United States - May 03, 2026 Atlantic Ocean – Sailors conducted flight operations on the flight deck of the nuclear supercarrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) in the Atlantic Ocean on May 3, 2026. The vessel is one of the U.S. Navy’s nuclear supercarriers and the lead ship of the Nimitz-class aircraft carriers. It is deployed as part of Southern Seas 2026, a mission aimed at enhancing capability, improving interoperability, and strengthening maritime partnerships across the region through joint, multinational, and interagency cooperation and exchanges.
