The ministry said that BeiDou positioning has become standard in vehicles, smart wearables, and smartphones, with data showing that in H1 this year, over 98 percent of the 133 million phones shipped in China supported BeiDou. According to an industry white paper released earlier this year, China's satellite navigation industry generated more than 92 billion U.S. dollars last year, a 9 percent increase from the year prior.
