US: Deer Trapped Inside Florida Home Bolts Through Living Room And Plunges Into Pool.

Florida, United States - August 23, 2026 On Aug. 23, 2026, deputies responded to a private home and found a large buck inside the bathroom. Deputies and residents opened a path toward the sliding doors, using chairs and a pool pole to block other routes and leave the animal with one way out. The buck suddenly bolted across the living room, passed through the sliders and plunged into the backyard pool. It swam across the water, climbed out, then jumped back into the pool once more before leaving the water. Deputies followed the buck along the pool deck toward the trees and asked about a side gate as the animal made its way toward the woods. One deputy said it was the first deer found inside a house in 23 years on the job. The buck eventually escaped through an opening in the fence and returned to the woods. No injuries were reported.
