0:07

0:10
and listen to a guest that was on the
0:12
show and and
0:15
then just remembering those moments in
0:18
our next guest man this guy right here
0:19
man what a life what a life this man has
0:22
written for himself yeah so far and I'm
0:27
still right and you still right I'm
0:28
still right still right man come on
0:31
you know man that man could have did
0:33
anything he could have been a pro
0:34
baseball player right is that true no
0:36
you know I could have did that man could
0:37
have did that
0:38
I want I still once I stick a swing that
0:40
bad you know I mean but of course you
0:42
know music just had my first music has
0:44
always been my first look okay so I
0:46
never could run away from that okay
0:47
double XL cover remember 2014 Tracy G
0:51
absolutely baby Dirk August Alsina all
0:53
of these I guess what though yes when
0:55
you look at that cover who they had in
0:57
the middle though they had the man we
0:59
got right now he here to celebrate some
1:01
new Ventures he got new music he got new
1:04
energy he had to be the one and only
1:05
Rich Homie Quan
1:13
[Applause]
1:15
third fourth time yeah but in a minute
1:18
it's been a long time it's been a minute
1:20
oh yeah because one time we did um nuts
1:24
with Austin Texas is that South by
1:26
Southwest
1:27
sneaker stores and stuff like that yeah
1:29
when cops told me to tell everybody he
1:32
couldn't come you know what I'm saying
1:35
that you know um your pops and I time to
1:39
time tap down you know we have over the
1:41
years
1:42
um it's a genuine
1:43
um rapport with you you know we you know
1:46
uh watched you as you came in the game
1:48
Watch you face a lot of adversities you
1:50
know you and your pops he's doing he's
1:52
healing well for sure for sure okay
1:55
um we watch you go through a lot of
1:57
controversies
1:58
especially when business lawsuits
2:02
allegedly yeah okay okay he learned how
2:05
to talk that boy know how to do it right
2:06
I wouldn't know how to do it but when
2:08
you look at your career and I'm reading
2:11
from um Tig to Motown to
2:14
um even from you know that um the rich
2:16
gang prop mixtape and and and even
2:19
controversies you dealt with I like
2:21
looking back and seeing how people
2:22
manage because life isn't simple you
2:25
don't never know what's going to come up
2:27
next and here you are right now in 2022
2:30
was it 10 years ago 10 years later Ten
2:33
Years Later wow 10 year anniversary will
2:35
be October 20 I mean September 27th yeah
2:38
10th anniversary man from still going in
2:40
still going in 10 years ago yeah 10
2:43
years ago and we still going like I said
2:45
we're still going we're still dot dot
2:47
dot man
2:49
let me ask you this in that 10 years
2:52
you're obviously you're very well
2:54
established Entertainer you're a
2:55
superstar but you are who you are you
2:57
still you know
2:58
um you still who you are I wasn't going
3:01
to be I was gonna give you a government
3:02
but I'm not gonna go there no still The
3:04
Coincidence okay you're still the Qantas
3:05
Lamar
3:07
you didn't know what this life would
3:09
lead for you you didn't know where it
3:11
would go you've been in it 10 years now
3:13
does it look like you thought it would
3:15
been in this game
3:18
um knowledge still don't look like I
3:19
thought it was only because I never
3:21
thought I would go outside of 285 and
3:23
285 is um it's an interstate in Atlanta
3:25
Georgia goes in the circle
3:28
I'm blessed man beyond beyond measures
3:31
because it could have been over with you
3:32
know what I'm saying like 10 years
3:33
that's a long time and everything I've
3:35
been through
3:36
to be still here to be able to still
3:38
come in with a full team to support me
3:39
just show me God I mean God got my
3:42
favorite man absolutely there you go man
3:44
you speak that song what what has been
3:46
out of all the things you've gone
3:48
through all all of adversity you face
3:50
what has been the most challenging for
3:52
you to deal with which one of those
3:53
moments the most challenging what had to
3:55
have been uh gaining my confidence back
3:58
gaining my confidence back you know what
4:01
I'm saying because when I didn't drop
4:03
that music through all that time you
4:04
know we went through litigation in time
4:06
like it was just hard to get out get
4:07
