VARIOUS OF SECURITY FORCES CLEARING ROAD AND REOPENING ACCESSPARIS, FRANCE - JUN. 15: Pro-Palestinian activists blocked access roads to the Eurosatory international defense exhibition on Monday, June 15, in protest against the participation of Israeli companies in the event held in Villepinte, north of Paris. The Eurosatory defense exhibition opened in the Paris suburb of Villepinte, drawing defense industry representatives from around the world. A group of pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered near the exhibition venue to protest the presence of Israeli firms at the event. Protesters carried Palestinian and Lebanese flags along with placards reading “Stop war profiteers.” They chanted slogans including “We are all children of Gaza,” “Stop arming Israel,” and “Israel is a murderer, Macron is an accomplice.” The demonstrators blocked vehicle access to the exhibition site and staged a sit-in at a nearby roundabout. Calling attention to civilian deaths in Gaza and Lebanon, protesters urged French arms manufacturers to end cooperation with Israeli companies and demanded a halt to all arms shipments to Israel. The protesters also played music, including the Italian folk song “Bella Ciao,” during the demonstration. Police later intervened and cleared the road and roundabout, restoring traffic access to the exhibition venue.
