Lincoln City, United States - May 24, 2026 A Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin aircrew from Coast Guard Air Facility Newport carried out a rescue mission involving a 25-year-old female hiker at God’s Thumb in Lincoln City, Oregon, on May 24, 2026. The helicopter crew responded to the cliffside location where the hiker required assistance. She was safely extracted from the area by the aircrew after being reached at the site. Following the rescue, she was transported to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital for medical treatment of her injuries.
