0:03
there are people who are standing right
0:05
in front of you but it may be oblivious
0:09
and you don't even understand their
0:12
value you're not aware of their
0:15
contributions you're not aware of their
0:17
movement when you study this young lady
0:19
that we have on our show today you will
0:21
realize that she' been pounding this
0:23
pavement for quite some time Heather be
0:26
yes we were talking about media's
0:27
homecoming give her a round of applause
0:29
for that
0:30
W show up a black lady comedy black lady
0:34
sketch show definely give her a big
0:36
round Applause for that that was
0:38
revolutionary right there shout out to
0:39
Robin and the crew yes sir she played
0:42
one of the most revered vocalists of all
0:45
time Whitney Houston and the Bobby Brown
0:47
story give
0:48
her Whitney she moving different a
0:52
citizen a sway in the morning she
0:54
co-starred opposite of him Morris
0:55
Chestnut and Rosewood give her a round
0:58
of applause for that come on baby come
1:01
on
1:03
baby he's good he's bad he'll kick your
1:07
ass
1:10
he's SWAT I was the music you knew it we
1:14
not every these guys they weren't born
1:16
it's all good you could have caught her
1:18
in swat as well ladies and
1:21
gentlemen one of the ones that really
1:24
put it on the map is the one we've been
1:25
talking about
1:26
today my good friend Wendy Rael who
1:30
trained my daughter how to be a thespian
1:33
and her uh acting Collective um AGC
1:38
amazing grace Amazing Grace
1:40
Conservatory she starting out with my
1:43
good friend Pooch Hall Pooch put pooch
1:45
in a
1:47
triangle yes she did she was in the game
1:50
too come on man I could go on and on but
1:54
the one we going to talk about today is
1:56
called the big door prize as she plays
1:58
Cass but the other one I I I'll be
2:01
remiss if I didn't mention cuz she
2:04
co-starred with
2:06
us that's
2:12
right that's right she she was our co-
2:14
star yeah y y'all yes you know it was
2:18
your show that was our show you better
2:20
tell them swag the one and only Luke
2:22
Cage come
2:25
on please welcome the one and only
2:27
Gabrielle Dennis to the show yeah
2:32
welcome welcome welcome The Vibes The
2:35
Vibes the love appreciate it well I
2:38
think we want to make sure that you
2:40
recognize that's why we do this here you
2:42
know we bumped into you yesterday in the
2:44
lobby and none of us could figure out
2:45
why Gabrielle isn't on this show and so
2:48
we made that turn around but you know
2:50
it's uh it's something to be said uh it
2:53
takes a lot of commitment a lot of
2:55
dedication a lot of belief it takes a
2:58
lot of confidence to do what you do
3:01
right and a lot of times people may not
3:03
get recognized for it but your
3:06
consistency um to me is what speaks out
3:08
loud your consistency over these years
3:11
over these decades so I want to say
3:13
congratulations to you and you've chosen
3:16
well that's why we picked that clip
3:19
about the type of work uh you choose and
3:21
type of work you do and the kind of
3:23
energy you put in it um what that clip
3:26
said to me is you must have integrity
3:28
you know you've been able to maintain
3:30
that throughout your career so welcome
3:31
to the show and congratulations I
3:33
apprciate that man I feel seen thank you
3:37
very sweet thank you I mean just from
3:39
bumping it to have to be yesterday in
3:40
the lobby making this turn around so
3:43
quickly this beautiful introduction like
3:45
you're right the consistency the
3:46
Integrity it makes it a long journey it
3:48
makes it a longer walk yeah you get
3:53
calluses your your Feet's tired but uh
3:56
I've arrived you arrived you arrived
3:59
there you go but it's something to say
4:01
about that consistent work because as as
4:03
you mentioned we bumped into each other
4:05
yesterday and I and I was saying to
4:06
Gabrielle like I just wave to people
4:08
because you see people in the hallway
4:09
it's the human thing to do but when I
4:12
turned around and I saw that was you I
4:14
was like that's my friend even though we
4:16
don't know each other but I've loved
4:18
your work for so long and it's just that
4:21
connection that I felt and I had to come
4:23
over and hug you I had to come over and
4:25
say congratulations for everything and
4:27
as sway mentioned I'm like why you here
4:30
and why haven't um you been here for us
4:32
and it's just too the timing that Divine
