Sheera or suji ka halva is made with different recipes where more than one vessel is used. In this recipe, we use only one kadhai/pan to make shira. In India, Sheera is served as breakfast or festival sweet or dessert. It is a traditional recipe that can be made in a jiffy with the ingredients readily available in most kitchens. Shira is known by different names in Indian states. Shira/sheera in Maharashtra and Gujarat, Kesari bhaath in Karnataka, Rava kesari in Tamil Nadu, where orange edible food color is added to sheera. It is also known as Suji/sooji ka halwa in Hindi speaking states. There are some slight variations in preparations too. Milk may be added instead of water to add to the richness of taste. Here is Sheera / Sooji halwa recipe. _______________________________________________________ Ingredients for One pot rava sheera recipe. Suji ka halwa. Sihi sajjige. Goda sanja. Sweet semolina pudding. _________________________________________________________________ Rava/suji/semolina - 1 cup, you may use upma rava/bombay rava or fine rava/chiroti rava as per your liking. Sugar - 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp, more or less according to taste. Ghee - 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup, more or less according to taste. I am using homemade cow ghee. Cashew nut pieces - 1 tbsp Raisins - 1 tbsp Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp Water - 2 1/2 cups
