Footage released on Tuesday, June 23, showed divers heading to the dive site, children playing along the shore, local residents, and a wide range of marine species in the waters surrounding the island. The footage included barracudas, sea turtles, sea hares, pink frogfish, pygmy seahorses, sharks, giant barrel sponges, sea urchins, anemones, moray eels and soft corals. Strong ocean currents carrying nutrient-rich plankton help sustain the island's diverse marine habitat, making Si Amil Island one of the world's leading destinations for macro diving.
