and religion. Christianity and religion. I will encourage as many as are in the church and your friends who can

subscribe to our YouTube channel. is very important because we are shifting our live our live um services to YouTube

instead of Facebook for reasons that for now Facebook is demanding the videos we

put on there. We have to purchase um an

agreement. We have to purchase an agreement that um allow us to pay a

monthly charge for them to retain the video on it. And I felt it will be a

strain on the church this time. Maybe in the future we can afford but to make sure that we plan well because we've

we've tabled a lot of great things want to do this year. And so we are putting all our monies together to change the

church once and for all that we don't have to worry about certain repetitions. So we are busy myself and the leaders of

the church we are busy planning and looking for resources and stuff to put together to transform the ministry

permanently. And so we have to stop anything that will waste our money. Amen. And so we beg you bear with us and

to compel us to be able to buy rental space. You know, they have invested

money into their servers. So, they must sell to make their money. We respect their decision. We are not challenging

them. They own it. We don't own it. Hallelujah. And um they are not begging us to stay either. There are billions of

better people there. And so we need to put that where we can afford to at this time so the gospel can still reach the

masses. Let's give a clap offering unto God for alternatives.

Amen. For alternatives we can rely on in difficult times like these. Are you

ready church of God? Are you ready? I want to speak today on Christianity and

religion. Tell somebody Christianity and religion. So what are

the two? Number one, the first I want to talk about is religion. When we say something is a a taxoni or a taxon it is

talking about a grouping um a grouping a classification. So religion is a classification of sets of social

practices. A category concept whose paradmic

Christian is a way of a way of life that a child of God. Somebody who claims he has been born of God must live. Christ

is the example and his nature and status is the ultimate goal. When we come to

Christianity, Jesus Christ is our example. No set of rules but Jesus Christ. He's our example. He's the one

we are supposed to attain, become like, and walk in his stature. He is the ultimate goal. Your

goal is not to be like Pastor David. And I've said this a thousand times. I don't need anybody to be like me, dress like

me, walk under my anointing. I need you to imitate and be like Christ. It is not

too hard. If I can try my best to attain that, you also can do it. Amen. Are you

with me, church? Christianity has a definite part, a prescribed example. It

demands a lifelong pursuit. Jesus Christ is the culture of

Christianity. Hello. So there's no such thing as media. I belong to this denomination. We

are like this. This is our culture and customs. We are wrong. Anytime we do those things, we are wrong. We are not

professing following Christ. Now I need you to remember that the people who were

first named Christians were the followers of Jesus Christ the apostles. The people who observed them and coined

the name Christianity for them did not coin the name for them out of fun. But

the word Christianity as people that look act and behave like Jesus Christ. That's the meaning of the word

Christianity. The word Christianity means a people who look like, who walk

like and behave like Christ Jesus. And so it is not a culture of

media me orthodox Christian 7th adventist

Christian so and so Christian. So God has no place for the divisions we have

in our ourselves. God has no place for the pride we hold by saying

Sorry, God has no joy. God has no place of identity in any of those things. But

where God has an identity is for men to walk after the stature and nature of his

only begotten son who is Jesus Christ. Ladies and gentlemen, are you

following me please? And so we need to understand from the book of John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the

way and I am the truth and the life." Let me go back and

read it again. Jesus is saying that I am the way to God. If anyone wants to go to

God, he need to exemplify my way. He needs to walk in my ways of walking on

earth to get to God. Christ said, "I am the truth. truth. I'm not the alternative. I am the truth. I'm the

only only only I'm the only path one should pursue, not multiple paths. You see

those who believe in religion say that there are multiple paths to

God. Do you understand what I'm saying? But that is not Christianity. Christianity hasn't got multiple options

to God. It has only one way. Christ is the truth. His word is

the only prescribed thing that is worth comparing, learning, studying and

absorbing. And the life of Christ is our example. Says no man will go to the

father except through me or except by this example.

We are called to copy and develop into the stature and nature of Jesus Christ.

