3:09
>> Hello and welcome to a slow and
3:12
productive day in the life. If you're
3:13
new here, my name is Heaven and on this
3:16
channel I helped overwhelmed moms slow
3:18
down and simplify their lives so that
3:20
they can truly embrace and enjoy the
3:23
journey of motherhood and homemaking.
3:26
Today I'm going to be sharing a very
3:28
intentional day with you guys. Today is
3:30
Monday when I'm filming this video, and
3:33
I always like to start my mornings the
3:36
same exact way, waking up earlier than
3:38
the children so that I have time to
3:41
start my mornings with God and spending
3:43
some time investing in taking care of
3:46
myself. That looks like having some tea,
3:48
drinking some water, taking my vitamins,
3:51
as well as praying and reading my
3:53
devotions. I kind of took you guys along
3:56
through the beginning of my morning. And
3:58
now I'm getting ready to say my prayers,
4:00
my devotions, drink my tea. That
4:03
normally at the very least is about 30
4:05
minutes of my morning, but it really
4:07
does set the rest of my day up for
4:10
success. The children are still asleep,
4:12
but my husband is awake. I'm going to
4:15
spend some time doing this, and then
4:17
once that's done, I am going to switch
4:20
into gym clothes. I'm going to go and
4:23
get in a full body workout that normally
4:26
takes about an hour to 90 minutes and
4:30
then I'll be able to come back and
4:32
really start the day as far as my
4:34
motherhood and homemaking tasks go. So,
4:37
I'll be feeding the kids, getting them
4:39
dressed, doing school with them, doing
4:41
any type of homemaking tasks that I
4:43
notice around the house. I already put a
4:45
load of laundry in the wash. I like to
4:46
do at least one load of laundry per day.
4:49
I have groceries coming today, so it's
4:51
going to be a little bit of a more
4:54
busier day, but still very intentional
4:57
and I'm not going to rush through
4:59
anything. I will share with you guys
5:01
what I got from the I did a Costco and
5:03
Amazon Fresh order last night, so it's
5:07
actually going to be delivered, so that
5:09
frees up some time in my schedule as
5:10
well, not having to go out to the store.
5:13
I love that with Amazon Fresh, they have
5:16
all of your groceries sealed inside of
5:18
the bags. And then with Costco, we
5:21
normally have a great experience with
5:22
their grocery delivery as well. So, I'll
5:24
show you guys what we got from there.
5:26
And then after that, I normally will put
5:30
my daughter down for her nap after like
5:32
the bulk of our day, which is like
5:34
homeschooling and breakfast, lunchtime,
5:37
things like that. Once my daughter is
5:39
down for her nap, I try to spend a
5:41
little bit of time getting some work
5:43
done. So, um, depending on the day of
5:46
the week, if I haven't done like a
5:48
morning workout, then I'll do an evening
5:51
workout during her nap time. But on the
5:53
days that I don't have to do any evening
5:55
workouts, then instead I will use that
5:57
time to get some work done. Whether that
6:00
be working on my blog, editing some
6:02
content and videos, or sharing some
6:04
marketing information for my business.
6:06
pretty much going to take you guys along
6:08
to see what that entire day looks like
6:10
today and share with you all how you can
6:12
have a productive day in the life as a
6:16
stay-at-home mom or homemaker. So, that
6:19
you guys are ready for some gentle
6:21
motivation and encouragement. If you
6:22
are, go ahead and give this video a
6:24
thumbs up. And if you're new here, don't
6:26
forget to subscribe as well. Part of the
6:28
grocery order has arrived. We have some
6:30
from Amazon Fresh. And then all of the
6:32
Costco has arrived, which from Costco, I
6:35
mostly just stocked up on like freezer
6:38
meat that we can put in the freezer, as
6:41
well as some snacks for the kids. I got
6:44
some broccoli as well as a couple of
6:47
desserts for us to have as well. So,
6:49
I'll show you guys what we got from
6:50
Costco and some of the things that did
6:53
arrive from Amazon. And I think I'm
6:55
still waiting for a large um order from
7:00
Amazon Fresh to arrive. So things are
7:02
going to be coming, I guess, like
7:04
separately here and there. Um but that
7:07
kind of makes it a little bit easier for
7:09
me to store things away because I don't
7:12
have like a huge grocery haul to pack
7:15
away. I can put things away, I guess,
7:17
like as they come. So I'll show you as I
7:20
am doing that. So, I got three packages
7:23
of grass-fed beef and then I also got
7:27
four packages of fresh ground turkey. My
7:31
husband prefers the beef, so I got a 5%
7:34
lean. And then I actually am not huge on
7:38
red meat. It's not that I don't like it,
7:39
it's just that my body has a really hard
7:41
time breaking it down. So, I go for
7:43
ground turkey sometimes. They're a
7:45
really good price. I just can't see it.