4:35
timing always you know with God and just
4:37
lining things up is unbelievable because
4:40
we exchanged numers Sway and then I and
4:42
I said to Gabriel I was like well I'm
4:44
going to see Sway and see the producer
4:46
and then we're going to make this happen
4:47
as I was talking with the people who you
4:49
were with and I was leaving out and I
4:51
turned to the right and Sway and I
4:53
produce a torch was walking down the
4:55
hallway I was like I can't make this up
4:57
you know and so it was meant to be it
4:59
was meant to be and the fact that I was
5:01
sitting there and we both like locked
5:03
eyes and you know we did the black girl
5:04
what
5:08
up the respect of like you know I was
5:10
like yo that's hea be you know but then
5:13
you like yo and then you came over and
5:15
it was the love it was the genuine love
5:17
and I'm all about like my jam right now
5:19
is has always been that I've been
5:20
spreading more uh words about it loudly
5:23
is like women supporting women has
5:25
always been my thing I feel like there's
5:27
always especially with the industry
5:29
there's like this this belief that we
5:31
don't do that and somebody witnessed it
5:33
happened I went to see The Whiz last
5:36
night amazing time okay but there was
5:39
some words some encouragement after the
5:41
show talking to one of the cast members
5:43
and this dude had pulled me to the side
5:44
like yo I loved what I just witnessed
5:46
these black women supporting each other
5:48
and like kicking shop and like spreading
5:50
knowledge and helping the young girl get
5:53
to the next stage cuz that's how you do
5:54
it I never had a mentor but I know
5:56
enough mistakes to to spread the love so
5:59
when you came over yesterday it was kind
6:01
of like the repetitiveness of this thing
6:03
that I've been seeing that I feel like
6:06
doesn't get talked about enough like
6:07
sisters be looking out for sisters and I
6:08
really truly appreciate you for dialing
6:10
in walking over giving the biggest love
6:13
hug words encouragement all of that like
6:16
and then like I said like I'm here this
6:17
morning come on just like that at look
6:20
at God look at look at God also I'm this
6:23
subject of endurance I'm glad that you
6:26
are tying it back to our connections
6:28
with each other as women because it can
6:31
definitely make the journey more
6:33
tolerable you know what I'm saying can
6:35
you give examples um throughout these
6:38
years of maybe some insight some
6:42
perspective some opportunities that your
6:44
fellow mutuals have given and also what
6:47
is the advice that you're currently
6:48
giving to the women that are coming up
6:50
behind you you know what I mean I for me
6:52
it's all about branding that's one thing
6:55
I missed huge like I never I was I grew
6:58
up in a in a Performing Arts environment
7:00
where it was all about the talent the
7:02
talent the talent talent you know you
7:04
practice you do you you hone your craft
7:06
but like the business part of it that
7:07
was never my thing like the Showbiz part
7:10
like I never was good at that so I never
7:12
felt like I knew how to lock down the
7:13
right team the right Mission the right
7:15
Vision so it was like I just was trying
7:17
to grind and climb the ladder and work
7:19
but it's like yo there especially since
7:22
the like I can give an example of a girl
7:23
maybe eight years ago she was struggling
7:26
on figuring out her head shot look like
7:27
this used to be a thing especially for
7:28
black women like put on my Straight wig
7:30
then I got to put on my commercial look
7:31
then I got to put on I was like sis have
7:34
beautiful hair let this be your calling
7:37
card this is going to be your identity
7:39
nobody looks like you but you your hair
7:41
is beautiful this the world is now
7:43
embracing this natural hair movement and
7:45
you're right there at the beginning of
7:47
the curve right she's stuck with it like
7:50
that's when you see her you'll know her
7:52
by her hair um and she did her thing but
7:56
it's just like an example of like having
7:58
the eyesight that Insight that you can
8:00
see looking at others that you wish you
8:02
could sometimes give yourself right that
8:04
same advice but for me it's like what is
8:07
what do you want to do like I have a um
8:09
another friend um we talk a lot about
8:11
like what's the next Vision shout out to
8:13
