US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Pedestrian Killed in Collision on Rosedale Highway.

Bakersfield, United States - October 11, 2026 10/10/2026 06:50 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle this evening in the 10500 block of Rosedale Highway near Verdugo Lane. The collision occurred around 6:50 p.m. The pedestrian was crossing Rosedale Highway outside of a designated crosswalk when they were struck. The driver remained at the scene and was later released to leave. Emergency crews later conducted a wash down of the area. All lanes of Rosedale Highway were reopened by 9:00 p.m. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