7:47
So, maybe I'll find it and then link it
7:49
for you guys. But for instance, these
7:52
are the boneless and skinless chicken
7:54
thighs, which are really great for like
7:56
meal prep. As you can see, it's like six
7:59
large packs. And this was $25.
8:03
Also have some chicken thighs. Six pack
8:06
of these as well, individually wrapped.
8:08
And these ones were $18. So we got the
8:11
Kirkland chicken thighs, bone in and
8:14
then boneless, as well as the ground
8:16
turkey, the ground beef. And then these
8:19
were $22. It's a large package of the
8:22
Kirkland brand pork and rib loin chops.
8:27
So plenty of those. Can do some
8:29
different pork dishes, which I don't
8:32
often do, but I was going through the
8:34
Tasty app, which I love the Tasty app.
8:37
So many good, delicious, easy to make
8:39
treats in there. They show you how to do
8:41
them so quick and easy, and you can add
8:42
like all the ingredients to your cart as
8:44
well. So, I found a couple of dishes
8:47
that requires you to use pork. I also
8:50
got the Kirkland peeled de vain raw
8:54
shrimp as well.
8:57
Hi, baby. Baby girl is up now. So, I'm
9:00
going to show you guys the rest of these
9:01
groceries and then I'm going to get into
9:04
taking care of her. It's almost time for
9:06
me to go to the gym as well in which my
9:09
husband's going to watch the children,
9:14
but I have to get all the stuff put
9:16
away. This is the broccoli. And this one
9:18
has four one lb bags, which is enough
9:21
for the four of us.
9:24
We can have that on four separate, you
9:27
know, days. I got the variety cookies
9:30
here. Mommy's coming.
9:33
some pistachio chocolate mousse
9:36
desserts. These are the Kirkland
9:38
signature macadamia milk chocolate and
9:41
salted caramel clusters. I got the kids
9:44
these mini bags of chips. So, it comes
9:47
with 60 bags, half the size of a normal
9:49
bag of chips, and they're perfect to put
9:52
inside of the kids like diaper bag. And
9:54
then I also got some plain bagels for my
9:57
son. Blueberry bagels as well. Whipped
9:59
cream cheese spread. This is the one my
10:02
son likes. And then we also have like a
10:04
lactoseree one that'll be here later.
10:07
But that's everything that came
10:10
basically with the Amazon Fresh, which
10:11
just the bagels and the cream cheese. So
10:13
everything else was from Costco. So I'm
10:16
going to get all of this stuff put away
10:19
and then the other grocery order will be
10:21
here a little bit later. [music]

12:40
So, they're working on that with my
12:42
husband and I am in the gym now getting
12:45
ready to do a workout. I have five
12:48
exercises that I need to do today. Right
12:51
now, the gym is empty. Nobody else is in
12:53
here. So, I found like my sweet spot of
12:56
time to come where I can get some work
12:58
done. And so, I'm going to try and get
13:01
it done without wasting a ton of time
13:04
because I enjoy getting the bulk of my
13:05
workout done where there's nobody inside
13:08
of here. This is just like my peaceful I
13:11
know it's not like relaxing, but it just
13:13
feels refreshing. I think that's a
13:15
better word. It's really good to take
13:17
some time intentionally to care for
13:19
yourself before you get into the
13:22
nitty-gritty of the day. So, once I get
13:24
back, I got more groceries to put away.