my girl Brandy Evans from PE valy come
8:16
on she's
8:18
citizen what up B that's the sis so so
8:21
like you know she played my
8:22
sister-in-law and the Bobby Brown story
8:25
but like to see her glow up in this
8:27
moment but it's like we're also being
8:29
very specific like what's next you know
8:31
what I'm saying because it just take
8:32
that one job that took that one job to
8:34
sell her right y but it's like now she's
8:36
got to be aware like what's next CU it's
8:39
all about the future you not the now you
8:42
you got to be preparing for how are you
8:44
going to eat in the future what level of
8:47
comfort and excitement and like energy
8:49
where you still have that same passion
8:51
for whatever it is you want to do in the
8:52
future right so for me it's like I guess
8:54
I done turn into the old [ __ ]
8:57
uh oh my God I'm an old head I'm the old
9:00
head I'm be like come on that over
9:01
ladies back in the day and I only
9:04
realize that cuz when I be out chicks be
9:06
like oh I've been watching you since it
9:07
ain't just women but like oh I loved you
9:09
since the game or I've been watching you
9:10
since high school or i' be like okay uh
9:13
dang okay you know what I mean you like
9:16
oh I have I'm I'm getting a little long
9:17
in the tooth I've been out here but it's
9:19
a beautiful thing in the tooth because
9:22
it's something instead of looking at it
9:23
like oh it's like yo I now that I've
9:26
embracing that I've got knowledge to
9:27
share I want to share it like I it to
9:29
people like that's how you allow other
9:33
people to grow and it makes the this
9:36
thing that we've been working so hard
9:37
like when we look back in our Industries
9:39
all of our Industries there was somebody
9:41
first there was somebody second then
9:43
there was you know what I mean we're
9:45
somewhere in the on the list but we
9:47
don't want to stop the list so the list
9:49
has to keep growing and getting better
9:51
and expounding and the only way you do
9:52
that is by sharing the knowledge and
9:54
wanting that person to be better than
9:55
the next person like you know what I
9:57
mean it's like I don't have kids but I
9:59
feel like those coming up after me I
10:01
want them to have a better experience
10:03
than whatever I've had to go through
10:05
Gabrielle Dennis I'm loving this I'm
10:08
loving this this is amazing
10:11
um playing Whitney Houston I want to ask
10:14
you about that cuz we all loved Whitney
10:17
you know and that and I and you could
10:19
just sneeze incorrectly at Whitney and
10:20
the whole crowd of you'll get backlash
10:23
the whole public again she didn't even
10:24
sneeze like Whitney right but was that
10:27
one of the most challenging roles for
10:29
you absolutely absolutely um it was
10:32
funny when I got cast I was very excited
10:34
and it was like I was like oh because it
10:38
was like it instantly hit how hard it
10:40
was going to be yeah you know um and and
10:43
it's like you want to respect Whitney
10:46
you want to respect the Press you want
10:47
to respect the artist and it was like
10:49
everything happened so quickly I really
10:51
honestly thought I was going to be on my
10:53
uh Ray like I thought this was my Ray
10:54
moment and I was like oh Jamie Fox you
10:56
know he had all this time and they were
10:58
like no boo uh it's Saturday afternoon
11:00
we need you on a flight on Monday uh
11:02
table reads Wednesday that's the first
11:03
time you'll see the script and we're
11:05
filming on Monday the following Monday
11:07
so I literally had days with the script
11:09
oh so it was I was locking it in like
11:12
talking to people that knew her watching
11:14
videos just like studying doing my
11:16
little actor Bible and figuring out
11:17
where she was in different stages of her
11:19
life emotionally because it was so much
11:21
about tapping into I didn't have the
11:22
privilege of like playing the Glamorous
11:25
glorified Superstar yeah you know she
11:27
wasn't in the gowns and like on the
11:29
stage she was at home in the home life
11:31
being the mom being the wife and all
11:32
those things and the the dark side of
11:34
her life that she had to deal with so it
11:37
was harder to tap in that because you
11:38
also know when we hold someone on a
11:41
pedestal like a Whitney Houston that's
11:43
what we see we know them as the artists
11:45
but the human qualities were the harder
11:47
