The monthly pension paid by the Venezuelan Social Security Institute (IVSS) remains at 130 bolivars, equal to about $0.25 and the country’s minimum wage. According to the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), inflation in the first two months of 2026 reached 51.94%. Annualized inflation as of February rose to 617.84%, the highest level in the last three years. These figures show that inflation in Venezuela remains the highest in Latin America.
