US, Phoenix: Phoenix Dust Storm Impacts Downtown Area.

Phoenix, United States - August 24, 2026 08/23/2026 09:20 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – A dust storm advisory was issued for Maricopa County and the Phoenix metropolitan area by the National Weather Service on Sunday night. At approximately 9:22 p.m., a wall of dust was observed moving northwest at 30 mph, covering the greater Phoenix area. In downtown Phoenix, visibility decreased to less than one mile due to the dust, along with strong winds exceeding 40 mph.