The book of Matthew 10:24-25 says disciple is not above his

master. Hallelujah. Some years ago there was this craze and

it's still there that so many people go about trying to become more than Jesus Christ. Either they want to prove to the

world they are more anointed, more powerful. They are doing more miracles than even Jesus Christ. They want the

world to notice them for the power they carry, for the ability to see things and prophesy. That is not our purpose as

pastors. If you believe God has sent you, that is not your purpose. Your purpose is not even to draw attention to

yourself. Your purpose is to draw attention to Christ. If any man must have faith in Christ, if anyone must

develop in Christ, they must trust the one you have followed. Let me clearly put it this way. I employ

you into my company and then you come and you take the starlight of the company. You want everybody and anybody

outside and inside to know that it is you who's making the company tick. Can two captains run a

ship. We have only been chosen as shepherds to walk in the state of Christ

when he's not here. The flock do not belong to us. They are not our property. They are not to be manipulated,

controlled, milk, butchered for our comfort. The society sees these things

as normal because of repeated abuse and repeated wrong that is being done all

the time. Every soul in your church has Christ in him. And so if you

having been hired by Christ can abuse can can take advantage to destroy the

person's calling in life then you are the person Jesus

spokes about spoke about about the par the the paradoxy of the kingdom or the

parable of the kingdom. He said a man of a certain man had a mighty kingdom and he committed into the hands of people.

Then he came and said let us go. I've thrown a party of it. Let's go and enjoy. He said, "I'm busy. I'm doing this. I'm doing that." Then he sent his

servants. He said, "We don't have time." He sent another group of people to come and tell him, "Come and dine with me. Come closer to me. Come and let's work

together. Come." They they beat the servants and treated them badly. Then he sent his only begotten son. Said, "If

they see my son, they'll respect him." As of my son, he has my copy in them. And so I know when they see my son, they

will respect. And they said, "When they saw the son,

That's how it looks like. Anytime we enter into ministry or we start acting like this, we give the impression that

we are trying to be smarter than Christ himself. Are you here? Jesus whilst he walked the face of this earth drew

attention to the father. Every message was to tell people about how God is a

loving God. Though he was the one going to the cross to die for us. He did not play the attention game on himself. Then

he said to whosoever shall honor me has honored the father. Are you understanding me? So whoever is on the field working it is not in your place to

recognize yourself to build fame for yourself to attain this kind of status

for yourself but to focus on him who sent you and to draw men to follow him

definitely. I'm coming to something. Just be patient. I'm coming to something. This is not one of those

sermons. I am teaching something relevant for generations to come.

If there's anything we are called to do in the kingdom of God, exceptionally above anything is to be like Jesus

Christ. A lifelong pursuit to be able to walk in his examples, to act like him,

to be like him, and to serve like him as he served on the face of this

earth. So the Bible says it is enough. Tell somebody is enough. Do you know what is called

enough? When we say something is enough, it means that there's no room for increase. There's no room for ability to

keep, no room to attain anything else. So he's saying that the greatest thing you can ever do is to be like your

master Jesus Christ. How many of you believe that Jesus Christ is our master? How many of you believe that? The day you said I I take him as my Lord,

Savior, and Master, you declare that he's your master. In case you don't know, the day you confess Jesus Christ

as Lord and personal savior, he became your master. So there is no place in your

life where you should be more relevant than him. Are you understanding what I'm trying to

say? There is no place where we should let people build

faith. You know, it has gotten to a time in this ministry when people have

problems unless they cannot solve that they come to me. You find these same people when they

have problems, they will stand and pray on their own. They will stand and think through their

problems. That doesn't mean that I'm not of importance to them. That doesn't mean that I am useless to them. But

consistently, I draw their attention to identify relationship with Jesus Christ. Because if you know me and you follow me

and you love me but do not know Jesus, how will you survive when I pass

away to glory one day? No man lives forever. In case you don't know, none of us sitting here will live till Jesus

comes. If Jesus is to wait another 1,000 or 5,000 years, I'm still waiting for

the next matusalah to come. Are you understanding what I'm trying to say? And so it is enough for every

disciple to attain the stature of his master. And the servant his perfect place is to be like

his lord. If they have called the master of the house beazab, how much more shall

they call them of his household? So he goes on to show an example that if truly

you want to become like me, expect the world not to accept you. Expect the world not to easily

follow you. Accept the world to judge you. Accept the world to abuse you like it abused me when I was among

them. Hello? Are you with me, church?

