a blueberry
2:13
bush next to the little baby apple
2:16
trees. These apple trees did not do as
2:19
great this spring as they did last
2:21
spring because we weren't home to
2:23
fertilize it or to water it on the very
2:25
hot days. So, we've done what we can
2:29
since being here for the past 2 weeks.
2:32
Um, and things are starting to spruce up
2:34
a little bit around here. So, maybe I'll
2:37
give you guys a little bit of a look.
2:38
Very particular about all my babies, my
2:41
plants, my flowers, and things like
2:43
that. And when they're looking a little
2:44
bit stressed out, I'm feeling a little
2:46
bit stressed out with them. Put the kids
2:48
up a new sandbox for Na'vi's birthday.
2:51
And we are going to probably paint their
2:55
little swing set until they get bigger.
2:59
I know my husband has been talking about
3:00
maybe getting them a new swing set, but
3:03
I feel like Na'vi definitely still has
3:06
some time on this swing. Like, she's
3:07
still in like the little baby toddler
3:10
like chair swing that you like strap
3:12
them in. And then my son, he still
3:14
definitely has some swings left as well.
3:16
I don't necessarily feel a need to have
3:18
to upgrade them right now. I feel like
3:20
we can put that off for maybe another
3:24
2 years, I would say. I don't know.
3:27
We'll see. But I'll give you guys a
3:30
little look at a little summer flowers,
3:32
annuals, perennials, garden, and things
3:34
like that, and see what that looks like.
3:35
But today is going to be a pretty chill
3:38
day. Um, we have a few homeschool things
3:41
that we are going to get into. So, I'm
3:44
going to be doing like a science lesson
3:46
from the Little Hearts and Hands
3:47
curriculum from The Good and the
3:49
Beautiful. We're going to do some Bible
3:50
studies, some handwriting, some spelling
3:53
practice, just like summer homeschool
3:55
stuff. So, we're finished, which I'll
3:57
have to do an update for you guys, but
4:00
we are completely finished with our Get
4:02
in the Beautiful home school curriculum
4:04
for level two. So, we finished up
4:06
language arts, we finished up math, full
4:09
curriculum. We finished that up a while
4:12
ago, a little over a month ago, maybe.
4:14
So, we're just doing like summer
4:16
homechools, things which is just like
4:17
little extras and supplementals, things
4:19
that I feel like he could use a little
4:20
bit more practice on going into third
4:22
grade. Things that we just tried to do
4:24
every single day, even outside of home
4:26
school. So, like our Bible studies and
4:28
things like that, reading, things like
4:30
that. Um, so that's what we're doing in
4:32
terms of home school. I'm going to do a
4:34
full getting in the beautiful level two
4:36
curriculum review for you guys very soon
4:39
and get that out because I do one every
4:41
single year and I want to stay on top of
4:43
that. Also, Florida homeschool is
4:45
completely different from Michigan
4:46
homeschool. So, I want to talk a little
4:48
bit about that as well in terms of how
4:49
we have to submit a letter of intent to
4:52
homeschool and we have to do annual
4:54
either portfolio reviews or annual
4:57
assessments like tests that he have to
4:59
take either in person or online. So,
5:03
that's going to be new for us as well. A
5:05
different transition if we're going to
5:06
be doing homeschool down south basically
5:09
like fall and winter, which is our
5:11
typical home school season where we'll
5:13
be here throughout like summer when we
5:17
are like kind of taking a break from
5:19
homechool or doing things a little bit
5:21
more leisurely. So, that's going to be a
5:23
different transition
5:25
there. However, I do love a lot of the
5:30
benefits that comes with Florida
5:32
homeschooling. They have different
5:34
resources and grants and scholarships
5:36
for the homesooled children. And I see
5:38
nothing wrong with taking like
5:40
assessments or exams, portfolio reviews,
5:42
and things like that. I know a lot of
5:44
parents don't like that. Like a lot of
5:46
homesooled parents don't like that, but
5:48
I don't really have an issue with it.
5:50
I'm going to sit here and read my
5:53
devotions because that's something that
5:56
I have really really loved grown to love
5:58
to do every single day since being back
6:00
every single day except for a couple of
6:02
the days we had like this really bad um
6:06
I don't know if you guys heard about
6:07
like the wildfires
6:09
and that affected Canada. Um, my God, we
6:13
were praying for the because it was so
6:16
so bad and still praying for them, all
6:18
the families and homes and communities
6:20
that was affected by those wildfires.
