The helicopter went down for unknown reasons near Temelli on the Ankara-Eskisehir highway. Gendarmerie, firefighting and medical teams were dispatched to the scene following the crash. The Ankara Governor's Office said the R-44 training helicopter had taken off from Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) facilities before crashing within the boundaries of the Temelli neighborhood in the Sincan district at 10:02 a.m. According to the governor's office, both people on board survived the crash with injuries. One was taken to a hospital by ground ambulance, while the other was transported by air ambulance after receiving initial treatment at the scene. Gendarmerie units secured the area and authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, officials said.