So we've been called to copy Christ for a reason so that we look like his

sheep. The Bible says in the end of the day he will separate the sheep from the goat. Those who are not sheep are

identified by their likeness of not being sheep. Christ was called the lamp of God

who was taken to the slaughter. And he's raising fellow lamps. He's not raising goats. He's not

raising boa goats. He's not raising and goat goats. He's not

raising cows. He's not raising lions. He's raising flock for his father. And

he has appointed leaders of the church for this cause. And so anytime we try to run our

churches like the way the world runs its though we might see instant and good results we are destroying the

fundamentals principle fundamental principles that build

Christianity. Pay attention to me. This is a diagram of the world's

religions. Each one of these religions claim a path to

enlightenment or to success. and to some of them a path to lead to

God outside Jesus Christ. Are you with

me? So the Buddhist believes that if you are perfect, you don't sin, you do more

prayer, you do good things in life, when you die, you can be born as a tree or

something good. If you do evil, especially the things that you hated the worst, you die, you come back on this

earth and you come back what you hated. That is if you were cruel to animals, you come back as an animal to suffer the

same faith. And so a lot of these religions

have their own form of belief and what they think is, but we are not the same.

We are not the same with them. Those who practice voodoo voodoo they

claim all of these religions claim there's a creator ah even some declare that he has

a son called Jesus Christ but none of them goes through Jesus so there's no similarity grouping

us together as a similarity defeats the purpose of the description so Christianity isn't like

them in Christianity We don't do enchantments. We don't cast

charms. We don't put we don't put impositions. We don't employ dark

arts. So you see that there are a lot of religions of the world. Christianity is not one of them. But every time they

draw this up, they add Christianity to it.

In fact, this an actual diagram of the most established ones. I guess it talks about orthodoxy. It talks about

Judaism. And the way he draws it, each one stands

somewhere. When it comes to Catholicism, it comes to Buddhaism. And charismatism is not

there. Are you with me? And I'm grateful we are not there because it's not a

religion. Christianity isn't a religion. I don't know about the rest if they accept it.

Christianity is not a religion. Let me try and explain further. Let's look at the

differences. Religion prescribes many ways to God. Many ways, not one

way. Christianity says there's only one true definition of God. God is not a

numerous path. He's one path. is one way. Christianity defines or a relationship between God

and man and his environment. The Bible says God so loved us, he gave his only begotten

son. God expects us to also love our fellow men and to keep and dress or to

do good to everything he has created on the face of this earth. Religion has many gods, many

different gods. Many. Each one's God is perfect and sufficient. Though they

acknowledge as a greater God, they don't teach a way to that God. A lot of them don't teach a way to that

God. But in Christianity, we have a God who attain atones for our

sin. In religion, you have to atone for your own sin.

If you did something wrong, you must pay the price for it or you must bring someone's blood or some goat's blood or

some sheep's blood to pay for

it. There was a video I was watching on on social media. I shared with some of you and in that video there was this

young lady who is now a pastor who earlier was into prostitution and she

was teaching how they get people to really give them money that reposition

itself doesn't bring money what really brings money is the charms and the things that doctors do for them that's

when people buy houses for them people buy cars for them so if you think there's money position you want to join.

It's not that way. They will use you and throw you away. Said they will both they will go with the girl. So one girl the

only time they go that the same customer would want to give that person a house. What do you So he asked said what have

you done that we have not done? What are do you do in the room that we do not do? We want to know. So are you sure you

want to know? They introduce her to a witch doctor who charm for her. He says when they started those things it looked

like the smoothest way to life. success was coming like wow. One customer can

empty your accounts and give you one customer could go and buy a house that he has probably built for his children and put your name under it without

thinking twice. So this the thing started he was enjoying then he started realizing that

at every stage there's a demand for what sacrifices because now you're used to that life when things begin to go south

