0:00
hello uh this is Tai by taibs.com and uh
0:06
I'll say several weeks I've not been
0:09
able to share any of my studies
0:14
I started the Book of Genesis but I had
0:19
um as I got to chapter 14 because it's
0:23
an intense book so I chose to put put
0:26
the pause button on Genesis for a little
0:28
bit and then I chose now to study the
0:31
book of First and eventually second
0:35
Thessalonians I believe this is relevant
0:38
to our times this is why I wanted to to
0:41
study that book and last week I gave you
0:45
um synopsis on chapter one but I believe
0:47
there's a few things that I missed so I
0:50
wanted to do this all over again now
0:52
before we start um I'd like to
0:55
introduce this this way I want to do my
0:59
Pledge of Allegiance because again when
1:02
when I talk about scriptures I believe
1:05
this is truly the inspired word of God
1:07
and I pledge my allegiance to the word
1:09
of God because this is a sacred
1:11
scripture okay I'll make it a lamp onto
1:13
my feet and a light onto my path so I
1:17
really think and I know that scripture
1:20
is inspired by God so I do not sit in
1:23
front of you and speak as if I'm
1:24
speaking from the stand point of man
1:27
this is an opinion now this is this is
1:29
not an opinion this is the word of God
1:31
so I'll advise you to take it as such so
1:34
whenever you approach the word of God do
1:36
not try to approach it as if where you
1:39
are trying to dissect it in such a way
1:40
that you think uh let the word of God
1:44
actually dissect you basically this is
1:47
what I'm trying to convey here okay so
1:48
we're gonna study the book of
1:49
Thessalonians and uh I want to give you
1:52
the background to the letter and then
1:53
we're gonna get into chapter one
1:59
Paul created this congregation uh
2:03
in about less than a month because he um
2:06
he established it during his brief stay
2:09
in thessalonica that's in Greece and he
2:11
spent only three sabbaths in that region
2:14
so he was facing persecution from local
2:17
judaizers they wanted to kill Paul so
2:20
they had to leave the city quickly and
2:22
he entrusted the young congregation to
2:25
Timothy and Silas to support and
2:28
encourage them because they were a young
2:30
Church they were a relatively young
2:31
church and Paul every time he went to a
2:33
city he went to synagogue first and then
2:36
when he preached in the synagogues some
2:37
of the local judaizers didn't want to
2:39
hear Paul but the scripture tells us
2:41
that there were a few Greeks there that
2:43
actually wanted to listen to to the word
2:45
of God and God had opened their heart to
2:48
listen to the word of God now the
2:49
Thessalonians were one of those people
2:51
so Paul established that church when he
2:54
had to leave because of the impending
2:55
persecution so he wrote on two letters
2:58
to the Thessalonians to reassure them of
3:01
his continued commitment and to dispel
3:04
any doubts about his apostleships
3:06
because some people were saying that
3:08
Paul left them because he didn't really
3:10
care about them he deserted them and
3:13
some people also accused Paul of
3:15
preaching the gospel for financial gain
3:17
because at that time there were a lot of
3:19
people that were doing that they claimed
3:21
to be religious but it was solely for
3:23
monetary reasons so they told people
3:25
what they wanted to hear and then people
3:27
started spreading rumors about Paul that
3:29
this is why he left them so hastily
3:32
because he didn't really care and all he
3:34
wanted was their money so Paul is going
3:36
to write this letter she's gonna dispel
3:37
these doubt she's also going to
3:41
us a truly committed uh Apostle for this
3:45
to these people because remember God
3:46
when God say it Paul God told him that
3:49
he was going to send him to the Gentiles
3:51
okay so he also is going to address
3:53
several sub topics and and that includes
3:58
uh living righteous lives holy lives and
4:02
he's also going to talk about a few
4:04
things like the second coming of Christ
4:05
and stuff like that in this letter so we
4:08
are going to start by reading chapter
4:10
one and I'm going to try my best to
4:13
explain some of the things that Paul is
4:14
mentioning but it's good to know the
4:16
background first so now let's go to the
4:18
letter so I'm going to start with uh
4:20
I'm gonna read out of the ESV so the
4:24
letter reads This Way Again chapter one
4:26
uh first Thessalonians 1. Paul Silas and
4:31
Timothy to the Church of the
4:33
Thessalonians in God the father and the
4:36
Lord Jesus Christ raised to you and
4:40
we give thanks to God always for all of
4:44
you constantly mentioning you in our
4:47
prayers remembering before our God and
4:50
Father your work of faith and labor of
