Jul 10, 2026
Maryland, United States - June 25, 2026 Howard County police arrested a burglary suspect after an officer connected a reported stolen vehicle call to a commercial burglary across the street. Body camera footage shows officers speaking with the man outside a 7-Eleven store and gas station at dawn or dusk while they investigated the report. During the encounter, the suspect gave conflicting accounts about where he had been. He first said he was at McDonald's before later telling officers that he had left his keys inside the vehicle. Officers connected the stolen vehicle report to a commercial burglary scene across the street. Interior footage from the business showed damage to a window or entry point inside the store. Investigators determined that the suspect had allegedly been carrying out the break-in when his own vehicle was stolen. Police detained the man as officers pieced together the events surrounding the burglary and the stolen car report.