13:26
We have to take out um things that we're
13:29
going to be using for dinner prep, and
13:31
we have to get some math lessons done
13:33
with Noah. He's completely done with
13:35
language arts, but we'll talk about that
13:37
later. for now. Let's do a workout. I
13:40
took my vitamins, which it's iron,
13:44
potassium, vitamin C to help with the
13:48
iron digestion. I think I did maybe
13:52
vitamin D. Um,
13:55
and then I also take one that's for like
13:57
hair, skin, and nails because it's
13:59
really helpful like postpartum and
14:01
things like that. So, took my vitamins
14:04
to really help fuel me through the
14:06
workout. I'm anemic and I have something
14:09
that is called POTS where basically
14:12
sometimes if you stand up too fast or
14:14
your heart rate drops or if your heart
14:16
rate is elevated you can lose
14:18
consciousness and faint. I also have
14:20
sinkable episodes. So it's really
14:22
important to take care of myself. I have
14:23
like a little wristband in my gym bag
14:25
that I wear that just gives people you
14:28
know heads up in case I'm ever in the
14:30
gym where I do like faint. I know like
14:33
how to bring myself to safe, you know,
14:35
spots on the floor and lay down when the
14:37
signs arise. But if someone else is
14:39
around, they may become alarmed so I
14:41
have like contact information where they
14:43
can find my husband at so that you know
14:46
they're not panicked. They understand
14:48
what's going on and things like that. I
14:50
haven't had any of those problems being
14:53
down here by myself. I only had one
14:55
occurrence where my husband was actually
14:56
here with me and so it led me to begin
14:59
just taking things a lot more serious
15:01
when I'm down here. here. So, taking my
15:03
potassium before I work out, my iron,
15:06
and fueling myself. The shake that you
15:09
guys saw me drinking has um it's a mass
15:12
gainer shake because it basically gives
15:15
me enough like calories and carbs and
15:18
protein to be able to fuel my body
15:20
through the workouts as well. So, I'm
15:22
drinking like water to stay hydrated
15:25
before I leave. I have my water bottle
15:26
sitting over there on the window seal.
15:29
And then I'm also um
15:32
just having, you know, making sure that
15:34
I got my micronutrients and calories
15:37
that I have inside of the shake that you
15:39
guys saw me prepare. I think it's about
15:42
12 to,300 calories in there. So I drink
15:44
half of that. So I at least have, you
15:48
know, at least 600 calories or so to
15:52
boost me to get me through this workout.
15:54
and then I'll drink the other half when
15:55
I get back because you guys did not see
15:57
me have any breakfast cuz I don't want
15:59
my belly to be heavy when I'm working
16:01
out, but I need to be fueled. So, a lot
16:04
goes into
16:06
that. I know as a mother, especially as
16:09
stay at home mom, homeschool mom,
16:11
homemaker, things like that, it can be
16:12
very difficult to learn how to care for
16:15
ourselves and our bodies. But once we
16:17
learn how to do so and we, you know,
16:20
just get over that difficult hurdle to
16:24
get towards consistency, it just becomes
16:26
easier and we're a better mom and
16:28
homemaker for it. So, [music]
16:29
let's go ahead and get started with our
16:31
workout for today.

21:19
>> So, I'm going to set the kids up with
21:21
this little Play-Doh kit. I went to the
21:24
store, picked up a few things
21:27
for Naa to keep her busy when we're
21:31
doing like homeschool and things. Just
21:33
looking for some really inexpensive
21:35
screen feed activities. You can actually
21:36
make Play-Doh right at home with things
21:40
in your cabinet, but it can be a little
21:43
bit messy. So, I opted in for this
21:45
entire kit here. Get her really
21:48
interested in it. And then when I get
21:50
out of the shower, he can begin his math
21:52
lessons. She will keep playing
21:55
with this here Play-Doh
21:58
so that he can get through those
22:00
lessons. So, I'm going to go shower. The
22:03
kids are going to play with this. Let me
22:05
see it. Honey comes with this like
22:08
hamburger maker set. So, just something
22:10
to keep her busy, get us through a
22:11
lesson today. Like these little things
22:13
like these you can just rotate
22:14
throughout the week, throughout the
22:16
month. So maybe today it'll be this,
22:18
maybe tomorrow it'll be like a sensory
22:20
bin or something. Um, and just swamp it
22:23
out. And then the following week maybe
22:24
we'll pull this back out. Like you know,
22:26
we just just basic like easy simple
22:28
little things.