4:53
love and steadfastness of Hope in our
4:56
Lord Jesus Christ for we know Brothers
4:59
loved by God that he has chosen you
5:02
because our gospel came to you not only
5:06
in word but also in power and in the
5:09
Holy Spirit and with full conviction you
5:12
know what kind of man we proved to be
5:14
among you for your sake and you became
5:17
imitators of us and of the Lord for you
5:20
received the word in much Affliction
5:22
with the joy of the holy spirit so that
5:25
you became an example to all the
5:27
Believers in Macedonia and in a care
5:30
for not only has the word of the Lord
5:32
sounded forth from you in Macedonia and
5:35
Ikea but your faith in God has gone
5:38
forth everywhere so that we need not say
5:41
anything for they themselves report
5:44
concerning us the kind of reception we
5:47
had among you and how you turned to God
5:50
from Idols to serve the living and true
5:53
God and to wait for his son from Heaven
5:56
whom he raised from the dead Jesus who
5:59
delivers us from the Wrath to come again
6:02
this is the word of God take it as such
6:06
okay so verse 1 in verse in verse verse
6:10
1 Paul gives his salutation he tells
6:13
them Paul Silas and Timothy to the
6:15
Church of the Thessalonians in God the
6:17
father and the Lord Jesus Christ grace
6:20
to you and peace so Paul basically
6:23
begins his letter by acknowledging
6:26
Silas and Timothy as co-authors and
6:28
co-workers in this endeavor okay because
6:31
they were the ones who stayed behind to
6:34
support and nurture the young church so
6:37
they came back to Paul with a positive
6:39
report so he was fitting for Paul to
6:41
include them in this um in this
6:44
discourse and he emphasized that the
6:47
gospel is a shared responsibility it's a
6:50
fellowship and it's an expression of
6:52
unity this is why he includes Paul Silas
6:55
and Timothy and he tells them to the
6:58
Church of God to the Church of the
7:00
Thessalonians in God the father and the
7:02
Lord Jesus Christ so basically he
7:05
reminds these Believers that this is a
7:08
in God the Father okay basically the
7:12
church has divine origins it's not a
7:15
church built for man it's not a church
7:17
of man but this is a church in God the
7:20
father and the Lord Jesus Christ
7:22
basically he sent to these Thessalonians
7:24
you belong to God because God himself is
7:28
the one that has built you we are told
7:31
in the book of Hebrews that God is the
7:33
Builder of all things in the sense that
7:35
they have their origin and their
7:38
foundation in God himself so this is
7:40
good for him to remind them of that so
7:42
he he highlights that the church is
7:44
deeply rooted in both the Father and
7:48
Jesus okay and furthermore Paul also
7:51
demonstrates on the hierarchy that
7:54
exists within the godhead by referring
7:56
to the father he refers to the father as
7:58
God and he refers to Jesus as Lord now
8:02
it's important to note that this
8:04
distinction does not imply that Jesus is
8:08
Eternal or equal to God the father in
8:10
the sense that both Jesus and God are
8:13
one okay Jesus is also God but you
8:16
notice that when Jesus and God and and
8:19
the father are mentioned in the same
8:20
sentence the father is referred to as
8:23
God and Jesus Takes the title of of Lord
8:26
okay so again the title Lord is given to
8:30
God so when when the scripture says that
8:32
Jesus is Lord basically the scripture is
8:35
also saying that Jesus is God so Jesus
8:38
is one with the father and the Holy
8:40
Spirit as well so it's a Triune God so
8:42
this hierarchy exists within the godhead
8:44
but Jesus is not any less
8:47
Eternal or equal to God the father in
8:49
the sense that Jesus is also God he's of
8:52
the same Essence it's called essential
8:54
go Eternal and co-equal with the father
8:57
if you don't believe that go back to the
8:59
book of um The Gospel of John this
9:02
scripture says in the beginning was the
9:04
word and the Word was with God and the
9:07
Word was God okay so basically Jesus Is
9:11
God contrary to what the Jehovah
9:13
Witnesses they preach that Jesus is not
9:16
God that he was he created angel that he
9:18
was the highest evangelist that is not
9:20
true if you don't believe it go back to
9:22
Colossians the scripture says that he is
9:24
God okay for all things were made for
9:28
him and by him this is why he is God so
9:32
go back to the book of Colossians and
9:33
you will see Colossians 1 15. okay so
9:36
Jesus again is God and then Paul extends
9:39
the blessings of Grace and peace to the
9:42
Thessalonians invoking that both God the
9:45
father and the Lord Jesus Christ as the
9:47
Divine sources of this gift okay God
9:50
first he extends his grace
9:53
to us this is why we are saved and the
