Welcome to I guess a day in the life.
0:03
We're going to just pretty much be
0:04
getting the house together and doing
0:05
some cleaning. I've got a lot to do. I
0:08
just got back from the gym. So, most of
0:11
my day I feel like it's already gone.
0:14
We're still going to make the most out
0:16
of it and I'm going to do the best that
0:18
I can. The house is a mess, which means
0:20
that I have to clean it. My my kids,
0:24
they you not clean their rooms,
0:27
whatever. But when it comes to the rest
0:30
of the house, I can normally get my son
0:32
to like clean the living room, things
0:34
like that. But in terms of like, you
0:37
know, vacuuming, doing the the kitchen,
0:39
the dishes, everything, he's not great
0:41
at that. Not putting on a ton of makeup
0:43
today. But I do have one spot on my
0:47
face. It's literally like a little like
0:48
a little dark spot on my face that's
0:51
really really been bugging me for about
0:54
a month now. I woke up with this the
0:56
morning after. I got hair on my
0:59
chapstick. Terrible. I woke up with this
1:03
huge dark spot under my eye. It was like
1:07
swollen the day after my son's birthday
1:09
party, which was April, sometime in
1:13
April. And I knew I knew it would be
1:17
stubborn. And I have definitely been
1:21
very insecure about it. You know, like
1:24
normally if I don't wear makeup, it's
1:26
like, okay, fine. I don't mind. But that
1:29
one has really been bothering me. Like I
1:31
can see it like under my eye when I'm
1:33
not even in the mirror. But starting to
1:37
go get smaller
1:40
and starting to go away. In the
1:42
beginning, I had no choice but to just
1:43
deal with it because I didn't want to be
1:45
packing makeup over, you know, a
1:47
blemish. I wanted to try and get rid of
1:50
the problem instead of trying to cover
1:52
it up. And so I was using some of my own
1:55
like skin care products like I made a
1:57
charcoal and aloe vera and tea tree bar
2:00
soap and that really cleared it up as
2:02
well as a turmeric turmeric and honey
2:05
one that really lightens it up and so
2:08
yeah I've been using those and it is
2:10
literally like 90% better. So I feel
2:14
like okay I can cover it up sometimes
2:15
it's really bothering me and then at
2:17
night time I just treat it again
2:19
whatnot. trying my best to take care of
2:21
myself, you guys. So, going to the gym
2:24
has been really beneficial for me
2:25
lately. Um, trying to just really really
2:30
make sure that I'm taking care of
2:31
myself. My daughter, she's almost two
2:33
now. And so, I kind of have a little bit
2:38
more margin in my day. Like, right now,
2:41
she's out with dad. They went to get
2:43
kiwis, I think, to make milkshakes. I
2:46
have no idea. I don't know what a kiwi
2:49
milkshake is going to taste like, but
2:50
that's what they're doing. And so, I'm
2:52
gonna use this time to clean and peace
2:55
because sometimes cleaning, cooking, all
2:59
that stuff can really, really be
3:01
peaceful if we really just lean into it
3:04
and just appreciate our God-given roles
3:07
as moms, as homemakers,
3:11
then it just makes it a lot easier. So,
3:14
it's Friday.
3:16
Thank God it's Friday,
3:19
which means that the weekend is coming
3:20
up. We don't have to do any homeschool
3:22
on Saturday and Sunday, so I can just
3:25
clean, get my home together this
3:27
weekend, spend a little bit of time
3:29
focusing on my business, content
3:32
creation. The week is always the hardest
3:34
because I have to do homeschool every
3:36
day. We still have I think about three
3:39
more weeks before we wrap up our second
3:42
grade curriculum for my son who just
3:44
turned seven. Um and yeah, so normally
3:49
we are finished with curriculum before
3:51
his birthday. So we should have been
3:52
wrapping up second grade before he
3:54
turned seven, but we're still kind of
3:57
doing level two of the good and the
3:58
beautiful with math. So we finished
4:00
language arts. I don't know how that
4:02
always happens, but it just does. So
4:04
still working on math. We have about a
4:06
good three more weeks and then we can
4:09
just do supplemental work throughout the
4:11
summer. Looking forward, very much
4:14
looking forward to that. But you guys,
4:17
I'm also looking forward to the good and
4:18
the beautiful level four curriculum. So,
4:21
we're going to start up level three
4:23
curriculum sometime in August, I think.