that cloud from over my head man that
4:10
probably was the hardest part ever
4:11
because I got all the money but the fun
4:13
it wasn't fun getting in the studio no
4:15
more you know what I'm saying so I had
4:16
to find the fun in the game around what
4:18
time was this like what year were you
4:19
were we talking um just after just after
4:21
Flex when you don't hear from your time
4:24
record yeah go after litigation Rock
4:26
2015 2015. 2015. they're out of the
4:29
litigation was the final result did it
4:31
was it in your favor how did it turn up
4:33
oh no no it won't say my favorite you
4:36
know man fly oh TRG it just worked out
4:38
we went out you know when I separated we
4:40
got paid you know everything was good I
4:43
still love but I just talked to fly
4:44
yesterday
4:50
how did you return to your fun what did
4:54
you do to find it again uh what did I do
4:56
uh lock myself in the rate well for one
4:58
I had just bought a new house right so
5:00
we bought the new house
5:01
I didn't set the studio up and everybody
5:03
know whenever I go to the house I say
5:05
the studio I didn't say the studio for
5:06
like a whole year wow you know what I'm
5:08
saying stuff because I just want to take
5:09
a break for a little while so when I did
5:11
set the studio back up but but when the
5:12
studio was not set up I'm just kicking
5:14
it with the kids and they're getting
5:16
older than my dad you remember you
5:18
remember this they say you was to be
5:19
this and they used to work kids used to
5:22
it used to worry used to kill him and he
5:23
knows and the kids are getting older now
5:24
so I hooked that studio back up about
5:26
like a year later stayed on that took
5:28
out a jewelry off took out went down
5:31
there hungry just you know tank top
5:32
flip-flops no jewelry no nothing acting
5:34
like I don't got it nobody yeah nobody
5:37
but me and Dre in there everyday my
5:39
brother that's how I was so I wanted to
5:41
get back to that get away from all the
5:43
shenanigans around me and get back to
5:44
Corn there you go man come on I like
5:47
that man that's really interesting wait
5:49
wait wait when you took the jewelry off
5:50
where did you put it it was upstairs
5:54
you just put it down yeah we didn't take
5:56
it off did you put it back on but even
5:58
like when I would go out I wouldn't even
6:00
wearing jewelry and you know what I'm
6:01
saying I I wouldn't people without
6:04
aren't you are you rich homie Quan I was
6:05
like nah man everybody tell me I look
6:07
like them
6:09
so it's like I just I didn't have the
6:12
confidence man yeah and I got it back
6:14
now you got it back you can see it I see
6:16
you when you walked in man I said what's
6:18
up my shades on he was blinding me with
6:19
all of them look at my face
6:23
uh October 4th oh my God it's happy
6:26
early yeah but he told me to look at his
6:28
skin
6:30
because to me and we're so glad you're
6:33
here for real family
6:35
um and and you talked about getting your
6:36
confidence back but I mean I'll just be
6:39
honest I remember going through
6:41
um a time you know when I was a
6:44
full-time recording artist and more less
6:47
about my confidence spiritually I just
6:50
felt like I was lost in all of it you
6:53
know and I had to become regrounded
6:55
spiritually did you ever go through
6:58
anything like that at some point in this
7:00
game just you kind of lost your
7:01
grounding spiritually I definitely when
7:03
you said that it touched me because I
7:06
found myself praying mode but like God
7:08
dang what I do god um right there but I
7:11
wouldn't question them I just found
7:12
myself building a better relationship
7:14
with God now you know what I'm saying
7:15
once and I got the better relationship
7:16
with God that's when the companies came
7:18
to things I would definitely say that I
7:20
would definitely wow I'm gonna give it
7:21
up a bit God anyway man because I
7:23
wouldn't be here without none of this
7:24
without God I don't know that for a fact
7:25
I think you're special because I believe
7:27
in Redemption and Second Chances and I
7:29
think as youth growth spastically
7:31
growing up in the communities that we
7:33
grow up in we get caught up in a lot of
7:34
trap for sure we tend to celebrate it
7:36
we're like a badge of honor but really
7:38
it's a dead end Street you know we all
7:40