9:56
peace because he has to bridge the gap I
9:58
didn't go searching for Jesus I did not
10:00
go searching for God because the
10:02
scripture tells us that we are born with
10:06
what's the nature the nature of sin in a
10:09
sense that there's none who search God
10:11
there's none which seeks after God so
10:13
when people say they are a seeker of God
10:15
that is not true you don't seek God God
10:18
is the one that does the searching
10:19
because in our nature in our
10:22
original sinful nature we want nothing
10:25
to do with God we actually want to run
10:29
and God is the one that extends his
10:31
grace and then he Bridges the Gap and we
10:33
have peace through Jesus Christ so Paul
10:36
establishes from the get-go uh the the
10:39
essence of the Gospel is God that
10:41
reaches out to us by his grace and then
10:43
he establishes that peace as he draws us
10:46
to himself by applying the blood of
10:49
Jesus Christ and then letting the word
10:50
of God change our heart as the Holy
10:53
Spirit applies it into our ears and we
10:55
hear by faith okay now in verses two and
10:58
three listen to what Paul says here we
11:01
give thanks to God always for all of you
11:05
constantly mentioning you in our prayers
11:09
remembering before our God and Father
11:12
your work of faith and labor of love and
11:15
steadfastness of Hope in our Lord Jesus
11:20
see Paul Silas and Timothy they were
11:23
inspired and uplifted by this young
11:25
Church okay they saw it as a shining
11:28
example of spiritual Vitality okay this
11:32
is what Paul is saying we give thanks to
11:33
God always for all of you because they
11:36
constantly mentioned to God uh
11:40
what this church is doing as far as like
11:42
uh their faith okay listen to this this
11:47
uh this Dynamic congregation it became
11:49
the focus of their prayers because they
11:51
constantly and continually thanked God
11:54
for nurturing such a thriving community
11:56
of Believers because their actions again
11:59
were driven by faith this is essential
12:02
there are actions were driven by faith
12:06
and that confirmed their strong
12:07
foundation in God okay because the
12:11
scripture tells us faith comes by
12:14
hearing and hearing by the word of God
12:15
and the scripture also tells us in the
12:17
book of Hebrews without faith it is
12:20
impossible to please God so there are
12:24
work that they were doing was a result
12:26
of Faith again put on the Book of James
12:28
we we learned that faith without works
12:34
okay so Paul saw this so he was thanking
12:37
God because he remembered listen these
12:40
people are working and their work is
12:42
inspired by their faith and their labor
12:45
was also inspired by the law the love
12:47
that God planted in their heart through
12:50
the holy spirit because the scripture
12:52
tells us in the Book of Romans that God
12:54
has poured his love into our heart by
12:57
the holy spirit that has been given to
12:59
us so they are labor whatever they were
13:01
doing he was inspired by the love of God
13:04
the love of God was in their heart so
13:06
they did the work their labor they were
13:09
laboring as a result of the love of God
13:11
that was dwelling inside of them and the
13:15
third thing is steadfastness of Hope in
13:17
the in the Lord Jesus Christ in the
13:20
hope for what his second coming he's
13:22
coming so they look forward to the
13:25
coming of Christ they weren't just
13:27
stagnant in their faith they weren't
13:28
just stagnant and they're sitting there
13:31
and doing nothing because their faith
13:33
was working okay and the love was also
13:36
an extension of of God's divine
13:39
intervention in their life and then it
13:42
was capped by their steadfastness of
13:45
Hope in the Lord Jesus Christ because
13:46
they were looking forward to the coming
13:48
of Christ so I was reading this book uh
13:51
by wisby is a commentary and I love what
13:54
he said in there he goes uh evidence of
13:56
Salvation faith hope and love those
14:00
three things when they are present in a
14:02
Christian Life in a man's life then you
14:04
know that you've truly been counted
14:07
worthy of the Gospel of God in the sense
14:09
that when you exude faith when you exude
14:13
love when you exude this hope that Paul
14:16
mentions here chances are you are truly
14:19
saved this is why Paul said we give
14:22
thanks to God always for all of you
14:25
because he remembered what they were
14:27
doing because their work was inspired by
14:29
faith and their labor was inspired by
14:32
love and they hope that they exuded was
14:35
surely a sign that they were looking
14:36
toward and they were looking forward to
14:38
the Christ the coming of Christ so Paul
14:41