4:27
I need I need a break, and I'm not
4:30
afraid to admit that anymore. I used to
4:33
be afraid to admit that. Hence why my
4:36
six-year-old was doing second grade
4:39
because we just didn't take breaks. He
4:43
didn't care for a break. Like, he enjoys
4:46
school, but the break is just something
4:48
that I kind of always just needed. So,
4:50
if I want to create content because you
4:53
guys, I don't necessarily have to. My
4:55
first priority in the home is a mom, a
4:58
wife, a homemaker and then everything
5:00
else comes after because my husband, my
5:02
husband is the provider. So content
5:04
creation and running my business, it's
5:06
just something that I choose to do. But
5:08
when it comes to the priorities that I
5:11
have throughout the week, homeschooling,
5:12
taking care of the kids, taking care of
5:14
the home, my business kind of has to be
5:15
like on the back burner. So I can't just
5:18
wake up and say, I want to work on my
5:19
business today. I got to say, first I
5:21
got to do XYZ and then have some time to
5:23
work on my business. So maybe I can get
5:26
a little bit more, you know, done in the
5:30
summer time. I don't know, you guys.
5:32
Maybe we'll end up not even taking a
5:34
break. I always say I'm looking forward
5:35
to it and then we end up not. I don't
5:37
know. We'll see. I have no idea what the
5:40
summer is going to be looking like.
5:41
We're supposed to be spending summer up
5:43
north um instead of here in Florida, so
5:48
who knows? But for now, we're going to
5:51
pull this apartment together and get it
5:53
looking nice and neat and clean so that
5:56
we can have a little bit more freedom in
5:59
this day and in this weekend. So, if you
6:02
are ready for some cleaning motivation,
6:04
then go ahead and give this video a
6:05
thumbs up. I'm happy that you're here.
6:07
Let's go ahead and get into it. Let's
6:08
start, of course, with all these dishes.
6:11
It's a mess. We'll start there.
6:27
have no idea what we're going to be
6:30
eating today
6:32
uh for dinner. I am on a mission to find
6:37
better options for my meal planning
6:41
months and everything because I just
6:44
don't know why. But lately, my mind is
6:46
just drawing blanks when it comes to
6:48
what to prepare for dinner. I just I
6:51
don't understand. Maybe I need to
6:53
revisit some of the stuff that we used
6:55
to have like in our old meal plan. I do
6:57
have I do have like my meal plans from
7:01
previous months, even previous years.
7:04
Maybe I just need to go back and look at
7:06
it. I think it's just that I've been
7:08
really struggling because everybody eats
7:11
differently. Um, I don't really enjoy
7:14
red meat. It just does not agree with my
7:17
body. It has a hard time breaking it
7:20
down. Me and baby girl are both a little
7:23
bit iron deficient. So, we need red
7:26
meat, but we need it and I need it in
7:30
other ways. The guys, they pretty much
7:33
like to eat every everything.
7:36
But when it comes to me trying out new
7:39
like healthy simple meals and
7:41
ingredients, my husband, I don't know,
7:44
he's not so keen to trying new things,
7:46
he he that's just how he is. So yeah, I
7:50
I've been struggling lately. And then my
7:52
daughter, she's younger and so some of
7:54
the things that we eat, she just either
7:56
can't eat, won't eat cuz she's a picky
7:59
toddler or it's a little bit harder for
8:01
her to eat, you know, like steak for
8:04
instance. um tacos, you know, or she
8:08
enjoys like pasta, of course, any type
8:11
of pastas, she will enjoy that. And she
8:14
loves like bake or broiled or roasted
8:16
chicken, things like that. All the
8:18
things that I like, but
8:22
the guys, they want something a bit
8:24
more. So, yeah, everybody's different
8:27
with what they want these days. and I'm
8:31
struggling to get a good breakfast,
8:33
lunch, and dinner healthy, simple meal
8:37
plan these days. So, I'm going to try
8:39
and find like some recipe books on like
8:43
Kindle or in the Tasty app. Maybe see if
8:47
I can find see if I can find some stuff
8:49
to pull together.
