hey guys it's Danny now a couple weeks
0:02
back I shared a video with four
0:05
different chia pudding recipes and you
0:07
guys seemed to really enjoy that so I
0:10
thought it would be fun to come back and
0:12
share four more recipes but this time
0:15
instead of focusing on breakfast we are
0:17
going to turn them into dessert so I'm
0:20
going to be showing you how to make a
0:22
pumpkin pie chia pudding a banana cream
0:26
pie chia pudding a chocolate cream pie
0:29
chia pudding and finally a coconut cream
0:32
pie chia pudding so clearly the theme is
0:36
pie so can I please get a big thumbs up
0:39
if you enjoy pie as much as I do now the
0:42
main difference between a chia pudding
0:44
that I would make for breakfast and a
0:46
chia pudding that I would make for
0:47
dessert is the milk that I use and the
0:50
toppings that I choose when I'm having a
0:53
dessert I like to use the full fat
0:56
coconut milk because it is very rich and
0:58
creamy and decadent which just so
1:00
happens to be the way I enjoy my
1:02
desserts but you could also do something
1:04
like a full fat organic cow's milk if
1:06
that is more your speed basically the
1:08
name of the game is to use something
1:10
that's going to give you that rich
1:12
texture now I'm going to be making
1:14
single servings for each of these
1:15
recipes but by all means feel free to
1:17
scale them up if you're going to be
1:18
serving more if you wanted to meal prep
1:20
them and have them ready for the week
1:22
and my last and final tip before we get
1:24
started make sure if you're using canned
1:27
coconut milk like I am that you mix it
1:29
really well you can do this by just
1:31
shaking the can vigorously or you can
1:34
just pour it into a blender and give it
1:35
a whirl so that it's all well
1:37
incorporated before you get started so
1:39
for recipe number one I'm going to be
1:41
making the pumpkin pie chia pudding now
1:44
if you enjoy pumpkin pie you're going to
1:46
love this recipe cuz it has that same
1:48
creamy custardy texture with that
1:51
delicious pumpkin flavor so I'm going to
1:53
start with a half a cup of the full fat
1:55
coconut milk along with a/4 cup of
1:58
pumpkin puree now you want to make sure
2:01
that you buy the pumpkin puree and not
2:03
the pumpkin pie mix because the pumpkin
2:05
pie mix has a lot of different spices
2:07
and added sugar and that's not what
2:09
we're looking for we just want the clean
2:11
simple plain pumpkin puree then I've got
2:14
one tablespoon of maple syrup and I'm
2:16
going to gently mix this all together
2:19
until everything is well incorporated
2:21
and you see that the color has turned
2:22
into that beautiful burnt orange then
2:25
I'm ready to mix in my chia seeds i'm
2:27
using one tablespoon of chia seeds and
2:29
you can use either black seeds or white
2:31
seeds doesn't matter
2:34
and gently combine that until they're
2:36
mixed all throughout then I like to
2:38
transfer it right into my jar and
2:40
whenever I'm making these little chia
2:42
puddings I like to use these wide mouth
2:45
8 oz mason jar get that in there pop the
2:47
lid on and then this goes in the fridge
2:49
for a minimum of 3 to four hours or
2:52
overnight then when it's ready to serve
2:54
what I like to do is top it with a
2:56
dollop of plain Greek yogurt then I do a
2:59
sprinkle of a low sugar granola this is
3:01
kind of like the crust and just a couple
3:04
dashes of cinnamon how good does that
3:07
look now for option number two I'm doing
3:11
the banana cream pie chia pudding this
3:14
one we're starting exactly the same so
3:16
I've got a half a cup of coconut milk
3:19
and to that I am adding one tablespoon
3:21
of the maple syrup and then 1/4 cup of
3:24
mashed banana now with the banana the
3:28
riper the better so you want your banana
3:30
to be as brown as possible because the
3:32
browner the banana the sweeter it is mix
3:36
that all together and once you've got it
3:37
all incorporated you're going to add in
3:39
one tablespoon of the chia seeds give it
3:41
one more mix to fold those through and
3:44
then transfer this into your mason jar
3:46
pop on the lid and into the fridge it
3:49
goes when I'm ready to eat this one I
3:51
love to top it with a few extra slices
3:53
of banana and just a light dusting of
3:55
cocoa powder i find this one doesn't
3:57
even need any cream on top because the
4:00
bananas in the pudding get really creamy
4:02
and custardike now for my third combo
4:05
we're doing the chocolate cream pie chia
4:08
pudding this one is probably my favorite
4:10
so again we're starting with a half a
4:12
cup of that full fat coconut milk and
4:14
then to that I'm adding 1 tbsp of
4:17
unsweetened cocoa powder along with a
4:19
tablespoon of maple syrup to sweeten it
4:21
up and then we're just going to gently
4:23
mix this together and you just want to
4:24
make sure you get all the clumps and
4:26
that all the chocolate is broken down
4:28
and then I'll add in 2 tablebspoon of
4:31
chia seeds for the other three recipes
4:33
you'll see I'm only using one tablespoon
4:35
but for this recipe it needs that little
4:37
bit of extra thickness so I do the two
4:39
tablespoons gently fold those in
4:42
transfer it into my mason jar pop on the
4:45
lid and into the fridge it goes until
4:47
you're ready to eat it now when it comes
4:49
to topping this one what I love to do is
4:52
you can do another little dollop of the
4:54
Greek yogurt or if you prefer a little
4:56
squish of real whipped cream then I like
4:59
to crumble a graham cracker over the top
5:01
because whenever I have chocolate cream
5:02
pie I always think of a graham cracker
5:04
crust and then if you want a little pop
5:06
of color you could do some fresh
5:08
raspberries or some fresh strawberries m
5:11
to the M this is definitely a family
5:14
favorite and for our fourth and final
5:16
flavor combo we are doing the coconut
5:19
cream pie chia pudding so we've got the
5:21
half a cup of that full fat coconut milk
5:24
going into my cup here and to that I'm
5:26
adding 2 tablespoons of toasted coconut
5:29
now I buy my coconut already toasted but
5:33
you could certainly toast some up
5:34
yourself right in a pan on the stove or
5:37
just use some plain unsweetened shredded
5:39
coconut all three will work perfectly
5:41
fine then I've got a tablespoon of the
5:44
maple syrup and I'm going to mix all of
5:46
those together until they're well
5:48
incorporated and finish it with a
5:50
tablespoon of the chia seeds fold them
5:52
in and transfer this into our mason jar
5:56
you know the routine guys into the
5:58
fridge a minimum of 4 hours and when you
6:00
are ready to eat it top it with whatever
6:03
floats your boat here's what floats mine
6:06
a little extra shredded coconut and just
6:08
a couple of blueberries for a pop of
6:10
flavor and color so now I want to hear
6:13
from you guys what team are you on
6:16
coconut pumpkin banana or chocolate come
6:20
on down to the comments below and let me
6:21