again there's a profound sense of
14:43
gratitude and admiration for the
14:45
Thessalonian church and that can be seen
14:47
in Paul's eagerness to mention them in
14:49
his prayers he probably went before God
14:52
I said Lord I Thank you so much for you
14:54
what you're doing in this Thessalonians
14:56
because their faith is at work because
14:59
their faith is producing fruit and the
15:02
labor that they're exuding is is coming
15:03
from a place of Love they love one
15:06
another because Jesus tells us if you
15:08
love me you will obey my command if you
15:10
love me you will love one another by
15:12
your love for one another people who
15:14
know that you're my disciples and then
15:15
they have this hope that saying hey I'm
15:18
looking forward to the Christ so when
15:19
those three things are present in a
15:22
man's life Faith Love and Hope then
15:26
surely you are on your way to heaven in
15:28
the sense that you are truly a child of
15:30
God okay so Paul is giving us again a
15:32
blueprint for understanding and
15:34
Discerning whether somebody is truly
15:36
saved or not and he was confident that
15:39
the Thessalonians truly had experienced
15:41
through salvation okay now we go up to
15:44
verses four through five listen to what
15:47
Paul says now he's going to give them
15:48
again a confirmation for we know
15:52
loved by God that he has chosen you
15:55
because our gospel came to you not all
15:59
in word but also in power and in the
16:02
Holy Spirit and with full conviction you
16:05
know what kind of man we proved to be
16:07
among you for your sake see Paul is
16:10
giving again the reason he expresses his
16:12
baptism optimism and enthusiasm for the
16:15
Thessalonians spiritual vitality he's
16:18
saying listen we know Brothers loved by
16:22
see that Divine election that he has
16:25
chosen you first God loves us and as a
16:28
result of God's love for us he chooses
16:30
us because Jesus said somewhere no one
16:33
can come to me unless the father draws
16:36
unless he has been given to him from
16:38
Heaven because we Jesus says you love me
16:42
because I first loved you God extends
16:44
his love to us and then by his holy
16:46
spirit he changes the disposition of our
16:48
heart and then as a result we begin to
16:51
long for the things of God see this is
16:53
what Paul is saying because our gospel
16:55
came to you not only in word because
16:57
when they heard the word it wasn't just
16:59
ah okay this is sound this sounds great
17:01
now also in power and in the Holy Spirit
17:05
and with full conviction so basically
17:07
the gospel when they heard the word of
17:10
God it was power behind it there was
17:12
transformation there was conviction
17:13
there was a turning from sins and the
17:16
Holy Spirit was part of it because the
17:17
Holy Spirit applied it in their lives so
17:20
there was transformation and there was
17:22
conviction and Paul also said you know
17:25
what kind of man you prove to be among
17:27
you for your sake in the sense that even
17:29
when Paul and his companions were
17:30
preaching the gospel
17:32
they lived it out before these people
17:34
for they are sick in the sense that Paul
17:36
didn't just preached the word and just
17:38
that was it no he preached it he lived
17:40
it there was conviction there was power
17:42
the Holy Spirit was at work in Paul's
17:44
life and East Thessalonians could see
17:47
this is why Paul said we know brothers
17:50
that loved by God that he has chosen you
17:52
because when we came there there was
17:55
fruit it wasn't a dead uh preaching of
17:58
the word of God there was evidence of
18:00
transformation there was evidence
18:01
because our lives also testified to it
18:04
because God empowered us supernaturally
18:08
only God could do and we know that he
18:11
has chosen you because he chose to use
18:13
us in your midst for your sake so do you
18:16
see that this is incredible okay again
18:19
the the doctrine of election has caused
18:21
so much so many people to argue
18:24
the bottom line is this no one can come
18:26
to God unless God himself
18:28
draws him I'll leave it as that I'm not
18:32
gonna comment any more on it I'm just
18:34
gonna leave it at that because Jesus
18:35
himself said no one can come to me
18:38
unless the father draws him so he has to
18:43
be a work of God again salvation is a
18:45
work of God from beginning to end this
18:47
is why Paul was so eager to preach the
18:50
gospel he was encouraging them he was
18:52
like really really saying to these
18:54
people I know that guys are God has
18:57
chosen you and listen to what he says in
18:59
verses 6 through 7 and you became
19:02
imitators of us and of the Lord for you
19:04
received the word in much Affliction
19:07
