US, Los Angeles: Malibu King Tides Flood Thornhill Broome Beach Campsite.

Los Angeles, United States - June 17, 2026 06/17/2026 12:00 am GMT-0700 MALIBU, Calif. – California State Parks requested assistance from the Ventura County Fire Department to evacuate the Thornhill Broome Beach campsite due to king tides. Water levels at the campsite were reported to be at knee level. The Ventura County Fire Department responded to the call, and during their involvement, water levels subsided. However, parts of the campsite remained flooded with several inches of water. Campers were given the option to remain at the site.