8:52
But I think if I stopped chit cchatting,
8:55
I could probably make more progress
8:57
around the kitchen here because a lot to
9:00
be done. One thing that I know a lot of
9:02
people talk about or debate is how much
9:05
time it takes to like recover after you
9:08
have a child like postpartum and
9:10
everything. And I feel like
9:15
I'm just going to go out on a limit here
9:17
and say maybe at least two years. Like
9:19
not physically, I guess. Like obviously
9:21
you can still do move around but like
9:24
fully recover
9:26
I'm just going to say for me cuz
9:29
everybody is different. Some people can
9:31
probably bounce back and recover quicker
9:33
than others. Depends on a lot of
9:35
different factors. But I feel like
9:37
around 2 years is when with my son I
9:42
began to start feeling a little bit like
9:46
myself again. And I think it has a lot
9:49
to do with breastfeeding. So I've been
9:51
breastfeeding less and less. And because
9:55
of that, hormonally, my body has been
9:57
going back to the way that it was
10:00
pre-baby because those hormones are just
10:03
something else, something crazy. Men
10:05
will never understand what we go through
10:09
when it comes to like hormones and
10:11
stuff. They probably just think we're
10:13
crazy. And so
10:17
with hormones and everything, when
10:19
you're breastfeeding, you are still kind
10:22
of not back to how you were preab I
10:25
guess. Um, and so I still have, you
10:29
know, struggled a lot with skin and hair
10:34
and my emotions and my energy levels, my
10:37
nutrition, um, all types of different
10:40
things. I just was struggling to find
10:44
the norm, I guess, consistency in things
10:47
like that. And I want to say that
10:50
finally
10:52
since I've been slowly
10:55
um
10:57
weaning like very very slowly like right
11:00
now we do nursing
11:04
right before nap time and then right
11:07
before bedtime and probably but she
11:11
still wakes up throughout the night for
11:13
a extra nursing session sometimes once
11:16
or sometimes twice.
11:18
It just depends. So, I'm still nursing
11:20
on demand throughout the night. So, my
11:23
sleep is still so wacky, but throughout
11:29
the day, just nap in bed time. So
11:31
definitely, you know,
11:34
not the same as nursing on demand
11:36
throughout the whole day and everything,
11:39
but yeah, I'm basically starting to feel
11:42
a little bit just slightly, not
11:46
completely normal, whatever normal even
11:49
is. And so I feel like once we're done
11:52
breastfeeding, which is age two, I will
11:56
finally start to feel like myself again,
11:59
a little bit normal again. Um,
12:04
yeah, whatever, whatever that looks
12:07
like. And then I feel like also we have
12:09
to get away from the notion of like what
12:11
normal is or normal being whatever we
12:13
were before we had our children because
12:15
with every child I feel like we change.
12:17
It's always going to be different. So, I
12:18
want to I guess normal isn't the proper
12:21
wording or the proper thing to say. I
12:24
just want to say I my body is not
12:26
feeling so wacky,
12:28
you know, as it was newborn stages, baby
12:32
stages. And I think that once we're
12:34
finished breastfeeding, at least
12:37
healthwise,
12:38
and mentally, emotionally, I think that
12:43
it can become a little bit more stable.
12:45
And that feels great. So, I've been
12:47
getting back into working out a lot
12:49
more.
12:50
Um, and that has really, really,
12:55
really been amazing cuz I love to be
12:58
active. I do. And when you have a baby,
13:00
it's hard to not sit and hold your baby
13:04
all day long or sit on the floor with
13:05
your baby and watch them play, you know?
13:09
Um, yeah. it's hard to really really be
13:12
very active and sometimes you didn't
13:15
even have the energy to do it. And so
13:17
I've definitely been getting back to
13:21
doing some of the things that I really
13:24
love to do. Yeah, that's been great. Let
13:27
me know how long it took you if you're a
13:29
mom to recover and get back to pre-baby
13:35
like I guess stop feeling like a crazy
13:38
lady.
