The NEA's report shows China generated 2 trillion kilowatt-hours of clean energy, about 9 percent more than the same period last year, and accounting for 41.2 percent of the total power. Specifically, wind and solar power generation totaled 1.25 trillion kilowatt hours, up more than 9 percent year on year. The NEA says China generated 2.5 trillion kilowatt-hours of coal powered energy, roughly 49 percent of the total.