22:45
So, I'm feeling very refreshed now. I
22:47
had a very nice hot steamy shower. I
22:51
always like to light a candle, really
22:53
set the mood, dim the lights, and close
22:56
the door and just let the steam, you
22:58
know, just really get into my skin
23:02
during my like skin care routine in the
23:04
shower and everything. The hot shower
23:06
directly after working out just helps
23:08
with muscle recovery. And sometimes I'll
23:12
play like a nice calm podcast or
23:14
something like that. Or sometimes I will
23:16
just listen to the water just run down
23:20
the drain depending on how I'm feeling.
23:22
I have this Dr. Tills magnesium spray
23:25
with minerals and essential oils. It's
23:27
like lavender bedtime therapy with Epsom
23:29
salt and sea salt and things like that
23:32
that helps as well for muscle recovery.
23:35
So, I just spray some of this on my
23:38
muscles when I get out of the shower. I
23:41
don't put on any like body butter or
23:43
anything like that. I do that at night
23:46
time when I shower because it's a little
23:49
bit cooler um in the night as to where
23:53
during the daytime if it's like 90
23:55
something degrees like it is right now,
23:57
I just don't want to feel like super
23:59
sticky. I often use like body butters
24:02
which just help your body to over time
24:06
maintain like natural moisture and I try
24:10
to use natural soaps inside of the
24:13
shower that has moisture in it as well
24:15
so that when I come out of the shower
24:17
the soap wasn't like full of chemicals.
24:19
It didn't like strip my skin of all of
24:21
its like natural oils. instead it like
24:24
has moisturizing ingredients inside of
24:27
it like shea butter, olive oil, things
24:30
like that. And I don't have to worry
24:32
about like being ashy throughout the
24:34
day. And then at night, I'll just apply
24:37
like a shea butter, a body butter. These
24:39
are just products that I make myself. I
24:42
know what ingredients go into them.
24:44
Nice, very simple and effective
24:47
ingredients. I will leave a link to my
24:50
website, Hurts and Home Heritage, down
24:52
below. Maybe there's something that you
24:53
would like to try out if you're looking
24:54
for some simple and minimal healthy skin
24:58
care. I also have like vegan hair care
25:00
products and things like that on there
25:02
as well. But this is where the busier
25:07
part of my day comes in. So, I am going
25:10
to say another like very short prayer
25:13
and then I'm going to dive in. We always
25:15
say a prayer before we begin homechool.
25:18
And I just know just having that
25:20
expectation like this is the busier part
25:22
of my day, but it's normally just busy
25:25
or a little bit more difficult for just
25:28
2 hours because in about an hour and a
25:30
half, my daughter's going to be ready
25:32
for her nap. So knowing and going into
25:35
it with the expectations set kind of
25:38
just helps me to say like, "Okay, I need
25:41
to stay calm or have different plans in
25:44
place to be able to get through this
25:47
time frame." So, we are going to do some
25:50
math lessons. My daughter's going to
25:52
just do some hands-on learning and play
25:55
and things like that or just sit through
25:57
our lessons with us. And then I'm going
26:00
to put some groceries away. The rest of
26:02
the groceries have come. And then after
26:05
I put my daughter down for nap, we can
26:08
have another moment of rest time in
26:11
which maybe I will maybe vlog. I don't
26:15
know. I feel like so Mondays and
26:18
Tuesdays are normally like my content
26:19
creation days. I try not to do
26:21
everything in one day. Um
26:25
I swear Thursdays and Fridays are
26:27
normally my blogging day or when I
26:29
consume information like I'm studying,
26:31
I'm learning, I'm watching courses and
26:33
then I try to edit on like Fridays and
26:36
Saturdays as well. So that's kind of how
26:39
I've been trying to structure things so
26:41
that I can try to find balance. It's
26:43
always changing, right? But I may or may
26:46
not have a blogging hour today where I
26:48
basically write a post and post it to my
26:51
blog. That's the goal. But I also have
26:54
to prepare dinner. So maybe we'll save
26:56
that for tomorrow. Kind of just depends
26:57
on how we're feeling. But at least know
27:00
for the next 2 hours um what the
27:03
priority is. So set your priorities and
27:05
then allow just if you have time for
27:09
something else then great. If you don't
27:11
at least you've gotten your priorities
27:12
taken care of. So, we're going to get
27:14
into some math and some home making,
27:17
some mom life, and all that good stuff.