6:22
But Michigan is very very close like
6:24
right there neighbors with Canada. You
6:27
can just take a bridge over.
6:29
So, we were affected as well. I think
6:31
Ohio was affected just like a lot of the
6:34
smoke and just the pollutants in the
6:37
air. So, we weren't outside for a few
6:40
days, specifically mostly definitely the
6:43
children. I think after about 2 days,
6:46
like my husband and I was able to like
6:48
come out just for a few minutes here and
6:49
there to water the plants, take a look
6:52
around, get, you know, a little bit of
6:54
sunshine, but I it was not like fresh
6:57
air, you know, and it was a little bit
7:00
smoky and hazy, so we kept the kids
7:02
inside. Outside of that, we've been
7:04
outside every single day. This is where
7:07
I come and do my morning devotions. I've
7:10
had prayer out here a few days.
7:11
Sometimes I pray in my daughter's room
7:14
in the morning. Just, you know,
7:18
little areas where I like to have my
7:20
morning time. So, here on the patio
7:24
under this little gazebo next to my
7:26
flowers with my cup of coffee. That's
7:28
been my thing lately. I've been truly
7:30
loving that. I'm getting back into
7:32
working out and fitness and things like
7:34
that. It's always like a transition. In
7:37
some ways, it it feels like starting
7:40
over and readjusting, but in other ways
7:43
it feels like just settling back in. So,
7:45
I feel like considering we've only been
7:47
doing the snowbird thing for first year,
7:50
things we're still trying to get used
7:52
to. However, going forward, I think
7:53
we'll eventually get our footing and
7:55
everything. So, let's get some devotions
7:57
done, go inside, clean up because it's
8:00
looking a complete mess in there. And
8:03
that's the thing about Michigan summers.
8:05
I would much rather be outside even
8:08
doing yard work and gardening than doing
8:10
like housework on the inside. And I will
8:12
ignore that and procrastinate and put it
8:15
off
8:16
until it looks a mess, but with good
8:19
reason. So yeah, we're going to go clean
8:22
up, try to spruce up [music] the house.
8:25
We're going to make pancakes because
8:27
it's going to go with our science lesson
8:29
for today. We're going to be talking
8:30
about how to make like maple from like
8:33
the sap in the trees and things like
8:35
that and um how they make maple syrup
8:38
for instance. So, we're going to make
8:40
like pancakes or waffles or something to
8:42
pair with the lesson and everything. Um
8:44
have like a little movie that goes along
8:46
with it for the kids to watch. Mostly my
8:49
son. My daughter, she's two. She's not
8:51
really caring about that. She doesn't
8:52
even like pancakes. Actually, I'm going
8:54
to bring the kids out to play because my
8:56
son has definitely been needing to get
8:58
some energy out yesterday when we were
9:00
going to come out. It started raining
9:02
the tub. We were going to come out and
9:04
roast marshmallows and the rain just
9:06
poured. So, he needs to get out and get
9:08
some energy out today. He's also, my son
9:11
is seven. He's been like in this stage
9:13
and age of really
9:15
wanting
9:17
more of our attention.
9:19
And the thing is that when we ignore
9:21
those little things, you might start to
9:23
see behavior
9:25
issues and he hasn't really been having
9:27
any like
9:29
behavior issues that stand out to me.
9:31
However, I want to really try and be
9:35
more intentional about the attention
9:36
that we give to him. Like I've noticed
9:38
him asking, can we play with him a lot
9:40
more lately, like all day? And I don't
9:43
know if it's that he just doesn't have a
9:46
ton of friends to play with near here
9:49
nearby, but we have had at least three
9:54
play outings or playdates since we've
9:57
been back for the past two weeks. And so
10:00
we're trying our best here. Plays with
10:02
his sister obviously, but yeah, he's
10:04
just I don't know. like we we spend some
10:07
time with him, we play with him, he
10:08
plays with his friends, but I don't
10:10
know, he's still asking constantly, can
10:13
you play with me? So, I really want to
10:16
try and nail in on that, give him some
10:19
more attention and figure out more about
10:24
that. Um, I try not to ignore little
10:26
things like, yeah, it could just be a
10:27
face. Yeah, it could just be nothing,
10:29
but it could be something. So, I don't
10:31
want to ignore that. So, that's
10:33
something we're going to get. So, and it
10:34
could also be that we haven't been doing
10:36
homechool every single day and he's used
10:38
to getting that individual attention
10:41
every single day where I get to sit down
10:44
with him, go through his lessons with
10:45
him, homeschool where my focus is solely
10:48
on him versus now
10:51
I've been trying to gather and get
10:54
things together since being back. So,
10:56
but I wanted to give some life updates
11:00
and some summer homemaking updates. And
11:03
now, let's actually do some summer
11:07
homemaking. So, we planted a few
11:09
annuals. I don't even remember the name
11:11
of these guys, but we planted some of
11:13
those just like around the patio here.
