Germany: Police intervene as thousands march in Berlin on International Workers’ Day.

VARIOUS OF POLICE DETAINING PROTESTERSBERLIN, GERMANY - MAY 1: Thousands of people gathered at Oranienplatz Square in the Kreuzberg district following a call by left-wing groups, later marching toward Sudstern subway station in Berlin on Friday, May 1, International Workers’ Day. During the march, some protesters covered their faces and colored smoke bombs were set off. Near the end of the demonstration close to Sudstern station, police surrounded part of the group and intervened, detaining a number of participants.
