Every time you say yes to everything, you may be saying no to yourself.
Burnout often doesn’t happen overnight. It builds slowly through overcommitting, people-pleasing, emotional exhaustion, and feeling responsible for everyone else’s needs while ignoring your own.
For many people, saying “no” can feel uncomfortable, guilt-inducing, or even unsafe. But constantly abandoning your own limits eventually comes at a cost mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Healthy boundaries aren’t selfish. They’re necessary for sustainable relationships, healing, and well-being.
