US, Los Angeles: Llano Summit Fire Grows to 2676 Acres.

Los Angeles, United States - July 11, 2026 07/10/2026 07:00 pm GMT-0700 Llano – Crews are working to contain a brush fire that erupted this afternoon in the Antelope Valley community of Llano amid mid-90-degree temperatures. The fire, known as the Summit Fire, has burned approximately 2,676 acres with 0% containment, prompting evacuation orders and warnings. The fire was reported around 12:50 p.m. near Jesus Canyon Road and East Avenue Z, close to the Los Angeles-San Bernardino County line. Initially, it burned through eight acres of brush, and at least one structure has been destroyed. An evacuation order has been issued for the area around East Avenue Z and Fort Tejon Road, while evacuation warnings are in place for nearby areas. All children and counselors have been safely evacuated from the AYF Camp located south of the fire's location. Chinook helicopters are actively working into the night. By this evening, large flare-ups occurred, causing heavy brush to ignite while ground crews continued their efforts, and air support was refueled. The fire has extended into the Angeles National Forest and is advancing toward San Bernardino County.
