US, Phoenix: Phoenix Suspect In Custody After Pointing Laser At Police Helicopter.

Phoenix, United States - May 15, 2026 05/14/2026 10:57 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to a Phoenix Police Department official at the scene, officers responded to reports from the Phoenix Police Department’s helicopter “Firebird” stating they had been struck multiple times by a green laser from a suspect standing outside a house in the 2500 block of North 29th Place shortly before 11:00 p.m. Thursday. Officers arrived on scene and located the male suspect and took him into custody. Officers located the laser pointer that the suspect had been pointing at the aircraft.