11:18
We normally have a ton of roses come up
11:20
every spring, and that just didn't
11:23
happen this year. However, I fertilized
11:26
and they're trying. You can always tell
11:28
when they're trying to come back when
11:30
you see those little burgundy colored
11:33
leaves starting to come in. So, some of
11:36
the leaves were just very much unhappy.
11:39
I have mint back there that was kind of
11:40
taking over over here, but some of those
11:43
little burgundy leaves are starting to
11:44
come in since fertilizing.
11:47
And hopefully they do okay. Back here,
11:50
we had a sprinkler that had froze and
11:53
broken, so we had to dig up where that
11:56
was located. Pull up the grass. So, you
11:59
might see the blue seeds that we had to
12:01
put down in this gigantic patch back
12:04
there. There's another patch because we
12:05
moved the kids swing set to under the
12:07
tree because it's a lot of sun that we
12:10
get over here and um they were sweating
12:13
on their little swing set. So, we put
12:14
them to the shade, built a new sandbox,
12:17
and we have a patch from where their old
12:19
sandbox was located. We actually had a
12:21
tree here. That tree cut down. More
12:24
grass seed and leveling needs to be done
12:26
here. You guys can see one of the broken
12:29
broken sprinklers that we had to patch
12:31
up. Um, we're going to just try to
12:33
replace that part instead of just
12:35
patching it. Um, so hole over there.
12:39
Some roses over here that's trying to
12:40
come back. Here's another one that was
12:42
very sad. They got some sad black ice
12:45
susans back there. I think that the
12:47
drought that we got from the rain really
12:50
stressed them out back there. Little
12:53
areas where I really wanted to plant
12:55
like little fruit trees and bushes like
12:57
maybe some elderberry
12:59
is what I still want to add back here.
13:01
But it's looking quite terrible. You
13:03
guys, we have so much work to do. This
13:05
is the work we typically do fall and
13:07
spring, but we were literally not here
13:09
fall or spring and things are just
13:14
we got so much work to do. However,
13:17
there is the baby apple tree that we
13:20
planted about a year ago.
13:23
It's a red delicious and we planted it.
13:26
It was like a little bit lower, like a
13:28
teeny baby. It's growing up, but it's
13:30
not wonderful. And then we've got
13:32
another little baby one there.
13:35
Um, and then we just put this little
13:38
baby blueberry bush in the ground. We
13:42
got like a lavender.
13:44
So, we're going to try to get this area
13:46
together. I would love to have like a
13:48
few like wild flowers and perennials for
13:50
the butterflies and bees because that's
13:53
going to help with the apple trees, the
13:54
fruit bushes and things like that. So,
13:56
right now, this whole area is looking
13:58
awful. However,
14:01
I would love to
14:04
kind of block it off more, clean it up,
14:07
and make it into something nice. We
14:09
don't plan to sell this house anytime
14:13
soon. So, we have a ton of time, but we
14:15
also have a ton a ton of work, guys. And
14:18
here's our little garden planters, which
14:21
looks terrible. We leave a gap back
14:23
there, which I normally plant things to
14:24
eat to your animals. We get a lot of
14:26
little bunnies in the spring. We get
14:28
little chipmunks. So, we plant like
14:30
chibives back there sometimes, a little
14:32
bit of garlic and mint. However,
14:35
I have some mint in that planter because
14:37
we we've been trying to keep it off of
14:40
the patio. But here is where we have
14:45
more mint. So, maybe we'll add a couple
14:46
more herbs here. But, we've got a couple
14:50
of peppers there.
14:53
Um, let's see. I've got a little
14:57
some green peppers. Again, we planted
14:59
these maybe not even a whole week ago.
15:02
We're trying to get some things in the
15:03
garden, but we planted these about a
15:05
week ago. So, we got a couple of bell
15:08
peppers trying to come in. A couple
15:10
here. These are mini peppers. So,
15:14
they're called like Gypsy mini bell
15:16
peppers. You get like all the different
15:18
colors like green, red, yellow mini
15:21
peppers. like the ones you can get like
15:22
in a little bag and you can use those
15:24
for, you know, spices to flavor some
15:26
dishes. So, a couple peppers is what
15:28
we're going to fill this one with. We
15:29
just got a couple for now. Couple of
15:30
tomatoes trying to grow in right there.
