Held under the motto Haltung ist hot, meaning Taking a Stand Is Hot, the demonstration combined colorful celebrations with political calls for LGBTQ rights, equal treatment, democratic values and stronger protection from hate crimes and discrimination. Organizers warned that queer communities are facing growing hostility and political pressure in Germany and other countries, while participants carried rainbow flags, banners and signs calling for visibility, freedom and solidarity.