things to tap into because you know
11:48
people most people don't know her
11:50
personally but those that did always
11:51
compliment me and props you got you got
11:54
good feedback from family and friends
11:56
yeah yeah yeah um I don't know if I've
11:57
spoken spoken to any of her family
11:59
definitely some friends and like people
12:00
she's worked with you know directly yeah
12:03
you said you came up in and around um
12:06
entertainment right and you grew up
12:07
around entertainment uh I I would and
12:10
where you from Ohio Cincinnati
12:11
Cincinnati we got the Natty in the
12:13
building what's our guy name uh Lantana
12:17
is that oh Lantana the rapper the rapper
12:20
just just let us what kind of um
12:22
preparation throughout your life did you
12:25
do to get to this point what kind of
12:26
training um I went to perform in art
12:28
school so it was like I did dance drama
12:30
Music Theater the whole nine um but I
12:33
think my biggest skill set to be honest
12:36
is I'm an amazing Observer um and I
12:39
think that's a part of the job is like
12:41
observing your environment especially as
12:42
an artist like you're you're studying
12:44
Humanity you're studying uh people you
12:47
know what I mean so like just going out
12:48
to a park or riding a Subway or getting
12:50
on a bus or working at the mall or
12:51
whatever those things I've been around
12:53
so many different personality types and
12:54
things so so when you cut to something
12:56
like doing a black lady sketch show and
12:58
having to play two dozen characters a
13:00
season and like you know you got to
13:02
fulfill this whole character make them
13:04
make sense in three minutes I know I can
13:06
pull from I think just sense memory you
13:09
know what I mean because this was
13:10
ordained for me like these things that
13:13
I've been studying whether it be dance
13:15
like singing all of that that stuff it's
13:18
like we all have our own Vision then God
13:20
has the vision right so it's just
13:22
finally catching up it's all just
13:24
falling in place falling the past you
13:26
know maybe 10 years but yeah
13:29
the building blocks you know you just
13:31
just made it to Del Frisco recently huh
13:34
um a black lady sketch show to me uh
13:37
should be mentioned in the greats of the
13:39
Richard prior show you know um In Living
13:43
Color you know um all of these great
13:46
sketch shows that have come um in this
13:48
lineage uh tell me why that show was so
13:52
special and why we should continue to
13:54
support Robin the shout out to Robin
13:56
theti first of all she saw me
13:59
as a as a comedian like this is also
14:02
goes to know you never know who's
14:03
watching right I had no idea Robin was
14:06
working on a show ISA and HBO you know I
14:09
I happened to run into Robin I think the
14:10
year before at like Essence fest hadn't
14:13
seen her in years but I used to do
14:14
standup comedy I used to do Live sketch
14:16
she also do live Live sketch and improv
14:18
and stuff like that so she knew me from
14:20
that space and she just hit me up one
14:22
day randomly like hey girl um what you
14:25
think about doing comedy I'm working on
14:26
this thing I would love I was like bet
14:28
whatever she and that we hadn't spoken
14:30
in St she like and this is Robin by the
14:31
way like yeah I know who you
14:33
are but the vi her words to me were you
14:36
are so funny I've been following your
14:38
career and I feel like people aren't
14:40
utilizing you the way to your best
14:42
ability like she's like you're so funny
14:43
and people aren't seeing what you're
14:44
capable of like you are so so funny like
14:47
I have just from you know seeing you on
14:49
St stage and suchu so for her to give me
14:51
the opportunity I don't think if anyone
14:53
else hadn't known that part of my
14:55
history I probably would have never got
14:57
caught in for something like that and I
14:58
would have missed all those moments to
15:00
play all these amazing characters but on
15:03
top of that I think the entity of a
15:05
black lady sketch show just provided a
15:07
lot of new um opportunities and
15:09
firsttime opportunities for not only
15:12
like actresses like myself and you know
15:14
Ash Nicole black and Sky you know
15:17
Townson and like you know all of the
15:19
ladies on that show and obviously Quinta
15:21
Brunson going on to do everything she's
15:22