starting to learn that now you know and
7:42
when you did time and got out you really
7:44
turned your life around there are a lot
7:46
of people that call this show who do
7:48
time who've done time and we encourage
7:50
them Inspire them all the time they
7:52
don't always feel like they could get to
7:53
be Rich Homie Quan but how did you what
7:56
how did you turn your life around when
7:58
you got out of jail what was it that you
8:00
sat down and said to yourself way back
8:01
then
8:02
um first it started off in jail
8:04
um the the plan started in jail and I
8:07
know I wouldn't go get no bun I wasn't
8:08
going home
8:10
I'm in that room man everyone smile to
8:12
death like I didn't make it seem Miss
8:14
small yeah I know you can't you can't
8:15
like this touch no I'm sorry excuse me
8:17
but yeah so it's like then I'm trying to
8:19
I'm like what I'm gonna do because then
8:20
it was all baseball college now I got
8:23
the F on my report card what's next
8:24
what's next what you gonna do come on
8:26
call you dead like music she was in high
8:29
school you were shot
8:30
so
8:31
I started right in my room
8:33
I started again I ain't gonna say game
8:35
company because I always thought I was
8:36
good in music but I hadn't been through
8:38
no adversity me getting locked up was
8:40
probably the real that verse that went
8:41
through so now I got a story to talk
8:42
about it okay so I started writing in
8:44
jail like four minutes later
8:46
by the time I got up 15 months later
8:48
there was an economy crazy Rich crazy
8:50
Rich rap for me they still caught them
8:52
like Drake what's up crazy Rich yeah
8:55
they just call me queasy Rich
8:57
okay I don't know how they came up with
8:59
that but from corn but yeah but from
9:02
jail it started there so I got started
9:05
gaining all my confidence in jail I
9:06
started and I started getting my plan I
9:08
started getting my plan in jail okay you
9:10
know what I mean I started did you write
9:11
it down no I didn't write it down I was
9:13
writing songs but in my mind I knew like
9:16
uh
9:17
I want to plan my work get home and work
9:19
my plan there you go straight like that
9:21
you know I mean I just came home so so
9:23
so hungry yeah the hungerness I had then
9:27
I still be looking for that hungerness
9:28
today but I'd be have to tell myself
9:30
like corn United knows you're not in
9:31
that time of your life no more you know
9:33
I'm saying you're not in those
9:34
situations where we had the you can't
9:36
judge you falling in love with strippers
9:37
come on man yeah I don't want no
9:40
stripper you know you don't so it's like
9:42
you know it's like I'm seeing different
9:43
things now you're growing up bro I'm
9:45
evolving yeah you evolving yeah that's
9:48
all [ __ ] I like that way are there new
9:50
Temptations now though you know how you
9:52
hear like new level new Devil
9:54
um
9:56
I think that scar always be that's
9:58
always going to be how you guess I was
9:59
gonna come you know what I mean I think
10:00
that just stay with it but
10:02
I know I'm trying to do more of the
10:04
music now I'm trying to have some some
10:06
movies I won't do a little acting okay
10:08
you know what I'm saying I ain't uh I do
10:10
I keep doing the podcast y'all that's
10:12
y'all Lane but yeah put my sexy stuff
10:13
man
10:15
hey man look I was at the Puma thing
10:18
last night on the runway that was my
10:20
first time ever experiencing it that was
10:22
nice man next to something next time
10:24
where to go I told my PR I'm gonna be
10:26
down there while we're in this [ __ ] did
10:27
you walk I ain't walked I took something
10:29
in the picture you would have thought I
10:30
walked yeah
10:41
all right Mike Muse go for it we're
10:44
talking about Evolution so I'm just
10:46
curious uh what you know what is the
10:48
evolution for music like for you now
10:49
like what are you rapping about right
10:51
now like we watching Jay-Z evolve and
10:53
tell the stories of where he is today
10:55
right so you can see the evolution of
10:56
his lyrics have you thought about the
10:58
evolution of your lyrics like what and
11:00
if so what is the new narrow narrative
11:03
as you're looking to tell I like that
11:04
question uh what a new narrative I'm
11:06
willing to tell it's the same narrative
11:08
it's more so my sound is a is an
11:11