15:33
And I'm not sure if I'm going to keep
15:36
these ones here. I think I'm going to
15:37
put some cool weather crops over here.
15:41
I'm thinking about putting lettuce over
15:44
here because you guys can see the
15:46
difference in how much sun we get over
15:48
there versus what we get over here. It's
15:50
just tons of shade. We have so many
15:53
trees. My foot is falling inside one of
15:54
the holes the chipmunks have built. We
15:56
got so much work to do. So, I think I'm
15:58
going to put dig these up like today.
16:01
Like, I might stop now and move these
16:04
over. I have a little bit of space.
16:07
These tomato plants get so big. That's
16:09
why I wanted them here, but I'm going to
16:11
move them somehow some way.
16:24
This is a good a day as they need
16:29
to [music] start the rebuilding of life.
16:34
The roads that [music] lay open are many
16:39
when the old [singing] ones gone under
16:42
the knife.
16:44
And I can [music and singing] feel
16:46
the sun
16:48
on my skin.
16:54
Begin
16:56
to thought [music] from within.
17:02
[singing]
17:04
[music]
17:07
Today,
17:09
[singing] not tomorrow.
17:12
There's [music] no
17:14
time to borrow.
17:16
[singing and music]
17:17
Today
17:19
is a good day to live.
17:27
This morning have [music] a clear light
17:29
[singing] as I need
17:32
to see the horizon and the far. [music]
17:37
Excuses were too for a penny.
17:42
But they've [music] all gone out
17:43
[singing] the window of this car. And
17:47
when I feel [music] the wind
17:51
on my face.
17:58
All [singing and music] that ever was
18:02
is a right [music]
18:09
[music]
18:10
today [singing]
18:12
and not tomorrow.
18:15
There's no [music]
18:17
time for [singing]
18:20
today.
18:23
Well, something's got to give. [music]
18:25
Today
18:28
is a good day [music and singing] to
18:30
today
18:32
and not tomorrow. [singing]
18:35
There's no
18:38
time to borrow
18:40
today.
18:43
Well, something's got to
18:44
[music and singing] give today.
18:48
It's a good day to live.
19:10
Next plan is for back here. this row you
19:14
guys see of just wheats and I think
19:18
maybe some chives or something. I'm
19:20
going to put a whole row of different
19:23
colored mammoth sunflowers [music]
19:25
maybe. I think that would look really
19:29
great and help with pollination and
19:31
[music] things like that. So, we'll put
19:32
some beautiful sunflowers back here.
19:44
>> Well, something's [music] got to give

19:48
Is a good day. Today,
19:53

19:56
There's no

20:04
Well, something's got to give. Today
20:09
is a good [music] day. Today
20:14

20:19
is a good day to live. [music]

24:40
It's very much later in the day. [music]
24:43
We made pancakes and we did like a maple
24:47
syrup unit study about how the sap comes
24:50
from the trees and everything and how
24:51
they use it to make syrup. Noah watched
24:54
an educational video about that while he
24:57
ate pancakes and we talked about like
24:59
the syrup that we use in pancakes and
25:01
how it's made and everything. So that's
25:02
what we did. He did a little bit of
25:04
spectrum spelling. We have like the
25:05
spectrum spelling book. He did a couple
25:07
of pages maybe like five pages from
25:10
that. And then we also did his
25:12
handwriting practice. He did about two
25:14
pages like sentence practice. Drew some
25:17
pictures. We didn't get to do our
25:18
scripture handwriting. We just did like
25:20
regular sentence practice. Normally I'll
25:22
have him either do that or he'll
25:23
copyright a scripture like read the
25:26
scripture and then rewrite it. Put his
25:27
name at the top. We didn't do that
25:29
today. We just did the good and the
25:30
beautiful handwriting today. So we got
25:32
that done. Dad didn't really take up a
25:35
ton of our time. He's gotten pretty
25:36
quick with that type of stuff because
25:38
it's all just like practice work or
25:42
extra supplemental work. I am thinking
25:44
about
25:46
printing like the very first unit of the
25:48
good and the beautiful level three
25:50
curriculum off. I'm not 100% sure
25:52
because I like everything to be nice and
25:53
neat inside of the books. However, I
25:56
don't know if I'm ready to fully dive
25:58
back into curriculum every single day
25:59
yet because we've been really enjoying
26:02
our summer and spending time with
26:03
friends and families and getting things
26:04
done around the house and outside in the
26:06
garden, which by the way, I did move the
26:08
tomato plants that were like in the
26:11
shaded area of like the planters. And I
26:14
moved it to the garden box that gets
26:16
more sun. So, one of them is like next
26:19
to some mint. I couldn't really
26:22
um like talk during the process. It got
26:25
so loud outside. Today we only have like
26:30
73
26:32
I think is the temp today. 73°. So it's
26:36
like the perfect temperature to do work
26:37
outside. So everybody was in the garden
26:40
outside in their yard. So you hear like
26:42
a loud lawnmowers them cutting their
26:44
grass. You hear dogs barking, sprinklers
26:47
going, everything. And it wasn't the
26:50
most peaceful
26:52
day outdoors. It was extremely loud, so
26:54
I couldn't get a ton of filming done.