13:40
after you had your kids. It's like we do
13:42
this and then we turn around and we do
13:43
it all over again. We have more kids,
13:45
you know, and it's a verse in the Bible
13:48
that tells us like we are literally
13:50
gonna forget the pain once we have our
13:53
kids. It's so funny. So, I don't know.
13:55
Who knows? But
13:58
let me finish cleaning up this house and
14:00
stop talking so much
14:04
and see how much we can get done. Let's
14:06
see.
14:09
It's already late and yeah, I said to
14:12
figure out dinner. So, I'm gonna take
14:14
some time to clean, think about what I
14:16
maybe want to make for dinner.
14:34
How come the stars come to shine when
14:37
it's dark from so far away? Show us
14:41
where we are.
14:44
What makes the sun go to sleep every
14:47
night? And what's it dreaming of?
14:52
I wonder.
15:04
How come the sky sometimes hides behind
15:07
the clouds? Maybe it's just like me, a
15:10
little bit scared of heights.
15:13
Why does the rain always keep on pouring
15:17
down when it's gray outside?
15:21
It really makes me wonder.
15:26
Yeah, it makes me wonder.
15:31
It really makes me wonder.
15:37
I wonder
15:43
how come the trees gets untrusted when
15:46
it's cold.
15:48
And don't they miss the leaves they left
15:50
behind?
15:53
Could it be to make the ground shine
15:56
like cold? Until winter comes.
15:59
Until winter comes.
16:02
until winter comes.
16:05
It really makes me wonder.
16:10
Yeah, it makes me wonder.
16:15
It really makes me wonder.
16:20
Oh, I wonder.
16:46
How come the stars come to shine when
16:49
it's dark from so far away and show us
16:53
where we are?
16:56
It really makes me wonder.
17:02
Yeah, it makes me wonder.
17:07
Oh, I wonder.
17:12
Oh, I just wonder.
17:16
It really makes me wonder.
17:22
Yeah, I wonder.
17:26
Yeah, it makes me wonder.
17:31
It makes me wonder.
17:37
I need to finish cutting up these apples
17:39
and put them inside of something because
17:43
my daughter wanted those apples before
17:47
she left and she asked for them and then
17:51
she just left. So, I'm just going to
17:54
store them away.
18:01
I actually got management to order me a
18:06
brand new stove. I was really hating the
18:10
range that we had and just missing
18:13
having a flat top stove like the one
18:15
that we had back home in Michigan. And
18:18
so, I just nicely asked them. I was
18:21
like, you know, this one is pretty old
18:22
and worn. Like, it's just not it's not
18:26
my favorite stove. Please order me a new
18:28
stove. So, they ordered us a brand new
18:30
stove, and that's that's pretty great.
18:35
And so, I like this one better.
18:39
No complaints at all.
18:44
All right. So, I'm going to get these
18:45
apples cut up and then do the living
18:47
room and see what time we're working
18:49
with. I don't want to do a whole house
18:51
clean. I'm not trying to spend my entire
18:53
day cleaning. I talk about that on the
18:55
channel how, you know, everything does
18:57
not have to be a full whole house clean.
19:01
If you just do a little here and a
19:03
little there, you kind of just stay on
19:04
top of it. So, it's never just going
19:07
completely, you know, into chaos. It's
19:10
never so bad that you have to do a whole
19:13
house clean. Um, so
19:17
there is definitely other things I want
19:19
to do with my day.
19:25
All my good knives are in the
19:26
dishwasher.
19:28
So, we're using a steak knife.
19:32
Wow, I just dropped one on the floor.
19:36
That is great.
19:42
What a waste
19:44
of a wonderful
19:47
apple.
20:10
I can never get good lighting in here.
20:12
It's just awful. Have like we installed
20:15
some new lights in the ceiling fan, but
20:18
they're really like yellow, I guess. So,
20:22
I want to get some bright white light
20:24
bulbs and see if that brightens up the
20:26
lighting in here, at least for filming
20:28
purposes, because it's pretty dark. I'm
20:30
going to go wash these, though.