original sound in Atlanta and I had got
11:13
away from that because I felt like
11:16
everybody was sounding like me like
11:18
Cadence's all that so they start I
11:20
started trying to come out with like new
11:22
let me try something new then I'm like
11:24
I ain't gonna try nothing new I'm gonna
11:26
just talk about the new things I went to
11:28
went that I'm going through on my own
11:30
style so it's all it's the same sound
11:32
it's just something just evolving like
11:34
it's still broke stories you know
11:35
because I took my mind back you know
11:37
what I'm saying so that sound just
11:38
evolves yeah that same original Rich
11:40
Homie Quan Melodies which word I'm using
11:43
that's a Melody Melody yeah Melody so I
11:46
still got the Melodies but my voice is
11:48
grown and I'm giving game with the
11:50
Melodies now you know what I'm saying so
11:51
it's like like you say with Jay-Z he was
11:52
like he wouldn't talk about the the
11:54
crack he talking about the the
11:56
billionaires in the house now so it's
11:58
like it's like that but it's on that
11:59
same tone and from the pain from the
12:01
stomach I'm singing from the stomach I
12:03
want you to feel it before you hear it
12:04
the same thing the other thing he did
12:07
and I want to ask you too well let's
12:08
talk about Jay-Z and others um in this
12:10
game is they up the business level right
12:13
because they learn you learn through
12:15
trial and error lawsuits so on and so
12:16
forth dealing with dsps working out
12:19
splits royalties uh lawyer fees
12:22
publishing you know cost still living
12:26
traveling homies child support child
12:29
support I should have said that first
12:31
right and but now you're you're
12:34
independent you got rich homie
12:36
entertainment yes and you're doing
12:38
you're down with Troy Carter Troy Carter
12:40
shout out to Venice man shout out to
12:42
Venice yeah Troy Carter that man is uh
12:44
the business best kept secret listen
12:46
down you know download if you don't know
12:48
that's your fault yeah go Google them
12:50
Google him Google them he's one of those
12:53
people who have been one of the ones
12:54
he's one of those people more than one
12:56
watch that guy all throughout his career
12:57
but yeah that's you got to get up here
12:59
you gotta get your truck up here man
13:00
because
13:03
he is bro yeah he's different so what
13:07
did he so tell me about this Venture and
13:09
how does it differ from what you did in
13:10
the past so first and foremost this
13:12
adventure different
13:14
like when I was signed to um Capital
13:17
Motown
13:19
what made me just make with locked it
13:21
I've never been able to talk to the head
13:23
person I talked short right now he's
13:25
gonna pick up yeah so that then with him
13:27
being a brother
13:29
I ain't got to see no more than I saw
13:31
his house like yeah yeah this one this
13:32
[ __ ] that's it you know I mean then I
13:34
had already Googled him but I was ready
13:36
to get into a distribution you know what
13:38
I mean I wanted it to be with someone I
13:39
felt comfortable with man you know what
13:40
I'm saying and once I uh talked to him
13:43
because I ain't gonna lie we went
13:45
through a lot to get it done but red
13:46
stay on my ass Red stayed on my dad is
13:50
old G2 you know exactly exactly so to
13:52
get it done and man
13:55
it just felt right like you know when
13:56
everything aligned like God told me this
13:59
[ __ ] like I said God God told me how to
14:01
dream because I had prayed all that guy
14:03
showed me let me know what we're gonna
14:05
do my dad called in this day like uh I
14:08
had a dream last night we signed with
14:10
Troy I'm like damn that's it and I'm
14:13
saying call him right now let's see what
14:15
happened
14:17
that's okay you could wake up that's
14:19
11.00
14:23
in the morning
14:30
okay before I leave him
14:33
I want people to wake up for his show
14:43
um you I I want to hear the new song you
14:46
got a new song called crazy that your
14:48

15:02

15:05

15:07

15:10
look but now oh yes definitely the first
15:12
single um it's just like like the
15:14
appetizer okay the fans back away okay
15:16
I'm saying we got some more coming out
15:18
another uh next single drops to 16th
15:21
16th Risk Takers was that two days yeah
15:24
two days risk taker
15:26
um then we got the 10-year anniversary