27:20
My kitchen is officially a temporary
27:24
mess. I've got to put these things in
27:27
the fridge quickly. We've got some
27:29
buttermilk here, some lactoseree whole
27:32
milk, some vanilla silk soy milk, some
27:36
sour cream,
27:37
Landanda likes unsalted butter, [crying]
27:41
pickles,
27:43
crescent dough. I've got some garlic,
27:47
lactoseree cream cheese. We've got some
27:51
oven roasted turkey breast for like
27:53
lunch meat sandwiches. We've got milk
27:56
chocolate chips to make homemade cookies
27:58
with. Got some honey barbecue sauce.
28:01
Some log cabin no high fruits corn syrup
28:05
for breakfast. Got the kids some um
28:09
organic watermelon strawberry
28:12
juices from Whole Foods. Some corn
28:16
starch. Got these um Checkex Mix single
28:20
serve bags. I just keep like a large bin
28:22
full of snacks. grab and go. I also got
28:25
them these little banana muffins,
28:28
some Yum Earth vitamin C pops,
28:34
some Yum Earth variety packs of like
28:37
little snack pack candy. So like jelly
28:40
beans, giggles, um chews, things like
28:43
that. It's like the popular candies, but
28:46
they're allergy friendly. No artificial
28:49
dyes. They are vegan. And then here it
28:53
just tells you like everything that it
28:55
does not have. And it also has much less
28:59
sugar content as well. Few more meats.
29:02
I've got some breakfast sausage links.
29:05
Two packs of those. As well as some
29:08
ground Italian sausage. I've got two
29:10
packages of the Maui um salmon Atlantic
29:15
salmon fillets. So it comes with like
29:17
two in a pack. So we've got two packs
29:19
for four.
29:21
And then I thought I cancelceled the
29:24
shrimp because we had shrimp from
29:25
Costco, but still have them.
29:28
And then we got some cod fillets. I'm
29:32
thinking we can do like fish sandwiches,
29:34
like crispy fish sandwiches this week.
29:36
So I got some cod fillets. And then we
29:38
also got like a large pack of whole
29:40
wings down there. Got some blueberries,
29:43
strawberries.
29:45
I've got red potatoes. Idaho rusted
29:48
potatoes. Idaho. This is the Amazon
29:51
brand of roasted potatoes, sweet
29:53
potatoes there. Bio hamburger buns here
29:56
for the fish sandwiches. We've got some
30:00
bio style um like kind of like Texas
30:04
toast cuz like it's a little bit thicker
30:06
than the regular like they're thick
30:08
slice. We're going to do French toast
30:09
sticks and put them in the freezer for
30:11
like a easy grab breakfast option for
30:13
the [music] kids. And then underneath
30:14
there, I've got some flour tortilla
30:15
burritos, so that I can, you know, prep
30:17
some egg eggs, like scrambled eggs with
30:20
cheese and the ground Italian sausage,
30:22
and wrap those up for a easy grab and go
30:25
breakfast option for my husband and I.
30:27
And then we've got some parmesan
30:29
shredded cheese, more eggs, some pedia.
30:32
I'm going to see if I can get in a van
30:33
and start drinking that because we wean
30:35
her from breast milk in about 1 month.
