US: USS Nimitz Launches Flight Operations During Atlantic Deployment.

United States - May 12, 2026 Atlantic Ocean – Sailors conducted flight operations and an air power demonstration on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) on May 12, 2026. The activity took place while the carrier was operating in the Atlantic Ocean as part of its ongoing deployment. The USS Nimitz is deployed under Southern Seas 2026, a mission aimed at improving capability, strengthening interoperability, and reinforcing maritime partnerships with countries across the region.