15:29
on the 10th 27th during the show in
15:31
Atlanta Tabernacle at the Tabernacle
15:33
then a week after that my birthday
15:34
October 4th was dropping the family in
15:36
Moolah uh eight track
15:39
um I don't want to call the album
15:40
because it's not an album
15:43
project that's all you like that yeah
15:46
project okay all right let's open up the
15:49
phone lines Rich Homie Quan is here
15:52
888-742-3345 this is brand new song
15:54
video was out too check it out it's
15:56
called crazy come on man you got it
15:58
right there crazy he's still on top come
16:00
on man he's still on top come on don't
16:02
play I had it I got you got to come back
16:04
hard
16:05
yeah you see why I've been I've been in
16:07
that studio cooking you've been cooking
16:10
appetizing I like that Rich Homie Quan I
16:13
saw the video too thank you man yeah man
16:15
shout out to the shout out to Zach man
16:16
my man from uh Canada yeah uh 365 my
16:20
artist set that up for me and I want to
16:23
give a big shout out to them because I
16:24
would not have
16:25
we had not cap came like that with
16:28
everyone for them so I'm gonna give a
16:29
big shout out Amanda how you doing I
16:30
love your energy man have you been
16:32
humbled in this process oh yeah uh one
16:35
of them one of them shows slow down yeah
16:37
and then uh back ends ain't what they
16:39
used to be you should definitely humble
16:41
your ass it's gonna humble your ass down
16:42
right and at the same time like I was
16:44
telling somebody yesterday
16:46
um I think a lot of the new artists
16:48
be thinking like
16:50
the game need them the game [ __ ] I need
16:54
the game
16:55
I don't the game don't need me I
16:58
appreciate the game you know what I mean
17:00
like so I take it different I need this
17:02
man you know what I'm saying and I
17:04
appreciate it so like now they act like
17:06
you had a game
17:08
dude the game don't need no but the game
17:11
gonna be there bro and what 152 years
17:13
later yeah bro okay
17:15
don't change the players game don't
17:19
change the players do and a lot of us we
17:21
we not living in the we're not grounded
17:24
we're not conscious as we go through
17:25
this because of all this hoopla all
17:27
these lights cameras and social media
17:29
social media and dick riders you know
17:32
say something drop them drop a bomb
17:38
you got a lot of that early on what no I
17:43
wouldn't no no no no I mean but if
17:45
something people had dick riders yeah
17:46
yeah that's what I don't understand
17:47
though you got to get away from that get
17:49
back to your day ones I only want no
17:50
dick Riders don't know yes man around me
17:52
yeah tell me if I'm wrong if I'm wrong
17:53
okay now I mean if I got something to
17:54
call in my mouth come on tell me you
17:57
know what I'm saying tell me okay I
17:58
don't have me looking crazy okay well
18:00
one of those chains ain't sitting right
18:02
so you might want to adjust it I'm just
18:03
letting you know all right man that's
18:06
good you're good now all right dude you
18:08
know Atlanta got a really a really
18:11
staunch a really determined
18:13
um uh black powerful D.A now yes oh man
18:17
what's her name
18:20
yeah
18:22
and she and she um
18:25
she steadfast in cleaning up the streets
18:28
and we see what's happened with Thugger
18:30
and we've seen what's happening with
18:31
Gunner when you look at what's happening
18:34
um in Atlanta how what do you think
18:36
about it first of all a lot of these
18:38
lyrics are being used against artists
18:39
what's happening with them and and how
18:41
has that affected you as an artist
18:44
um well for one I really feel as if we
18:46
should um protect like all right you
18:48
know music is music you know what I'm
18:50
saying a lot of those songs are made of
18:51
the third person anyway I could have saw
18:53
you could have saw it then I also want
18:55
to say you know like free thug man free
18:57
free uh why uh wife and Lucy too because
19:00
at the same time man those guys still
19:02
got families you know I mean got
19:03
daughters and mothers that depend on
19:05
them so I wouldn't want nobody in them
19:07
situations but so how do I stay away
19:09
from I watch what I say like I said
19:10
earlier my kids are getting older they
19:12
can Google me so I can I know that you
19:15
