Footage released by Tachira Civil Protection showed emergency crews carrying injured survivors from the rubble to ambulances during joint rescue operations. The agency said its teams were working alongside specialists trained in collapsed-structure rescue and pre-hospital emergency care. According to the US Geological Survey, magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes struck Venezuela 39 seconds apart on Wednesday, with epicenters near San Felipe and Yumare in Yaracuy state. National Assembly President Jorge Rodríguez said the death toll had risen to 1,430, with 3,238 people injured. Authorities warned the disaster could affect up to 6.76 million people as rescue operations and damage assessments continued.