26:56
Things are starting to quiet down
26:58
because now it's like 5:00 in the
27:00
afternoon. So, yeah, they're normally
27:03
out like in the morning and very early
27:05
afternoon and everything around here.
27:08
But yeah, it's much later in the day. My
27:09
husband is asking for tacos tonight,
27:12
which I don't have anything for tacos.
27:13
However, he and the kids are out right
27:15
now. I have no idea where they went. I
27:17
think my guess is that they're at the
27:19
frozen yogurt restaurant, like a little
27:22
frozen yogurt shop, because they have
27:25
like a little Mexican restaurant inside,
27:28
and he probably walked past, saw the
27:30
tacos, and now he wants to have tacos.
27:33
So, I guess that's what we're going to
27:35
be eating today. I'm not really a huge
27:37
fan of it. However, sometimes we have
27:39
what I want, sometimes we have what kids
27:41
want, sometimes we have what hubby
27:42
wants. It's just the rotation. Besides,
27:45
it's very simple and easy to make. Like
27:47
I said, we got some cilantro in the
27:49
garden. So, it'd be really cool to toss
27:51
some of that on top for garnish. Maybe
27:53
that's what I'll do. Go and pick a
27:54
little bit of the cilantro. Really nice
27:56
if we could go and grab some tomatoes,
27:57
but we just got those in there not even
27:59
a week ago. No tomatoes, no nothing.
28:02
It's a harvest in the garden. I hate
28:04
this. I wish we had sal like lettuce and
28:07
everything to just go pick and put on
28:09
the tacos. That is the fun part. So
28:12
maybe next year we will be back earlier
28:15
the year. However, we had so much fun of
28:19
July. We took like a little family mini
28:21
vacay before we came back to Michigan.
28:23
So our very last weekend in Florida
28:26
before coming here for the summer, we
28:29
went out um for like a Fourth of July
28:32
family vacay where we kind of just shut
28:35
everything down. No social media. Didn't
28:37
really do too much on the phone or
28:39
electronics. just spent time really
28:42
enjoying our babies. We stayed at
28:43
Sapphire Falls Resort which is connected
28:45
to Universal Studios Orlando and we
28:48
spent like a day poolside. They have
28:51
like these cool cabanas which we did not
28:53
rent the cabana. However, they have
28:55
plenty of seating with little sand
28:58
beaches. So, the kids were playing in
28:59
the sand. We ate nachos. We had a couple
29:02
of margaritas, me and my husband. The
29:04
kids had tons of water and Gatorade
29:06
because it was so hot this day. tons of
29:09
sun hats, sunscreens, waters, and
29:11
everything. And then we went took the
29:14
kids to the pool to swim a little bit.
29:15
We did the arcade. And then the next
29:17
day, we just slept in, had some coffee
29:19
and lunch in the room. And then we went
29:21
to Universal Studios. You could just
29:23
catch their boat transportation. Like
29:25
it's a little boat and you'll be there
29:26
in less than 5 minutes. Um, it drops you
29:29
right off in like CityWalk, which is
29:31
connected to both Universal Hollywood
29:33
Studios and Islands of Adventures. And
29:35
then they had like a little like area
29:37
with like DJ and dancers and different
29:41
cool things going on for Independence
29:43
Day. We did that a little bit, hung out
29:46
there to do some fireworks later on in
29:48
the day. It was really cool. And then
29:51
after that, um, we went back and I think
29:54
we stayed an additional night. However,
29:57
the day after that, we needed to prep so
30:00
that we can prepare to come back to
30:02
Michigan. So, we had a lot of fun. That
30:04
was our weekend right before coming
30:07
home. So, I feel like I want to do that
30:08
again next year. But [snorts] then
30:10
again, I really
30:13
would like to get back home in the
30:15
spring to be able to get my garden
30:18
together. So, yeah, that's that is the
30:20
dilemma. We're going to see, I guess,
30:21
how we're feeling. At that time, it's
30:24
always like easy to find things to do
30:26
around the holiday seasons in Florida.