said this in the interview so if I said
19:16
if you know I could say this I care
19:18
about what I'm saying in these songs so
19:19
I know they can listen and they're gonna
19:21
be my dad Rich Homie that's what he says
19:23
shoot them up Bang Bang
19:27
young and so it's about what I tell them
19:30
it's about what you say so at the same
19:31
time like I always say it all could be
19:33
preventable it's all preventable it's
19:34
all hot oh that's like it's inevitable
19:37
but we keep repeating the same mistakes
19:39
what I'm saying is what I'm saying is it
19:41
could be preventable by don't don't get
19:43
on there just talking like you don't go
19:45
everything don't got to be shooting up
19:46
bang bang oh you making shoot them up
19:48
bang bang then you put a talking on your
19:49
back before you make it may be a RICO
19:51
you know what I'm saying so man you know
19:53
let's get back to hip-hop music man
19:54
let's get back to real bars and I'm
19:56
gonna show them that you're about to
19:57
show them I'm gonna change the name the
19:59
attorney is Fanny Willis who's um she's
20:01
incredible
20:03
okay FW yeah she she's and she's on it
20:07
so this actually is a good question that
20:09
you that you bring up Sway and so
20:10
original I'm just curious about that
20:12
like we hear nationally
20:15
um in terms of we look at social media
20:16
those are hip-hop ads like are really
20:19
upset with her like what is the
20:21
conversation like in Atlanta like within
20:24
your friends and your friend group and
20:25
your colleagues and fellow MCS on the
20:28
thoughts of her right and the effort
20:30
that she's doing because I believe both
20:31
parts can be true I like to protect
20:33
freedom of speech and artist uh
20:36
expression Freedom or statistic
20:38
expression but also two you got to keep
20:40
the streets safe so like yeah so like I
20:42
said it's 50 50 like damn I hate that
20:44
I'm a rapper and you know what I'm
20:46
saying I hate that I see my life my
20:48
rapper friends going to jail but at the
20:49
same time Atlanta been on fire so what
20:51
they're saying when I say on firelight
20:53
man it's been so many killings there so
20:55
it's like you do want to clean up man
20:56
you know what I mean she is doing that
20:57
so you got to look at it like
21:00
50 50 man but like you know I respect
21:02
the man
21:05
I won't vote for anything
21:07
why
21:08
because you don't need to be in there
21:10
like I respect what you're doing I just
21:11
wouldn't vote for anything that's all
21:12
it's because of the the investigations
21:15
that she is pursuing within the hip-hop
21:17
Community or for other reasons that
21:21
more so you know what I'm saying because
21:23
like man you got other stuff man you got
21:24
Trump people you want my truck man go
21:26
get Trump for levo rappers worry about
21:28
the president first it wrap us alone man
21:31
that's the president all right come on
21:32
that's all I'm saying that's why that's
21:33
that's why that part of that coming in
21:34
but I love my job I love what you do but
21:36
I am I shouldn't I shouldn't have voted
21:39
for her but you voted though I like the
21:41
fact that you voted
21:42
all right um and everybody's entitled to
21:45
their own
21:46
vote right that's what we fight for you
21:49
know I just shouldn't have voted for
21:52
Biden that's the one I'm mad about
21:54
you didn't need your other option would
21:56
have been Trump you know what you know
21:59
your trumpeteria I ain't saying all that
22:02
what I'm saying food truck though yeah
22:05
interesting ain't gonna lie to your
22:07
truck gonna go there he gonna he gonna
22:08
do his Shenanigans but he's gonna tell
22:10
you the truth he gonna lie to you uh
22:12
debate that one brother
22:15
but he but he blatantly honest though
22:18
he'll be he got some honesty in him no
22:19
nah bro he lied too he live every man
22:27
um I think they all in a sense
22:29
politicians it's hard not to
22:32
um we just lost
22:41
was a friend of the show man I used to
22:44
communicate with the young man a lot on
22:45
text you know I'm from the west coast
22:47
and and they hear that man lost his life
22:50
the way he did and then all the lives we
22:52
pop smoke all these different folks and
22:54
it's happening so fast I'd be so scared
22:57
to get on the social media like the
