Footage released by the Madrid Security and Emergency Agency 112 showed the burned area from a firefighting helicopter as crews worked to contain the blaze. Emergency services advised residents in nearby homes to stay indoors because of the smoke. Firefighters, forestry crews, and helicopters were deployed to contain the blaze.
