Iran: US Forces Launch New Wave Of Strikes Across Iran Coastline.

Iran - July 09, 2026 U.S. Central Command forces carried out an additional round of strikes against Iran on July 8 in an effort to further reduce Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping and civilian mariners in the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. forces struck about 90 Iranian military targets, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone storage locations, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure positioned along Iran's coastline. The latest operation came after the successful execution of offensive strikes conducted in Iran the previous night. On July 7, CENTCOM forces hit about 80 Iranian military targets, including more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps small boats. The strikes were carried out to impose heavy costs on Iran for violating the ceasefire by attacking three commercial vessels navigating the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. forces remain vigilant, lethal, and prepared to execute operations directed by the Commander in Chief.
