Spain: Rare Animals Found In Spanish Drug Farm Raid.

Ciudad Real, Spain - July 02, 2026 Spanish National Police carried out an operation on a rural property linked to an illegal cannabis cultivation site, where they also discovered rare and exotic animals being kept in poor conditions. Police footage shows tactical units entering the finca, securing the buildings, and taking control of the area. Inside the property, officers uncovered extensive cannabis growing operations, including greenhouses and outdoor plots containing large numbers of plants under controlled setups. Several individuals were detained during the raid. Alongside the cultivation areas, officers found multiple animals living in unsanitary conditions. Video shows dogs confined in dirty cages and enclosures, as well as wallabies and roe deer kept on the site. Some animals were discovered dead in an advanced state of decomposition. Officers are also seen removing surviving animals, including placing a wallaby into a transport crate. Authorities dismantled six intensive cannabis cultivation sites containing nearly 1,000 plants. Two people were arrested on charges including crimes against public health, animal abuse, offences against wildlife and flora, illegal weapons possession, and electricity fraud.
