VARIOUS OF POLICE OFFICERS FORCEFULLY REMOVING AND DETANING PROTESTORSCOLOGNE, GERMANY - SEPT. 3, 2026: Around 300 anti-war activists blocked the access gate outside the Luttich-Kaserne military barracks in Cologne on Thursday, Sept. 3, as part of a demonstration against arms manufacturing and expanding defense spending. Police officers blocked the way of demonstrators before removing and detaining several protesters. Police officers in riot gear intercepted the crowd, setting up security perimeters to block demonstrators and detaining several individuals who refused to clear the roadway. Organized by the activist coalition Rheinmetall Entwaffnen ("Disarm Rheinmetall"), the blockade aimed to disrupt operations and draw attention to Germany's increasing military involvement abroad.