you have to go back to the witch doctor every now and then when you go the sacrifice is steeper so they can tell

her go and get pregnant when your child is 8 months go and abort it and bring the child they will chop the body and

they'll take it to an altar so it got to a time that her spirit was just tired

though the money was coming her spirit was tired tired of all the wickedness and evil she has done on this world just

to have money to eat. In the beginning, it looks as if you are strong-hearted. You are bold. But the price itself is

too costly to own anything. But in Christianity, we don't need we don't need to be shedding our own blood and

killing our brothers and sisters to be able to atone for our sin. Christ has gone to the cross once and for all for

our sins past our sins present and the sins we'll commit in the

future. So the Bible says that Christ says that my yoke is is light and my

burden is not heavy. You don't come into Christianity and all your life is about. You see this

why I'm I'm coming to something. Let me not jump the the gun. I'm coming to something very important in Christianity. So our God atones for our

sins himself. Religion antagonizes each

other. Anybody who is not in that path is either lost, either an enemy, an

infidel, or somebody who probably deserves all the evil you can do to

them. In Christianity, the world is God's love.

You don't touch the world. Listen to me carefully. The reason why we don't judge in Christianity, we don't judge anybody

in Christianity. The reason we have no place in our life to lift our mouth and judge anybody in Christianity is because

the world itself was the one that God died for. Are you understanding what I'm trying to say? He didn't die for

Christians. He died for the world. all the time he has waited to come back.

He's waiting for the world to find him and to come back. And so in Christian, this is why we give money for

evangelism. This is why when there's a crusade, we give all we have. We sacrifice to make sure this good news

reaches the world that they may came they may they may come to their Messiah and deliverer who is Jesus

Christ. So in Christianity, if you're holier than me, it's up to your own business. You keep it to your nose. It

doesn't move from your mouth to another person's mouth because our business is to show

people who this Messiah is and that irrespective of your past, irrespective

of the sins you have committed, he has arms open for you to keep coming and

coming. So if you get up and say

then you are not a Christian. Jesus said two men were a man was traveling and he

was

fell. So in Christianity when we help people we don't look for a way to rub it in over and over. Christianity is very

different than other religions. I need to be able to paint that picture clearly for

you. We are better. the

people. Amen. And amen. Amen. Are you with me, church? They

decide on their own that this is the path that is good for us. I want to walk

it. Other religions requires penance and pursuit. If I do something wrong, I must

keep begging and begging and begging and doing things so that the gods or the

idols or anything that I worship will find a way to let it

go. In Christianity, if only we confess our sins, we will forever find him faithful

and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us of, it didn't say some of all

unrighteousness. There's a big difference between religion and

Christianity. In Christianity, God offers us elevation to godliness.

God doesn't want us to remain servants. He offer us a way through Jesus Christ

so we become just like him a god because he's looking for a friendship relationship and not a master servant

relationship. Are you understanding what I'm trying to say? Everyone of you seated here there's a place in authority

God wants you to get a place whereby you are God in your own way on earth.

Because you see monkeys play by sizes. You never meet a very small monkey

playing with a gorilla. One will kill the other. And

so religion adopts love as a bonding tool. They show love so that they can

identify with you. They show love. Huh? They try and show love to you so

you can identify with them. In Christianity, love is all we do. We do

nothing but love. There's a difference. Listen. In Christianity, love must lead

every action we take. We walk in true love. And without

love, without love, nothing we do is worthwhile in

Christianity. So the Bible says, "If I cut off my

body, if I serve my body to the poor, if I give all my wealth but have no love in

me, all I do is witness." There is a difference between

Christianity and world religions. The leaders in Christianity

are not supposed to be set higher than Christ.

H there are certain religions even you've mentioned their leader's name you must add blessings to that name before you can talk

further but if you mention God's name you can talk after but the

leader or you mention his name you must add praises and blessings to that name

before you can continue but if you mention the god who created that leader's name you can

continue see the big difference in religion Religion exalts a man above God.

Christianity doesn't exalt a man above God. There are certain religions their

leader name alone if you are not careful they can kill you over it. They can't kill you over their God's

name but they can kill you over their leader name. I wonder who made that leader what

he is except God. Me ask my question.