30:37
I've got some whole wheat flour for
30:39
sandwich bread. I've got cinnamon rolls
30:43
here. I forgot what I was going to make
30:44
with that, but we'll figure it out in
30:46
the tasty app. Fetishini
30:49
pasta back there. You guys see, I just
30:51
got more snacks for the kids. More of
30:54
the little bites, the blueberry organic
30:56
vanilla animal cookies, fruit snacks by
30:59
Yum Earth, as well as some Auntie
31:02
Annie's like graham crackers cheesits. I
31:05
realized I've gone overboard. So, we're
31:06
going to store a lot of this stuff just
31:08
like far back in the pantry to be able
31:10
to just refill their snack bin. And it's
31:14
been a while that I have refilled it
31:16
probably months. So, I had to get it
31:19
done and I have to do it every single
31:20
month. But, I've got some spinach. And
31:22
then I've also got, let's see,
31:24
asparagus,
31:26
green onion, fresh parsley. I've got
31:30
organic rosemary, some shallots, chili
31:34
powder, lemon juice, lemons, halos back
31:37
there, which is like the mandarin
31:39
oranges, two bunches of bananas. I got
31:42
these for the kids. It's two in the
31:44
pack, so it's like four that I have. And
31:46
it's just got like teddy, little cheese,
31:48
little fruit snacks, and things like
31:49
that. Quick and quick grab and go for on
31:52
the go. And then um more pink salt,
31:57
Italian style bread crumbs, Italian
31:59
seasoning, Old Bay seasoning, cayenne
32:01
pepper, two cans of coconut milk, as
32:04
well as some strawberry filling so that
32:06
we can make some homemade um Pop-Tarts.
32:10
This pretty much everything. And I'm
32:12
going to get all the stuff put away
32:14
while Noah finishes up his homechool. Is
32:18
like I said, that time of the day that's
32:20
a little bit busier. So, I have baby
32:21
girl watching her show. I'm going to let
32:24
her watch an episode probably for about
32:26
30 minutes so that I can get this stuff
32:28
put away while Noah's, you know, working
32:30
on his math work. I was able to explain
32:32
the lessons to him and everything like
32:34
that. So, he just needs to like get the
32:36
work done while I get the stuff put away
32:38
and then I'll check in on him again, see
32:40
what we have to do next, and then put
32:42
baby girl down for her nap. I also need
32:44
to check my notebook cuz I cannot
32:46
mentally remember like what we have to
32:49
make for dinner today. But I wrote a few
32:52
options down in my book. And I think
32:54
we're having like shrimp and spinach
32:56
pasta for dinner today. I think that's
32:59
what we're going to go with for today.
33:02
So I'm just going to go ahead and make
33:04
sure that I take the shrimp out of the
33:06
freezer, put it into the fridge.
33:09
Everything else it's fine. So, let's get
33:12
all of the stuff just put away for now.
33:14
Two windmills with four blades each. So,
33:16
we got one in front of us, boop, with
33:19
four blades plus another one behind us
33:22
with four blades
33:25
>> equals eight. And how do we say this
33:28
problem? Two windmills with four blades.
33:31
That means we have two windmills look
33:35
with
33:37
four blades. So, we can either do 4 + 4,
33:40
which is the same as 2 * 4. Let's see
33:43
you do it over here. Hold your pencil.
33:47
So, we have five
33:50
camels came carrying five baskets each.
33:54
Baby girl has actually been napping for
33:58
I want to say almost an hour now. I'll
34:01
say it's definitely been about 40
34:03
minutes. I think she's going to nap for
34:07
maybe another 45 minutes. I spent some
34:12
time just holding her for half of her
34:14
nap time and then I scheduled some posts
34:18
for my um meta business suite to be like
34:23
posted on social media and things like
34:24
that. Just scheduled some business
34:26
posts. Um, and then I started to feel
34:29
tired and so me just trying to like
34:31
listen to myself, I decided to eat like
34:34
real food because I only had the protein
34:36
shakes. So, needed to get some real food
34:39
in my system. So, I had a banana as well
34:43
as one of our meal preps. My husband is
34:46
so kind enough to prep at the beginning
34:49
of the weeks. He just makes like a large
34:52
batch of um like grilled chicken and
34:56
then I'll make just a large pot of rice
34:58
and we'll just portion them out into
35:02
about like 8 to 12 containers or so and
35:06
then we just eat those throughout the
35:07
week to try and keep up with like you
35:10
know our um food and things like that
35:13
which is so helpful because I didn't
35:16
have a ton of time to be able to prepare
35:18
lunch. Um, I mean, I guess I could have,
35:22
but I still need to prepare dinner. And
35:25
so, I guess it's just one more way that
35:27
you can like simplify meal planning,
35:29
simplify, you know, your time, your
35:31
days, and things like that. And instead,
35:34
with the time that I have, I'm going to
35:36
take a nap. It might only be 20, 30
35:38
minutes. Either way, I think it's really
35:41
going to really refresh me and give me
35:43
the energy that I am craving right now.
