owner of the company Eric shy meire had

therapy he had all these things for his

staff and I've never seen a company that

took care of their team like that and I

ended up sitting with Eric and he told

me this story about how he started out

with Myspace then he had a company

billion a couple years ago and he

a lifetime looking at race class um

what's wrong with us as a people and and

most of us are emotionally illiterate we

don't know how to talk we don't know how

to communicate and I kept thinking how

do we teach people about emotions and so

I wrote a curriculum about 34 years ago

and people would laugh at me there was

no space in education to address

emotional literacy or intelligence so

all these years later now social

emotional learning is at the top

everybody's talking about it and I felt

like our artists are our translators

we everything has a soundtrack and so I

began to educate artists about emotional

literacy so we could get the workout and

connection is just the challenges we had

get curriculum in the schools and worked

in the prisons because we still um have

it was polished with the prison industry

deconstruct that and to look at how we