22:58
scroll like man I might not get on there
23:00
because you're gonna see something man
23:02
even with a little TJ you know what I'm
23:04
saying
23:06
I mean it's probably a dangerous job in
23:08
the world man you know what I'm saying
23:10
then but back to PMB like that was my
23:12
dog the first time I met him was in New
23:14
York in the studio I think we did like
23:15
six songs first day I met him I forgot
23:18
whose Studio was that I might have been
23:19
Jim Jones because he was with Atlantic
23:21
so yeah like a session he wanted me to
23:22
pull up on him we pulled up whose own
23:25
episode uh that night um I don't know it
23:28
was mendish's wife
23:30
[Music]
23:32
Bianca was up there chicken noodle soup
23:34
okay yeah yeah I'm saying that was like
23:36
it was it was just about it's just not
23:38
Vibe doing music and um
23:40
it hurt me a lot man I ain't gonna lie
23:42
man because I like I was in the studio
23:44
when I heard the news so I was like but
23:47
it took so I think it would it was like
23:49
three hours I think I shot before they
23:50
run out from dead yeah so I'm just in
23:52
that recording recording it's like so I
23:53
come out the booth they were like he did
23:54
I was like oh man he died so I stopped
23:58
the song I'm doing
23:59
and when I stopped the song I'm doing I
24:01
was like let's just pull up another beat
24:03
I just got like something on my mind I
24:05
don't want to talk about him but so I
24:07
used that situation to motivate a song
24:09
about just how us rappers had a
24:12
dangerous jobs the most dangerous job in
24:14
the world and they don't know what we go
24:15
through in these different cities man
24:17
you know what I'm saying you see the
24:18
diamonds you see the glitter you don't
24:19
know about the security got to be paid
24:21
but not not but like security got to be
24:22
paid you don't know about the flights
24:25
and all that you don't know about that
24:27
you got to keep you secure man I don't
24:29
care about how big your ego is you know
24:32
you got to know how to move man and then
24:34
you know 10 years in
24:36
I know how to move you know how to move
24:37
how many security guards you got in here
24:39
today
24:40
um I couldn't they won't let that minute
24:41
come up okay but how many is in this
24:43
room because it's a couple dudes ain't
24:44
Smiles since I said hi this morning so I
24:46
figured that's the security
24:50
because she looks dangerous to me is
24:52
that your head of security right here
24:54
all right but nah but I like what you
24:56
said you got to think and move
24:58
differently that's all man like when you
25:00
go to the stand like you go tradition
25:02
Man this ain't gonna this ain't this
25:03
ain't no lie you can ask Goose this was
25:05
just in L.A what like two weeks ago
25:07
three weeks ago we got that got my chain
25:10
on we in Beverly Hills we just walking
25:11
around the corner I took my chain in
25:13
yeah like I'm not from this side not
25:16
that I'm scared of nothing but I don't
25:17
want to bring no extra attention to
25:19
myself so I'll just be like just you
25:21
know everything can be preventable
25:23
everything could be preventable Rich
25:25
Homie Quan do you have to wear chains do
25:28
rappers have to like you don't but I
25:31
ain't gonna lie that's almost like yeah
25:33
say trophies like before we come from
25:34
man you know like
25:41
I saw Dougie fresh last night man he
25:43
looked so good like yeah at the party
25:46
but yeah but I would definitely say
25:47
better change like come on man you know
25:49
where we come from you gotta feel like a
25:51
different person with the mom because I
25:52
remember earlier you mentioned when you
25:55
went back into the studio to get your
25:56
mojo you went without your chains you
25:59
went to just like the basics does it
26:01
like activate I don't know an alter ego
26:03
or something when you put on the Chain
26:05
you feel like two different rich homie
26:06
quans I ain't gonna lie yes I do only
26:08
because I was in the studio what time we
26:10
left the studio this morning what time
26:11
we got back home like 6 30. so I was in
26:13
the studio last night
26:15
um and the internet saying bro I can
26:18
hear Chinese wrestling I said I like
26:19
that I want that I like the jiggle like
26:22
they turned me up so it's just like but