35:47
So, um, I had finished my protein shake
35:53
and I ate rice, grilled chicken, banana
35:57
for extra potassium. So, I have
35:58
potassium in the banana, carbs in the
36:01
rice. I had some protein in the um,
36:05
chicken. I didn't have I probably could
36:08
use a bit more iron. um took an iron
36:11
vitamin today, but like getting that
36:13
naturally. I probably should have added
36:15
like some spinach into the bowl with the
36:17
rice and chicken. Maybe that's what I'll
36:19
do next time. But I'm going to put
36:21
spinach in dinner tonight. So, my
36:24
husband had took out some steaks that I
36:26
think he's going to be wanting to
36:28
prepare tonight. And the red meat can be
36:31
a lot on me. So, I think maybe I'll have
36:32
like one half of the steak and give the
36:35
other half to like my son. And then I
36:38
will
36:39
make the shrimp and spinach pasta, which
36:42
is so easy. The um sauce is just chicken
36:48
broth, uh milk. I have some lactosefree
36:51
whole milk, and then you add some grated
36:55
Parmesan cheese.
36:57
Um, and I think that's pretty much it.
37:00
You just grill the shrimp with a little
37:01
bit of olive oil and butter. You season
37:04
everything with salt, pepper, however
37:05
you want to season everything. You add
37:07
the spinach in. Once the noodles are
37:10
done cooking, then you top it with the
37:12
shrimp. Super easy to make. I don't have
37:14
to do a ton of things. It's a one pan
37:17
type of meal. I'm going to have a little
37:19
nap, fuel myself. Later on, um we can
37:22
cook dinner together. It is time to
37:25
prepare some dinner. I'm going to be
37:28
using the Tasty app to do so. I love
37:32
that it's in your phone. Um, you can
37:36
save all your recipes, your ingredients,
37:38
and everything. And the tutorials are
37:40
normally so short. Like the actual video
37:42
for us, you don't have to worry about
37:44
like ads interfering and things like
37:45
that. And the video itself is like a
37:48
minute long or so. So, we're going to be
37:50
doing this using the Tasty app to create
37:53
this creamy one pot spinach and shrimp
37:56
pasta. And Na is here with me. She is
37:59
over there on the sofa. and Noah is with
38:04
my husband at the gym. So, my husband,
38:07
he works out in the evening and I go
38:09
during the daytime because I prefer to
38:11
go when I have my energy in the day. In
38:15
the evening, I just don't have a lot of
38:16
energy. Um, by the way, I had a
38:19
wonderful nap. I napped and slept for
38:21
like
38:24
maybe 2 hours. I don't know. So, that's
38:26
great. But,
38:29
I woke up. my husband took with him to
38:31
the gym. So, that is something that I
38:33
wanted to mention to you guys. So, I
38:36
know that it's not always super easy to
38:38
take care of ourselves, you know, as
38:40
stay-at-home moms because we're the one
38:42
taking care of the kids, right? I don't
38:44
take it for granted that my husband gets
38:47
to work from home and that he uses some
38:49
of that time to watch the children while
38:52
I'm working out. It's not that way all
38:54
the time, but when it is, so grateful
38:56
for it. Otherwise, I sometimes work out
39:00
right in our living room. I got like
39:02
home gym equipment, and I can work out
39:04
in the living room while my children are
39:06
here or during nap time. In one of my
39:08
vlogs, I was showing you guys me working
39:11
out while my daughter was having her nap
39:13
time and just utilizing that nap hour.
39:17
At the gym that we have here at our
39:19
community, there's like a playroom in
39:21
there, which you guys didn't see
39:23
obviously, but there's a playroom. It
39:25
has like a television. They normally
39:28
have some sort of like Disney movie or
39:29
cartoon on. And you can control that.
