Ephrata, United States - July 05, 2026 Powerful overnight storms left behind a scene of destruction near Ephrata in Lancaster County, where a massive tree was violently uprooted and shredded beside a rural roadway. Video filmed by X user Jaiden Meyer captured the aftermath along the rural road, showing the enormous trunk and broken branches scattered across the roadside, with parts of the debris partially blocking the pavement. Broken limbs and leaves covered the asphalt, while a downed power line or cable stretched across the scene beneath gray, overcast skies following the severe weather. Strong straight-line winds produced by the overnight storms caused widespread tree damage across Lancaster County. In Ephrata, large trees were snapped and uprooted, blocking roads and bringing down power lines.
