Migrants remained in makeshift shelters along Ceuta's shoreline on Sunday, pleading with Spanish authorities for formal accommodation and asylum after arriving from neighbouring Morocco. Footage from Sidi Embarek showed people sleeping and eating in shelters made from reeds, plastic sheeting and discarded materials, while others queued for aid under police supervision. Migrants described difficult conditions, including exposure to heat and cold, limited access to food and washing facilities, and drinking dirty water. One migrant, Adnan Menfas, said he had spent six hours swimming from Morocco before reaching Ceuta and appealed to Spain to grant asylum.
