CLOSE SHOTS OF NAMES OF PALESTINIAN CHILDREN WRITTEN ON SHROUDMILAN, ITALY - JUNE 5: Hundreds of people gathered in Milan on Friday, June 5, for a silent vigil, unveiling a 25-meter symbolic shroud bearing the names of more than 18,000 Palestinian children killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza. The ceremony took place in front of Milan Cathedral, where participants waved Palestinian flags and wore keffiyehs before marching silently toward Sforza Castle in protest against the attacks. Israel's genocide in Gaza since October 2023 has killed nearly 73,000 Palestinians and injured more than 173,000, most of them women and children, according to Palestinian figures. Despite a ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, the Israeli army has killed at least 947 Palestinians and injured 2,935 in near-daily attacks, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