been doing since wow that's big you know
15:25
but also like behind the scenes with the
15:27
the directors and our um editing crew
15:30
who was like won two IM uh emies you
15:32
know what I'm saying have been nominated
15:33
almost I think every year if I'm not
15:35
mistaken um I didn't like I was like
15:38
female editors I didn't even know that
15:40
was a thing like I had never seen that
15:41
in my career I was like y'all are like
15:43
unicorns and I was so impressed and
15:45
amazed but like to see that that
15:47
institution I wish it was had an
15:49
opportunity to go on and live a life
15:51
like an SNL because it really was
15:53
opening the doors in ways that no other
15:55
institution would have been able to do
15:57
in the space of Comedy for black women
16:00
um so to me I feel like it was
16:01
groundbreaking it was historic it was
16:03
the first of its kind um we were hoping
16:05
it wouldn't be the last or only one
16:07
maybe there will be more in the future
16:09
yeah um but yeah it should be recognized
16:11
for what it was it was definitely
16:13
history making show Revolution
16:15
revolutionary a black lady sketch show
16:18
we got Gabrielle Dennis here uh who
16:20
plays Cass in the big door prize I'm
16:23
going to take a couple of calls and come
16:24
back to that big eyes is from ATL what
16:26
up big eyes what's popping big eyes
16:29
that's good but the big eyes what's good
16:31
people what's good people appreciate you
16:34
uh having me on this morning but uh just
16:37
giving Gabby her flowers man I'm a
16:39
Cincinnati native actually been living
16:41
in ATL for forever but I know of you by
16:45
through a friend Lonnie Jordan and he
16:47
put me on to you when you first uh came
16:50
into what uh we saw you on the game and
16:52
didn't think the things youve gone to do
16:54
after that you've been Dynamite you put
16:56
on for the city very proud of you keep
16:59
keeping on I appreciate that with my big
17:02
heart big eyes I appreciate that all
17:04
right hey you're citizen family my man
17:06
big eyes Jamal is in Maryland go ahead
17:09
Jamal good day good people how's
17:12
everybody
17:13
doing
17:15
God hey I just wanted once again to be
17:18
another person to congratulate you on
17:20
your longevity and the industry and I
17:22
had a question um is there a role that
17:25
you could speak of that you went out for
17:27
that did that you did not get
17:29
and can you like expand on perseverance
17:32
in the
17:33
industry there's
17:37
plenty there's a way longer list of jobs
17:39
I didn't get than the ones that I got um
17:42
so that is the perseverance itself I
17:44
could literally go through hundreds of
17:47
auditions a year oh you know what I mean
17:50
especially the beginning I don't
17:51
audition as much now just cuz I'm
17:53
actually working but the amount of
17:56
auditions I would go through I would say
17:58
no less than than 100 a year damn wow
18:01
like easy easy and you're talking you're
18:04
auditioning for movies and television
18:06
y'all don't really see me in movies so
18:07
mostly my bag is over in the TV Land
18:09
right um but there's a lot of shows
18:12
there's um I was actually on I won't say
18:15
the rol because I don't like to see I
18:16
don't want it to be like Oh you mean
18:18
like it's not about that because it's
18:20
always about the right person got the
18:22
right job you know what I'm saying what
18:23
was meant for you was meant for you and
18:24
I'm a firm believer of that but um you
18:27
know I've auditioned for Rose on
18:29
insecure I've auditioned for row on um
18:32
other projects that I've been on that I
18:33
didn't get but the fact that I still was
18:36
able to be a part of one or two of these
18:37
projects is still amazing um and you get
18:40
the role that was that was right for you
18:42
you know what I'm saying and and and a
18:44
lot of times it's not even about like oh
18:46
I want this ain't about what I want it's
18:49
not about what I want it's about what I
18:51
need and God is going to provide what I
18:53
need and it's going to align sometimes
18:56
with what I want I want to perform so
18:58
you perform you just might not be
18:59
performing that role you know what I'm
19:01
saying that job you know what I'm saying
19:04
um so I think uh the closest thing that
19:07
I could say that I probably got and
19:09
didn't really quite finish is the Luke
19:12