with the joy of the holy spirit so that
19:09
you became an example to all the
19:11
Believers in Macedonia and in her care
19:13
see they saw the example of Paul they
19:16
saw that Paul and his companions were
19:17
being mistreated were being persecuted
19:20
we're being afflicted
19:22
and then the imitated Paul because they
19:25
saw that God was working in their lives
19:28
and the spirit of God also working the
19:30
Thessalonians and they began to say
19:31
listen we've seen the gospel at work in
19:34
Paul in his companion's life we see what
19:36
they are going through we ourselves are
19:38
going through the same thing and we're
19:39
going to imitate their faith and in the
19:41
process they are also imitating Jesus
19:43
Christ see Paul was so clever here okay
19:46
so this young congregation faced a
19:49
significant affliction
19:50
likely from persecution but their fellow
19:53
countrymen because Paul is going to
19:55
mention that in chapter two however they
19:58
remained what steadfast and unwaving in
20:01
their faith under this harsh
20:03
circumstances see they were field policy
20:06
with the joy of the holy spirit because
20:08
the Thessalonians devotion is served as
20:10
an inspiring example to other believers
20:13
in Macedonia and Ikea and Paul he
20:16
masterfully directs the attention back
20:18
to Jesus the chief Shepherd because
20:20
pornography yes you began to do what we
20:23
did and you began to imitate us that's
20:25
not where he stops Paul goes and you
20:28
became imitators of us and of the Lord
20:31
Jesus Christ because the gospel must
20:33
eventually lead people to Jesus Christ
20:36
it doesn't stop at Paul it doesn't stop
20:38
that you and I people have to see Christ
20:41
in us the hope of glory she as Paul
20:44
lived out the gospel as he's been
20:47
empowered by the Holy Spirit to live out
20:48
the gospel in front of these
20:49
Thessalonians they themselves are being
20:52
inspired by the example of the holy
20:54
spirit in Paul's life the spirit of
20:56
Jesus so therefore they are also
20:59
imitating Jesus Christ because it is the
21:01
spirit of God that does all the work
21:03
okay so Paul is saying listen as you do
21:06
this you are fulfilling Your Divine
21:08
Purpose because God is working in your
21:10
midst and now you you're also becoming
21:13
an example to all the Believers in
21:15
Macedonia and I care you see how this
21:18
this whole thing work right Paul goes in
21:20
there he preaches the gospel God's and
21:23
God empowers the preaching of the Gospel
21:25
by Paul as he gives evidence by the
21:29
power of the Holy Spirit present in
21:31
their lives so he gives them boldness
21:33
and that becomes uh a catalyst to the
21:37
Thessalonians themselves they also see
21:39
that and they are being encouraged in
21:42
the midst of their own Affliction their
21:43
also feel the joy of the Holy Spirit and
21:46
now they are also becoming an example to
21:48
other people and the chief Shepherd gets
21:52
the glory because Jesus is the focus of
21:54
all these things see there's a scripture
21:58
that says leave such good lives among
22:00
the pagans that they might see your good
22:02
deeds and glorify your father who's in
22:04
heaven that's kind of what's going on in
22:06
this case with the Thessalonians they
22:08
are such an example okay remember they
22:12
so they defied the status quo so people
22:16
could have been like well they're a
22:17
young Church they're gonna fall this is
22:19
just temporary they're just being
22:21
excited and they just heard the word and
22:24
they are kind of excited but that's
22:25
gonna fade out it didn't happen because
22:27
God was behind it this is why Paul said
22:30
in the beginning the Church of the
22:32
Thessalonians in God the father and the
22:35
Lord Jesus Christ because when God is in
22:36
something things work they are not going
22:39
to fall they are going to stand because
22:41
it doesn't matter how young they are it
22:44
doesn't matter that they are just three
22:46
weeks old they are going to thrive
22:48
because the spirit of God is in their
22:50
midst and is the spirit of God is
22:52
working in them see through success does
22:55
not come from the strength of man or
22:57
wisdom of man or might of man but only
23:00
through the spirit of God and this is
23:04
why Paul was so filled with joy when he
23:07
mentioned them before his before God
23:09
because he remembers that everything
23:11
that these people are doing
23:13
is divinely inspired through the Holy
23:15
Spirit and listen to what he says in
23:17
verses 8 through 10 for not only has the
23:21
word of the Lord sounded far from you in
23:23
Macedonia in our care but your faith in
23:29
everywhere so that we're not we need not
23:31