20:33
Amazing.
21:34
Can you guess who it is?
21:38
>> Huh?
21:41
>> Yeah.
21:42
Guess another one.
21:46
>> Mango.
21:47
>> No.
21:48
>> Grapefruit.
21:50
>> Grapefruit.
21:51
>> No.
21:52
>> Uh, papaya.
21:55
>> No.
21:59
Let's see. What does it even
22:42
The kids are back. I'm literally hiding
22:44
from them in the bathroom because my
22:46
daughter is demanding my attention right
22:48
now. But the last thing I need to do is
22:51
just check the kids diaper bag and make
22:53
sure that it's still stocked with
22:55
everything that we need. We went to the
22:57
park the day before yesterday went to
22:59
Epcot and so I always keep diapers,
23:02
change of clothes, snacks in here. We
23:05
have rain gear that we ended up using
23:06
and I actually need to get that bag out
23:08
of the car. I like to keep everything
23:10
just stocked and ready to go and by the
23:12
door just hanging up on a little hook.
23:14
So, in the diaper bag, the only thing
23:16
that we used was some snacks. But if I
23:18
was to like use a diaper, I would come
23:21
home, put another diaper in here, and
23:23
then hang it back up by the door. If we
23:24
ended up using a change of clothes, then
23:26
I would take, you know, the change of
23:28
clothes that she changed out of, put
23:30
that in the laundry, and then put a new
23:32
fresh change of clothes in here and hang
23:34
it up. The only thing that the kids
23:37
ended up using is snacks. So, I always
23:41
have emergency snacks. We might get
23:44
stuck in traffic. The kids might just
23:46
get antsy hungry. So, I keep a little
23:48
package here. Some snacks are like
23:51
really those like emergency snacks where
23:53
it's got to be something that the kids
23:54
are really loving, but otherwise it'll
23:56
be something healthy. So, we've got
23:57
these like Blakes Rice Krispie treats.
24:00
These are supposed to be like
24:01
allergyfriendly. It's got like um it's
24:04
gluten-free, allergyfriendly, no
24:06
artificial ingredients. So, these are
24:07
the Blakes Rice Krispie treats. I keep
24:10
some of those in there. I keeps the
24:12
Soleie organic fruit gummies, which is
24:16
two ingredients in there as well. It's
24:18
like a healthier version of like a fruit
24:20
snack. And then I keep some of the
24:23
Better Goods fruit strips in here. And
24:27
then I also keep the Pure Organic
24:30
Twisted Fruit Bites in here. And then
24:32
other than that, we keep things like
24:36
peanut butter crackers. These are the
24:38
organic ones from Whole Foods Market.
24:40
Um, what else? And then
24:43
I also keep some sort of like chips or
24:47
something in here. Normally like the
24:49
like little small kind of like Pringle
24:51
size version of them. I keep a couple of
24:54
those in the bag for them as well. So in
24:57
here, I think I'm going to put a couple
24:59
more of the fruit strips in here and
25:00
then maybe some more like peanut butter
25:02
crackers, cheesites, pretzels, something
25:04
like that. And just throw this hang it
25:07
back up on the door. Um,
25:11
so other than that, I think we're good
25:15
here. I got to get the rain gear out of
25:17
the car,
25:19
make sure it's washed and everything and
25:21
put it back in the car. We keep the rain
25:23
gear in the car. And then this one we
25:26
keep inside next to the door to just
25:28
grab and go. With our rain gear, you
25:30
never know if it's going to rain and
25:32
we're just out and about. If we're out
25:34
and it rains, we have rain gear inside
25:36
of the car. So, we keep like rain
25:38
jackets, umbrella, and stroller cover in
25:40
the car all the time just in case we
25:42
need it. Um, so going to restock this
25:47
and then we are going to close out the
25:49
vlog. I just wanted to share some
25:51
cleaning motivation with you guys today.
25:52
So, I hope that you guys enjoyed it and
25:54
find it to be motivating. If you did,
25:56
don't forget to give it a thumbs up and
25:57
I'll see you guys in the next one. Hey.
