Los Angeles, United States - September 30, 2026 09/30/2026 03:00 am GMT-0700 Sun Valley – Two suspects attempted to break into a pawn shop using power tools on the 8000 block of Vineland Avenue, according to initial reports from the Los Angeles Police Department. An air unit discovered holes in the roof, prompting officers to request assistance from the Los Angeles Fire Department for a ladder to examine the commercial plaza’s rooftop. Upon investigation, officers confirmed that holes were made in the roof. However, it seems the perpetrators were initially unable to gain entry and fled the scene prior to officer arrival. Although the rooftop above the pawn shop was damaged, no property was reported missing. The suspects allegedly returned to the plaza and are believed to have gained entry. Police believe the suspects are inside the building and are currently holding a perimeter around the area.
