US, Los Angeles: Castaic Martin Fire Threatens Mobile Home Park Near Templin Highway.

The incident was first reported at approximately 4:07 p.m. when the commercial truck became engulfed in flames. As the fire intensified, it spread from the burning vehicle into the surrounding dry brush, where warm temperatures and dry vegetation allowed the fire to grow rapidly. Thick smoke was visible for miles as flames advanced through the vegetation toward a nearby mobile home park. A large response from firefighters was quickly dispatched, with both ground crews and multiple aircraft working to slow the fire's spread. Fire engines were strategically positioned around the threatened community while hand crews and bulldozers worked to establish containment lines. Air tankers and helicopters made repeated water and retardant drops to protect nearby homes and stop the fire's advance. Firefighters successfully stopped the forward progress of the Martin Fire before it reached the mobile home park, preventing any structures from being damaged.