to say anything for they themselves
23:33
report concerning us the kind of
23:36
reception we had among you and how you
23:38
turned to God from Idols to serve the
23:41
living and true God and to wait for his
23:44
son from Heaven whom he raised from the
23:46
dead Jesus who delivers us from the
23:49
Wrath to come see in verses 8 through 10
23:52
Paul continues to praise to praise the
23:55
Thessalonian church for the impact
23:56
they've had on the congregations like
24:00
other congregations they are not just
24:01
being local now everybody is talking
24:03
about this church because they are
24:04
thriving under severe persecution and
24:07
affliction but God is in their midst and
24:09
God is working so they are influence
24:11
extended beyond their local region okay
24:14
he was spreading far and wide and you
24:16
support Paul's earlier assertion that
24:19
the gospel preached in thessalonica
24:23
came in not only in word but in what
24:25
power and a demonstration of the Holy
24:28
Spirit work this proves what Paul was
24:30
saying earlier that listen God is in
24:32
your midst I'm so convinced of this
24:35
because I see the work of God in your
24:37
midst I see that your your faith is
24:39
bearing fruit I see that your labor is
24:41
inspired by love and I also see that you
24:44
have this hope looking forward to the
24:48
so because despite the fact that they
24:50
were inexperienced and youth and
24:52
Youthful the Thessalonians embraced on
24:55
the spirit's guidance and became a
24:56
Cornerstone Church influencing others as
24:59
news spread about the grace of God
25:01
within them and the resulting transfer
25:04
transformative work okay because it was
25:06
working so again how do we know this the
25:10
abandoned idolatry they're abandoned
25:13
they are pagan worship they are
25:15
abandoned the former things that they
25:16
were doing and now they fully embraced
25:18
the only one true God Jesus said
25:20
somewhere salvation is of the Jews okay
25:23
so they embraced it so they did away and
25:26
they completely forsook whatever they
25:28
used to do before and they embraced the
25:31
truly living God so basically he tells
25:34
them they are looking forward to the
25:36
coming of Christ because they know that
25:37
they're going to escape the wrath to
25:40
come now talking about the wrath of God
25:43
a lot of people don't want to talk about
25:46
because they all only want to focus on
25:49
the love of God see God loved that's why
25:52
he has to pour His Wrath because you
25:55
cannot love good and just do nothing
25:58
so the wrath of God is coming it's
26:00
actually already here because God has
26:03
given people up to the desires to the
26:05
desires of the Flesh and to their own
26:07
perverted desires you can see what's
26:09
going on now with the pride movement the
26:12
work movement the nonsense that we see
26:15
this is the work of God saying okay you
26:17
want this have at it I'll give I'll give
26:20
you up to your own depraved desires and
26:24
you can see an explosion of Madness
26:27
an explosion of what evil everywhere
26:31
because the demons have been Unchained
26:33
and there's there's almost like this
26:35
demon invasion in the sense that people
26:37
are just being doing
26:39
viral things that you won't even imagine
26:42
like all it took is like five or ten
26:44
years like I remember when I first came
26:46
to this country things weren't were not
26:48
as bad as they are now like right now
26:50
it's crazy I mean the the violence I
26:53
mean the crazy things that you see
26:56
so the wrath of God is coming and Paul
26:58
is saying in Thessalonians I'm so glad
27:00
that you've received Jesus Christ as not
27:02
only your your savior but your lord and
27:05
your lives have changed and as it's been
27:08
evidenced by your faith that is working
27:10
you're bearing fruit your labor of love
27:13
and your steadfastness of Hope in your
27:16
in the Lord Jesus Christ and you know
27:18
that you're going to escape is the wrath
27:20
of God that's coming because you are now
27:21
a new creature in Jesus Christ so to all
27:24
of you who are listening if the word if
27:26
if if the spirit of God is speaking to
27:28
you now please repent and believe the
27:32
repent and believe the gospel that's all
27:36
we have there is nothing else before
27:38
there's no other name in heaven whereby
27:40
men shall be saved by the name of Jesus
27:43
so repent and believe the gospel and
27:44
bear fruit because without the fruit of
27:46
the spirit without your labor of love
27:48
without your steadfastness of Hope in
27:51
your lord Jesus Christ I doubt that you
27:53
actually know Jesus so the wrath of God
27:55
is real and he's coming
28:00
I'll see you next time for chapter two