39:33
And then there is lots of toys in there
39:37
um for the kids to play with. A little
39:39
table and chair in there. You can close
39:41
the door. For instance, I could bring
39:43
both of the kids down there with me, set
39:45
Noah up at the table with his
39:46
schoolwork, turn on a Disney movie, and
39:49
let Noah Naa play with the toys and just
39:52
close the door while I work out. like I
39:54
could go that route. Sometimes I see
39:56
people in there with their children all
39:58
the time. There's a guy that'll bring
40:00
his daughter with her stroller and push
40:02
the stroller next to the treadmill. Moms
40:05
will put the kids in the playroom while
40:06
they work out. There are ways, you know,
40:09
to do it. [music] And so while I'm super
40:12
blessed that most of the time my husband
40:15
watches the kids when I'm working out,
40:17
um I know that it can be difficult to,
40:21
you know, put in the effort to work out
40:24
or to make sure we're staying on top of
40:25
our vitamins, our nutrition, our
40:27
dieting, and taking good care of
40:28
ourselves. But you will definitely be a
40:31
better mom for it. And you will also be
40:35
a lot um less overwhelmed and burn out
40:38
when you unselfishly take some time out
40:41
to care for yourself as well. When Na
40:44
when I put her down for her nap, I spent
40:46
some time with my son on the sofa while
40:49
I was eating my chicken and rice um
40:53
before I went and napped with Naa. So,
40:57
when you hear moms tell you like nap
40:59
when baby is napping, I know as
41:01
nerve-wracking as it sounds, it's not
41:04
always, you know, realistic, but when
41:06
you can, it's definitely wonderful. So,
41:09
I took that advice today and I often do
41:12
at least once per week. There's
41:13
absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying a
41:16
nap. That's the beauty of like just
41:18
trying to slow down your life and live
41:20
slow and unrushed. And slow down, take a
41:23
nap, you know. So, enough of the
41:25
talking. Let's prepare some dinner and
41:28
then um we'll probably close out the
41:30
vlog after that cuz that'll pretty much
41:32
be the end of our day. We will spend
41:33
family time together and eat dinner
41:36
together, hang out together. What's
41:38
wrong, sweetheart?
41:42
[crying]
41:45
>> My daughter is hiding in the pantry next
41:47
to the snacks requesting chips. Um so
41:50
yeah, I need to get started with dinner.
41:53
need one tablespoon of butter. So,
42:01
and we'll let that heat while we cut up
42:04
two cloves of garlic.
42:18
Okay, that's hot. Now,
42:32
salt, pepper,
42:42
something that would really really
42:43
elevate this dish is like sundried
42:45
tomatoes. But today we are going to just
43:07
here we'll add the broth.
43:22
I [music] got some lactose free whole
43:25
milk.
43:27
I'm going to get in one and 1/2 cups of
43:29
that milk.
43:33
Let's make this go faster.
43:37
Pasta.
43:45
I got it.
44:37
I've made a mess.
44:42
Dinner is done. [music] So, we're going
44:43
to put a lid on it
44:46
and we're going to move it off the heat.
44:51
Few dishes in here. So, I could hand
44:54
wash a few dishes, but I need to unload
44:56
the dishwasher anyway so that once we're
44:58
done eating, we [music] can load them
45:00
into the dishwasher, start it, and then
45:03
I don't have to worry about doing dishes
45:04
tonight. So, I'm going to unload the
45:06
dishes, reload it, and we'll be able to
45:09
eat dinner. That pretty much sums up
45:11
this vlog today. I hope that you guys
45:13
enjoyed [music] this very productive,
45:15
but still very intentional and slow day
45:17
in the life as a stay-at-home mom,
45:20
homemaker, homeschool mom. um all the
45:23
things. So, I hope that you guys have a
45:25
wonderful week. Thanks so much for
45:27
hanging out and being here with me. If
45:29
you're new, do not forget to subscribe.
45:31
I enjoy sharing content with you all
45:34
that's relatable and very realistic
45:36
[music] and pretty much just helping
45:38
moms who are tired and overwhelmed,
45:40
discouraged, unmotivated and burnt out
45:43
to simplify their lives slow down and
45:47
reind
45:49
or truly enjoy the beauty of motherhood
45:55
and our god-given roles as homemakers
45:57
and moms. So, would love to have you
45:59
here. Go ahead and give this video a
46:01
thumbs up. Subscribe for support and
46:04
I'll see you guys in the next one.