Cage the lote cage yeah when we got
19:14
canceled that one hurt that one hurt I
19:16
got to be honest I wanted to rock them
19:18
AFR Puffs at least whole killed them
19:20
afro puff did I W for like three point
19:24
seconds I was like give us us free I was
19:28
like ni she come outside to play but
19:30
your Alro Puffs is popping Lady of R
19:33
style yeah but yeah perseverance is the
19:36
key bro like and I appreciate the love
19:38
and I thank you for that and I don't
19:39
know what it is that you're pursuing in
19:40
life but like stick with it um It's
19:42
About the Passion cuz you know we all
19:45
know Dion Cole very well and he talks
19:47
about like we only have a certain amount
19:48
of Summers right y um and we got to
19:51
fulfill our life of what what we love to
19:53
do it's really you just got to find that
19:55
passion cuz we all slowly Dy in every
19:57
second anyway so why not enjoy D come on
19:59
damn [ __ ] the hell just happen here
20:02
Gabrielle I was in a good give me a
20:04
drink Heather that's fine you you 5
20:07
Seconds older but 5
20:08
seconds I you hey Jamal you a citizen
20:12
brother way in the morning all right
20:14
damn Dion Cole that's my
20:16
brother
20:19
commercials y getting some good Old
20:21
Spice money off them commercials oh yeah
20:23
that's the gift that keeps on giving
20:24
shouts out to Dion like that was another
20:26
job that came around by like he's
20:28
submitted my name and a hat cuz we did
20:30
like a short film that I did as a favor
20:31
for another friend and he was like bro
20:33
like you're so talented you're so like
20:36
passionate about this he just really
20:37
wanted somebody on board because this
20:39
was his first time doing something like
20:41
that he really wanted somebody he feel
20:42
like could come in and support him and
20:44
he knew he didn't have to worry about
20:45
you know what I mean so this the gift
20:47
that's been given since like 2019 I
20:50
think come on you smell like Old Spice
20:53
up in there too man lady
20:56
spice okay it's a lady SP
20:59
spice the big door prize right yes um
21:02
and so this is it's it's like a a black
21:04
lady sketch
21:06
show big machine arrives in a in a town
21:09
right and and reveals to people their
21:12
fullest potential yeah so this
21:14
mysterious machine just pops in this
21:16
small town of Deerfield out of nowhere
21:18
nobody knows what it's about nobody
21:20
knows where it came from but when you go
21:22
inside it looks like a little arcade you
21:24
know like those driving machine arcades
21:25
like you close the door you go inside
21:27
and it you to type in your Social
21:29
Security now in real life this is where
21:30
they would lose me but they ask you to
21:33
type in your Social Security give your
21:35
put your fingerprints on there and then
21:37
it prints out a card that has your life
21:38
potential and then what happens is this
21:41
whole town goes into like a frenzy it's
21:43
like we're all going through this huge
21:44
existential crisis together trying to
21:46
figure out what the meaning of life is
21:49
some people are dealing with the well
21:50
some not so well and so we follow these
21:53
towns people through their journey and
21:55
what we find in season two we leave off
21:57
so you got to watch season one but
21:58
season until we literally leave pick up
21:59
where we left off in this we're standing
22:01
in the same spot to figure out more
22:03
about this machine um season 2 instead
22:05
of Pi printing out cards it's printing
22:07
out actual showing us animated visions
22:10
of ourselves and so it just kind of
22:12
doubles down on you know this this
22:15
journey for purpose and I think it it
22:18
it's a very important show a lot of
22:19
people who watch it like feel a
22:22
connection to the show and it resonates
22:24
because they're like we all ask these
22:25
same questions in life and we all
22:27
sometimes need need to hear it played
22:29
back you know what I'm saying so when
22:31
you watch a show like this it then makes
22:33
you aware and even just as an actor on
22:35
the show it's actually allow me to ask
22:37
some deep questions in life and like
22:38
kind of like re-evaluate your purpose
22:41
bro like also on top of like okay we
22:45
come out of a when I read the script we
22:46
were during a pandemic like literally so
22:49
the parallels of like the community of
22:51
Deerfield was going through this
