According to the UME, its teams carried out direct suppression operations by deploying water lines and coordinating closely with the Castilla-La Mancha wildfire service, INFOCAM, and other emergency agencies throughout the night. The fire, which erupted in the Sierra Norte area near La Mierla on Thursday, has expanded under adverse weather conditions, prompting precautionary evacuations in several nearby communities. Emergency authorities have mobilized extensive ground crews, aircraft and military personnel as operations continue to bring the wildfire under control and protect surrounding populated areas.
