VARIOUS OF GIFT PRESENTATIONPANAMA CITY, PANAMA - AUG. 13, 2026: The United States and Panama conducted joint maritime operations as part of PANAMAX 2026, a multinational security exercise held in Panama from Aug. 3-13. The 11-day exercise brought together the US, Panama and 17 partner countries, focusing on the defense of the Panama Canal, regional readiness and cooperation against common threats in the Western Hemisphere. The exercise included maritime and small-boat operations, search-and-seizure training, cyber defense, airborne operations and special operations training. Ships from the US Coast Guard and Panama's naval forces also carried out joint maritime operations during the exercise.
