During the celebration, three individuals were shot and transported to local hospitals; their conditions are unknown. In a separate incident, a fourth victim was shot at South Amalia Avenue and East Hubbard Street. It is unclear if this person was transported to a hospital or pronounced dead at the scene. The gatherings took place after Mexico's team lost to England in the FIFA World Cup. Witnesses at the intersection where the three victims were shot reported that fans had congregated while multiple vehicles were performing donuts in the intersection when shots rang out.
