Hawaii, United States - July 12, 2026 A Coast Guard helicopter crew rescued a man from his sinking catamaran offshore Kauai on July 12, 2026. The rescue was carried out by an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew assigned to Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point in Kapolei, Hawaii. After being hoisted from the vessel, the man was flown to Lihue Airport in Lihue, Hawaii. Emergency medical personnel evaluated him after the rescue and reported no medical concerns.
