Inside Trump’s Bitter Feud With Taylor Swift
Sep 7, 2026
US President Donald Trump and global pop star Taylor Swift have had a complicated public relationship for more than a decade.
In 2024, he described Swift as “unusually beautiful” while also questioning her political views. That same year, he shared AI-generated images on Truth Social falsely suggesting Swift and her fans supported his campaign.
After Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, Trump criticized the singer and said she would “probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.” Days later, he made his most direct declaration yet, posting, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” on Truth Social.
The feud continued into 2025, when Trump mocked Swift after she was booed at the Super Bowl and later claimed she was “NO LONGER HOT.” He also compared her with ‘Euphoria’ actress Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican voter, while criticizing Swift’s politics. Sweeney had faced criticism over an American Eagle ad campaign that promoted her “great genes,” with some critics accusing the campaign of promoting racist ideas.