So in religion leaders are idolized. And

so when you come into Christianity and you a pastor, you a priest, you a prophet, whatever it is, and you allow

yourself to be idolized, you have made a choice to leave the family of God into a

religion of your own and are going to eventually mislead

many into darkness. permit me to read this scripture to you

in the book of Ephesians and I'm reading from the verses 11 to the Bible said he gave some that

Bible said Jesus died resurrected and went to heaven and then he dispersed gifts ah gifts he said the purpose of

these gifts he began to explain why the Bible said he gave some to become apostles and some to become prophets and

some evangelists and some pastors and teachers and the purpose why he did this

in the verse 12 obviously for the perfecting of the saints. Are you there?

It's not for the dependency of the saints to be dependent on the gifts but so that through the gifts the saints

will look for it up in addition that's the word edify means and so it is for the training of

the body of Christ or the teaching of the body of Christ till every one of us

come into the unity of the faith. So we are not called to have

multiple duplicity identified faith but we are all called

to come into one unity of the faith in Christ Jesus and to have the knowledge of the

son of God. There are there are millions of

Christians walking around millions of Christians walking around believing that there is a God in heaven. He has a son

who Jesus Christ, but they have no relationship with God and Jesus Christ. They have a stronger relationship with

their church. They have a stronger relationship with their pastor or their leader, but they have no relationship

with God because religion removes God and plays man as a

more solid hope of assurance than God in heaven.

And the Bible says for the knowledge of the son of God and unto a perfect man, not only being unified in faith,

but to have depth of knowledge of who Jesus Christ is and to attain our

perfection as a perfect man in what manner? In the stature, in the measure

of the stature and the fullness of Christ. Listen, if you're a prophet, if you're a

teacher, if you're an evangelist, if you're a pastor, the essence of your work is that

the people who you are doing this work with must come to that place where they are now behaving, acting and walking

like Jesus Christ. Am I making sense to somebody?

So for he said that we henceforth be no more

children who are tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of

doctrine by the slight of men and cunning craftiness whereby they lie in

weight to deceive. but speaking the truth in love,

we may grow up into him, Christ Jesus, in all things which is the

head, even Christ. Let me continue again and say

this. Let's leave world religions aside. Let us look at what Christianity demands. Uh Christianity demands

something. First, prayer is not

Christianity. There are 90% of people go from prayer on Monday to Friday or

Monday to Sunday night and all they do is pray more than

even study the word of God. In their head, they are closer to God than everybody. in their

belief. This kind of mentality whereby there is prayer on

demand. We go to church, go for a prayer meeting, go for a prayer come, we give,

we sold, we came home, we think because we spend the whole day in a church praying, we have never committed a sin.

We have never wronged anybody, but we are more perfect as a Christian.

So some time ago some people would go for a prayer retreat and not go to church on a Sunday because going to

church on a Sunday to hear the word was useless. But having prayed, having seen somebody

slain under the Holy Ghost, having seen the prophet see somebody's future and speak there was proof that God was

there. And that was all because churches are turning into

religion and churches are crafting and coining a type of Christianity outside

what Jesus Christ described. Beloved, Jesus Christ never never ever

in his work here on earth advocated for group prayer meetings. I'm not saying group prayer meetings is bad. That's not

what I said. But if his example is anything to walk by as Bible has been telling us

Jesus prayed a lot Jesus but he slept also. The Bible said early in the

morning you will find him praying. The Bible didn't say 12 midnight. He said early in the morning

you will find Jesus praying. People have misqued that word said you must not sleep after 12 not sleep are you no are

you a witch? Is it witchcraft we are practicing in Christianity now? I want to

know but Jesus slept but he woke up. The apostles will go and sleep with him but

before they will get up to go and they will see him [Music]

praying and they saw that as a constant behavior. I thought him being God will wake up the apostle say let's go and

pray I hope I'm teaching some sense to somebody. I'm hoping that him being God himself knowing what is right for man to

do on this earth leaving examples for us to copy wake when I married my wife and I'll be

praying and I said why don't you wake me and pray I said that is not my business you are supposed to pray on your own

she's like I know some men because their wife can't wake up and pray with them the

marriage will collapse people have demonized prayer

that is the way The system is is difficult to even teach the truth. Jesus prayed all the time. The

apostles went realized being there left out then ask him teach us to pray like you pray cuz what is happening? We are not able to

cope. We will go and sleep again and wake up 6:00 a.m. you are still praying. What is the secret? What are you praying

about? But Jesus never g apostles. Let's go and pray. Let's go and let's go and pray. Let's go and pray.

