US, Phoenix: Phoenix Metropolitan Area Early Morning Dust Storm.

Phoenix, United States - August 06, 2026 08/06/2026 01:20 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – A large dust storm blanketed the Phoenix metro area early Thursday. The National Weather Service in Phoenix posted the following on X at 12:37 am: "An outflow boundary is currently progressing northward and will move through the Phoenix metro during the next 1-2 hours, resulting in gusty winds in excess of 30 mph and blowing dust, potentially reducing visibilities under 2-3 miles." The large wall of dust hit the Downtown Phoenix area around 1:20 a.m. Footage shows the Downtown and Midtown areas affected by limited visibility and heavy winds.