30:28
Always something to do. However, here we
30:31
have to do a little bit more to plan for
30:33
it. We thought about spending Christmas
30:36
here and the new year in Florida. It's
30:39
just so much
30:41
um you know, planning and travel that
30:43
goes into that. And now that Spirit
30:46
Airlines is closed, it's also much more
30:49
money. Of course, it's cheaper if you're
30:50
you're driving. However, we chose to put
30:53
one of our vehicles in storage, like a
30:56
vehicle storage lot in Florida, and then
30:58
we had the other vehicles shipped here
31:01
with Nexus Transport. So, we had to fly
31:04
in and Delta is not cheap and Spirit is
31:08
no longer available. And um Baby Girl is
31:12
now two. So, flying back, we need four
31:17
seats, four tickets. My nose are awful.
31:20
Oh my gosh, I'm not even showing you
31:22
guys no more. So, yeah, it's just a lot
31:24
that goes into all of that and all the
31:25
planning. So, let me show you guys
31:27
really quick some of the workbooks that
31:28
we use for homeschool. And then I think
31:31
I'm probably going to close out because
31:33
I want to go downstairs and try and work
31:35
out before dinner time. And I want to
31:38
see if I can get the kids out to roast
31:40
some marshmallows because like I said,
31:41
it's 73°
31:43
so it's not super hot. We can, you know,
31:47
light the fire pit, roast the
31:49
marshmallows. takes a couple minutes, a
31:51
little something fun for them to do. So,
31:53
this is the little handwriting that we
31:55
never we didn't complete yet. It to me
31:58
was just like a little bit too easy in
32:01
my opinion. I feel like Horizon's
32:03
handwriting is much more challenging and
32:08
I would probably prefer that than this.
32:10
However, for busy work and supplemental
32:13
work, even this is grade one. So, just
32:17
practice work. This is the spectrum
32:21
spelling practice spelling different
32:24
colors and everything, different words.
32:27
This is the Bible coloring and activity
32:29
book. This is the scripture workbook I
32:31
was telling you guys about from Daily
32:33
Grace Company. Read the scripture and
32:36
then you copyright it over here. Another
32:39
Bible activity books. This is the We've
32:42
been going through this for quite some
32:44
time now. They're really cute little
32:46
science things. So, we did this one
32:49
today. This goes to third grade. And
32:52
he's going to third grade. This is tree
32:54
sap and syrup. So, this is the lesson we
32:58
were working on today. And this is in
33:00
the good and the beautiful little hearts
33:02
and hands um field and flowers science
33:05
curriculum. Yeah, just more like they're
33:07
still working on this Easter Bible
33:10
activity book. So, just busy work. This
33:13
is what I mean by by busy work and just
33:16
things to keep him occupied so that he's
33:19
not just [music]
33:20
video games, television, and keep his
33:23
mind stimulated.
33:25
The kids really enjoyed the short time
33:28
that we spent outside making s'mores. We
33:31
stayed out for about maybe 30 minutes or
33:35
so, I want to say. And it is just such
33:38
[music] an easy way to just enjoy some
33:40
time together, especially on a cool
33:43
weather day like we had today. We went
33:45
out just before dinner. Then I got the
33:47
kids [music] inside, got them cleaned up
33:49
and bathed. We ate tacos for dinner and
33:52
pretty much called it a day. So, [music]
33:55
in this video, you guys can see why I
33:58
enjoy summer home making so much. And I
34:00
hope [music] that you guys enjoy doing
34:02
some summer homemaking with me, too. But
34:04
that is going to be all for today's
34:06
video. If you enjoyed it, do not forget
34:09
to give this video a thumbs up. It
34:10
really helps me to know what type of
34:12
content you guys [music] like. And if
34:14
you are new here, of course, I would
34:16
love for you to subscribe and join the
34:18
family as well. Thank you guys so much
34:21
for watching and I will see you guys in
34:23
the next video. Oh, happy homemaking.
34:46
[music]
35:12
Yeah.