22:52
collective experience together just like
22:54
how we all went through the collective
22:56
thing together right but remember
22:58
pandemic everybody was taking an
23:00
inventory of life and like figuring out
23:03
what is important people were work
23:05
wanting to work Less hours the remote
23:07
work thing became a thing like people
23:09
want to spend more time with their
23:10
families and their kids you know and and
23:13
I feel like with this show it's kind of
23:15
that same Vibe right and it is a comedy
23:18
of this score I don't want to it's
23:20
definitely funny it's a funny show
23:21
because I feel like you have to add that
23:22
levity with such topics right but um for
23:26
me it was just kind of going through the
23:27
the Pand then it felt like the industry
23:30
had its own pandemic with the strike and
23:32
I I'm going be honest I felt the way
23:34
there was some I felt the way you know I
23:36
mean about how we were viewed I guess
23:40
you know what I'm saying when you're in
23:40
a strike it's a battle and it's just it
23:42
the gloves was off and it just kind of
23:44
felt real it got nasty at a point so it
23:46
it was an eye opening experience for me
23:48
where I was like this cannot be it for
23:52
me yeah I need other joys in life and I
23:55
already have other joys in life but I
23:56
want other joys in life that pay me
23:59
cuz I'm not going to die on this hill
24:00
where you're going to tell me when how
24:02
and what I'mma do you know what I'm
24:04
saying it's a little too much control
24:06
for my liking so it's just I want to
24:07
spread my wings and don't just have all
24:09
my eggs in one basket and it opened up
24:12
my ideas and and my visions and actually
24:14
was kind of a kick in the pants like you
24:16
be you always talk about you want to
24:17
write you want to direct you want to
24:19
produce so boo boo when you going to do
24:21
do okay let's get it done let's get it
24:24
done
24:29
that's the quote of the year right
24:33
there so the big door prize to me the
24:36
moro machine in our show is kind of like
24:38
that good friend that gives you a kick
24:40
in the pants that motivates you to do
24:41
what you want to do like if this is your
24:43
purpose and you bow about it then let's
24:45
let's see what you going to do with it
24:46
let's see I love it give it up for
24:48
Gabrielle Dennis this is awesome I'm
24:50
glad we made this you got to come back
24:52
he out with her thank you for having me
24:54
she could be a co-host hey coost with us
24:57
whenever y'all need me I'm here bro I
24:58
love it here all right cool
25:01
congratulations on your career on your
25:03
life thank you youo appreciate you thank
25:05
you very
25:06
much oh it was the come can I shout out
25:09
Billy talk I just saying cuz Heather be
25:12
just slid over me this beautiful
25:14
lipstick and liner that she got she just
25:16
got it today literally this has been
25:17
what you said a decade in the making 10
25:19
years this years
25:21
has got own lip gloss line vegan lip
25:24
gloss line and I am wearing this tonight
25:26
on the carpet baby say say word
25:28
say word don't make me cry don't do it
25:32
no you don't understand like that is a
25:33
huge accomplishment 10 years in the
25:35
making you have this product that you
25:38
can stand by and be proud of a vegan uh
25:40
lipstick line right lip gloss line
25:43
that's beautiful likeis you talked about
25:46
it and you walked the walk and here you
25:47
are with a product in hand that's
25:49
beautiful like it came out of your mind
25:51
and now here it is you birth this so
25:54
that's what I'm talking about when it's
25:56
about like doing your vision so
25:57
hopefully in 10 years or so I'll be back
26:00
or maybe 10 months I don't know and I'll
26:02
have something else to talk about that I
26:04
birthed you absolutely will you know
26:06
what I mean because it's about getting
26:07
out of our Cranium and like doing
26:09
something with it amen so
26:12
that's I
26:15
quit I'm quitting with you Gabrielle's
26:18
my new life coach now we have to we have
26:20
to normalize this is inspired by female
26:22
entrepreneurs and we have to normalize
26:25
female billionaires so Billy talk is
26:27
what it is listen that's what oh that's
26:29
even better that's what it's all about
26:31
noriz female billionaire there you go
26:34
the big door prize you can find that
26:36