radio. You a joker. You're a big joker. The mere fact that you are praying at

midnight doesn't mean that God knows you more than somebody's not praying at midnight. The quality of our

Christianity is not dependent on prayer. Prayer is a self-developing thing. It's meant for you. There's a reason why I

don't enjoy group prayer. I don't hate it, but I don't enjoy it because I prefer praying on my own. I prefer going

to God letting him know my matter instead of coming and pastor say

let's pray about this topic then give me four five minutes to pray about my topic I need to go to God and soak in his

presence let him know what my concerns are cry before him ask him for help

Identify a relationship where me alone and him are if you build a very strong personal

relationship with God when you get to anywhere the spirit of God is not there you identify easily and walk away but if

you keep building a situation whereby you find safety in the crowd. H this car

cannot be wrong. Let me join them. You will sooner or later realize that you have been standing in the wrong place all your life, all your

years. And so many people now have prayer marathons, services and and they

assume that that is Christianity. Christianity demands a personal development above group development and

group identity. We are called not to make miss a church service. Huh? Bible says do not miss a

church service. Many of you you pray from Monday to Sunday on all nights and

stuff with other people online and your own churches. You have no love for that work there because you think you have already because you saw somebody

testifying and and I prayed this weekend and the man of God said this and this

happened. I heard from somebody's mouth that

was

pray. You know her. You know her.

You see when you we do these things we as pastors think that we are helping you but in reality we are destroying you

when our focus is meant on gatherings alone and prayer alone and and No word

is taught, no relevance of development and growth is

made. Christianity is not prophetic meetings. A lot of Christians eh they

only want to go for prophetic meeting when they go prophet coming 24

night prophetic fire on the mountain of

God Sunday worship.

They will use an excuse to explain themsel for waste of time.

You are Rebecca. You know Rebecca said they are crying. Oh man, you have

sinned. You have seen that day they will empty their

whole pockets. Their love of God will show you are not a Christian. You're not a believer. You're a

joke. Do you know that devils also see? You think

Christian somebody can mention your name, call where you are coming from, your house, your

home, don't joke. Don't

joke. Don't make your life all about prophecy. That kind of prophetic meeting

craze. We must tone it down a notch. There's a place for prophecy. There's a place for the word. There's a place for

evangelistic word. There's a place for service. There's a place for every sacrament Christ has established on the

face of this earth. Christianity is not a show of power demonstration.

I want to share something. Someone told me something. Why don't you kill all the witches in my home for me? Somebody who I was consulting and

praying with

pastor but there are some things you yourself you had no enemies. You won't

develop point blank trying to say or say though you were son you are placed under teachers

and governors until the time is due for you to be to

rule. The only way to learn is to be

taught. God has wisdom.

Are you understanding where I'm coming from? You shouldn't walk your life being afraid of these things. You should walk

in your life understanding the word and knowing

talking about it's okay? It's okay. Christian has be hip otherwise I can't identify. No, you have to stop being hip

so Christ can identify with you. It's the other way around.

Matthew 9:16 17 says, "No man puts a new piece of cloth onto an old garment."

For that which is put to fill up taketh from the garment and rent is made

worseer. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles. Else the bottles will

burst or break and the wine will be poured out. The bottles will perish, but

they put new wine into new wine bottles and both are

preserved. That's why the Bible says, "Be renewed." Be renewed. That's what be

gospel of Jesus Christ. So I am begging believers and Christians

who have come to know God, let Jesus be your example. Let him be sufficient for you.