26:24
like
26:25
it makes me feel like a rap it made me
26:26
feel like Rich Homie Quan like that's
26:28
what I said like I'm only Rich Homie
26:29
Quan when I got a mic in front of me or
26:30
if I'm in the studio of course but once
26:33
it come off back directly you know what
26:35
I mean so I just try to do it like that
26:36
I want to hear the song that you wrote
26:38
you talking doing ideas yeah for PMB I
26:41
just did it I got it though you got it
26:43
you know what's your call what's the
26:45
name of it what is that name I still did
26:47
I named it still did we got it we got
26:50
that familiar no one has ever heard it
26:52
this will be the first time this is a
26:53
world premiere let's do it yeah I just
26:55
dropped the day he died hold on so like
26:58
we got receipts so I wanted to show you
27:00
this though before we uh do that we got
27:02
receipts we're the world premiering you
27:03
know World premiere definitely World
27:04
premiere right there Tom come on you got
27:06
it Tom you ready for this all right so I
27:08
gotta go I'm going to my engineer quick
27:09
right okay
27:14
still dead
27:16
song back uh yesterday
27:18
[Music]
27:20
they pulled yesterday yeah okay so it's
27:23
still dead still dead Monday
27:26
I got a song back Monday he doesn't saw
27:28
a time he died they said they say he
27:31
died around probably like eight o'clock
27:32
my time what time did he die they
27:34
pronounced him um deceased at um 159
27:36
West Coast time all right so that would
27:38
have been three hours that's about five
27:40
uh five you know somewhere around that
27:42
time all right but I'm in the studio I
27:43
told you I didn't get it I didn't get
27:44
out the booth to eight okay so I get out
27:46
the booth at eight the song was finished
27:48
then oh
27:50
what time is the song finish
27:52
that says 10 19. okay and that's it
27:55
that's the same day he died so let's
27:57
let's just let's notice ain't no this
27:59
ain't no cow you're not people coming
28:00
Ain't No Cap this will happen at that
28:02
time yeah I see the dates yeah I see the
28:03
time you got a new song and you know
28:05
what I'm saying well Premiere bro come
28:07
here this is uh we bought the world
28:08
premiere right now Rich Homie Quan
28:10
888-742-3345
28:13
I like that brother thank you
28:15
[Music]
28:17
[Applause]
28:20
by that question did you like the song
28:23
yeah it's a powerful song
28:27
you see we're mesmerized
28:29
um it ain't gonna miss me if I was that
28:32
lyric they know they're not gonna miss
28:33
me if I'm still dead yes I know they
28:36
ain't gonna miss because like that's on
28:37
the face yeah now watch how your screams
28:39
go up and that's all that gonna be
28:40
that's what I be saying show that same
28:42
love and support when we here you know
28:44
what I'm saying every time it happens
28:45
screams went up to 200 200 200 they
28:48
should be lame man yeah
28:51
come on they do it every I keep saying
28:53
it's repeated it's repeat I don't even
28:55
sit on I don't even know if I want to
28:57
rap no more if it gonna be like that if
28:58
you're gonna do me like that could have
29:00
gave me flowers you've been telling it
29:01
you know what I'm saying all them fake
29:03
put up the nah man yeah I don't like
29:06
that either man bro you motivate me to
29:07
drop a banger man so thank you bro rest
29:09
in peace to pnb absolutely rich homie
29:12
Quan is here but hold on back to you yes
29:16
you are you saying something but hold on
29:18
I can't call Troy call Troy man Troy
29:21
Carter
29:22
Deeds for Carter yeah Detroit Carter
29:24
whatever you saw them attack wake up
29:27
don't worry about it don't worry about
29:29
it
29:31
you pick up man come on why are you
29:34
calling him
29:35
uh we gonna we're gonna go to Derek real
29:38
quick Derek what up Derek's in Georgia
29:40
what up dude what up Derek family good
29:43
morning good morning
29:45
be real quick I'm trying to get some gas
29:48
I'm out here doing my thing hey but just
29:50
real quick I met Rich Homie about 10
29:53
years ago he was he was doing his thing
29:55
on the come up out here in Hinesville
29:56
Georgia he was at Walmart handed me a
29:59
mixtape and the first thing I thought
30:00
was not another one
30:03
um but when I listened to it I felt like
30:04
I needed to find that man and pay him
30:06
